A doubt. Wont this effect the vehicle registration papers? especially when he plans to sell the bike in future. since the color is mentioned on the RC book.

      • hey guys i am facing a problem.

I had booked a ns 4 days back and today i was supposed to do a predelivery inspection following which the bike would be registered in my name. But I just got to know that the showroom has its storage in kandivali which is 32 kms from here. I asked how he would be getting the bike here and he said a staff person will ride it till here. Listening to this i asked whether i could get the delivery from kandivali itself, to which he is giving excuses of various sorts. he says to come over check the bike and tell then decide to accept it or not. but i know that staff guys is gonna whip the machine from kandivali till here. Problem is I have already made a full payment. My freinds are saying to trust the guy and go ahead what should i do.

        XXXXXXXXXXXXXX UPDATE XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

problem sorted... after repeated requests the representative has finally agreed to it and says i can do a PDI and get delivery from their andheri showroom which is just 6 km from kandivali.

AAAHHHHH what a relief. I am supposed to go tomm at andheri for a PDI.... Fingers crossed ..... Wish me luck

        • Thanks guys! The method of holding full clutch, waiting for the right speed and blipping throttle to 3k RPM makes downshifting butter smooth.

I wanted to ask something.,... my bike's engine(in neutral too) is making a tsssssk-like sound(like a bicycle going downhill chain sound) and it increases with more RPM. The bike's vibrations have increased(I think). I have been riding at 8-9k RPM from past 2 days. Has this revving damaged my engine(odo is still 500kms)? Have I broken the smooth running-in process??!

My 200ns is suffering from some issues which SVC people are unable to get sorted out or acting such !

2nd service done, current odo reading 5800, running on Bajaj oil

            1) Upon reaching 5k-6k rpm, huge rattling & vibrations are emerging from meter console & front fairing. This keeps coming in between 5k-8km & at speeds 65-80kmph.
            2) Once cruising at this speed & rpm combo, bike feels as if I am redlining the odo - very harshly is the behavior of the bike.
            3) Ride has also gone harsh, even on flat road - bike tends to behave as if I am riding some pat-holed road. Seems something wrong with suspension set-ups.

NS owners from Hyd, need your valuable inputs - advice me which mech/svc to visit to sort this issues out. My current svc is Deccan Bajaj @ Ranigunj. Have visited them 3-4 times since last 2-3 months but they are unable to sort out issues completely. They fix it for the moment & this comes back after a couple of days.

I may facing huge mental set-back because of this issues, I hardly drive above 70kmph speed & has done only 110kmph twice - not even tried to reach the top whack. ALL YOUR INPUTS WILL HELP ME SORT OUT MY BIKE FROM ISSUES AND MAKE ME A TENSION-FREE RIDER.

            Best Regards...

i got my bike from varun motors kondapur ,odo of my bike is at 2200 and i am also facing the issues 1 and 2 mentioned by you. went to service center 2-3 times but they are not able to resolve it. please inform me also if you get it resolved.

            regards
            Chandan

I had this same query posted 2 or 3 pages before....
Try lubing your chain bro.Manual says, we must lube the chain every 600 - 700 kms.

Took my NS for its 2nd Service today. I told them about the issue of my tachometer varying (kind of like breathing) between 1.5 - 1.6 rpm when at halt.
They said its just related to the tuning of the bike and that they would get it fixed by tomorrow.
Also told to bring Rs 200/- tomorrow ....
              100/- for chain lubing
              50/- for oil top up
              50/- for tuning.

It's not chain problem bro. I just got it lubed. The bike's engine makes tsssk sound while standing at one place in neutral. Is revving to 8-9k RPM at 500km odo unhealthy? Have I damaged the engine?

How can you rev up a Bajaj engine 8-9 k in running-in period?
you don't value for your money?

I revved the bike once..... and man.... I can't control myself on an empty road! I tasted 8-9K RPM..... its really difficult to resist. :P
But my question is this - does such a powerful bike get spoiled just by revving to 8-9K?!

even in the first kilometers you can find tha lack of refinement of engine, right?
& do proper running-in as prescribed by bajaj (in user manual)
It will be good for you

I am talking about frequent high rev riding. avoid it

dude chill. your engine is fine & revving up an engine once in a while within run in period is OK... in my experience. But try not to over do it. Like redlining 8-10k too often is not advised .. but it's OK if you gave it one short burst of higher RPM. I feel what's important is not to rev up an engine when it's cold, let the oil circulate first at a minute of idling & ride a few kms.. and then you CAN give your bike's young engine short few burst of higher RPMs (i suggest below 7k only), but still do as manual says. Somebody here in this thread said this -> don't abuse your bike when it's new... but don't pamper it either !
lol I also understand the temptation when you see an empty road. NS is my first bike & even I could hardly control myself when my bike was in run in period.

it seems you got the repairs done, also rim tapes look nice! I wanna get rim tapes too but I'm worried I may not like it or the color afterwards..

how important it is to feel strong,
                              rather than just being strong.
