  • Pulsar 200 NS problems..

Done 1k kilometers on the NS and first service also @ 640 km. But I still feel vibrations .... and the pillion seat as hard as ever... so is there any way to reduce the vibrations felt by the pillion..and to make the ride comfortable.?

And at what speeds should I drive....(speed limit)

Double sided tape between panels and rubber bushes on bolts.
For the seat, add 1 inch foam underneath or use a thick seat cover.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

          • Back from a TD. Wow, this is an amazing machine. Sat pillion while returning to showroom to check the seat, and yes, it does scare you if you are taller than the rider.

            • hi guys, my bike has run 2800km..now it has developed a serious problem.the bike wont go past 50 km/hr and it rpm doesn't go above 4k. The bike now sounds like an autorikshaw and it heats up pretty fast.it has been 2 weeks since i gave my ns for repair to the svc...the svc people are telling me they need to replace a bearing and since the spares are not available there they have been keeping me waiting.i don't know what the actual problem is. GUYS help me... what do you think the problem might be?.Is there any chance that they will replace my NS for a new one if i go to consumer court?

A couple of things.have you cleaned the carbs yet? i guess not.
Another item, how tight are your throttle cables?
Another thought, will the bike rev past 4K with choke on? If so, then you're getting too much air or not enough fuel (blocked jets).
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

nope carbs are not cleaned, throttle cables aren't tight . the bike doesn't rev past 4k even after giving full throttle...and the bike grunts like an autorikshaw

Yes. Its not difficult but sometimes it does get stuck when going to 1 gear bit of a irritation to play around with to get it sorted imo

but what you're saying is quite scary man. the problem with ur bike might be small & should be sorted out once the SVC guys get the necessary spare parts from Bajaj plant.. which takes time ! This is why 2 weeks have gone past with your bike still being at SVC. Have a little faith.
Btw, did you pay for the bike all at once & got it financed ?

I pushed it to the roadside(a behemoth task...pushing a 200NS with its brake jammed), killed the engine and waited for 5 minutes till the brake got loose again. Does it have something to do with the metal of brake levers expanding due to engine heat?
Just posting something that happened on a recent group ride.
One fz guy in our group was commenting on the bad quality of components on the ns.. on asking what problems he was facing, he said the brakes kept heating and jamming, something i never faced on my bike.. when he sat on his bike, we noticed he was using the brake pedal to rest the front part of his right foot! Now a drum brake has a little bit of play as compared to the discs on the ns..
Even a little.pressure on the pedal while driving might cause the brakes to heatup.. just check if you do this while driving..

I dont intend to offend anybody, but we all have some room for correction in our riding styles

Exactly , the first place to look for mistake is within the rider itself, the person has to analyze first if he is doing something wrong in order to cause the problem. No one is perfect. A lot of the problems that occur on a bike is caused due to rider negligence or ignorance about how the bike is to be used.

I'm glad you pointed that out mate..!!

                          • I do agree with you guys...but the NS' rear brake pedal is in such a position that you cannot rest you foot comfortably on it (at least on my bike),you need to get used to it. Initially my muscles around the shin area used to get strained because of the awkward position of the pedal, but i'm used to it now.
And the brake pedal cannot be adjusted(the pedal itself, not the pedal-piston play)...

Don't you think changing from stock oil to Motul, would void your warranty ?? BTW how much kms till now ? That you preferred to change the oil from stock to Motul ?
