Top up around 100ml.. This thing happens with lots of ns. It takes more oil than owner's manual says. I observed 2-3 Ns and mine also take more oil and there is no leakage or damage.Originally posted by Harsha Mahendrakar View PostDo you guys think ..am I running on enough engine oil..!? And will I be able to get 1.2liter Baja dtsi oil at svc?? Or would need to buy two 1liter bottles???

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
From the pics bro you are definitely running low on oil. The oil, when the bike is vertical needs to be between the two hook kinda protrusions. Yes bajaj svc center will give you 1.2 liter oil.. No worries on that.Originally posted by Harsha Mahendrakar View PostDo you guys think ..am I running on enough engine oil..!? And will I be able to get 1.2liter Baja dtsi oil at svc?? Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Oil is in between Min and Max level only no issue. Correct way to check the oil level is by warming up the engine for 5 mins that too in morning, coz over night most of the oil will accumulate back to the sump.Originally posted by Harsha Mahendrakar View PostDo you guys think ..am I running on enough engine oil..!? Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I disagree. You should check the engine oil level after bike stays steady without turned on for 5-6 hrs. Pls see the owners manual for clarification.Originally posted by Mohankumar Bruiser View PostOil is in between Min and Max level only no issue. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
its nice discussion going on on braking techniques.
i will also like to share my experience and views on the same.
lets consider 70-30 ratio when rider sits in middle of seat. more he puts weight on shoulders (handle bars) or moves closer to tank, in short weight on front wheel increases, ratio goes like 80-20 or 90-10. more he moves backwards or weight on rear wheel increase, ratio would be 70-30 or 60-40(if pillion is on board). these ratios are for indication purpose only.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostFishtailing happens if one sits on the very front of the seat, like almost to the tank and does a braking. Also your rear brake has to be used very lightly
i'll come to panic braking later.Originally posted by sharadh View PostI sit with my back touching the rear seat. And the situations when my bike fishtails are usually those where light brakes dont prove useful. Like i said, panik braking. I have rode a couple of bikes but havent faced such a problem in any of them.
in any case, if rider sits closer to pillion seat or tank, if any of brake is applied, weight will shift to front only.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostIt differs from bike to bike.in that case apply more front brake.you aren't applying the correct percentage of breaking.its like 70% front and 30 rear
there is bit change in procedure, i agree with your concept though.Originally posted by Jinoy Joy View PostHere in India, riders are much dependent on the rear brakes---for braking. We all must know that 75-80% braking effect comes from the front-end, where most of the weight gets transferred, during brake application. So more than even a little dab of rear brakes would lead the rear to slide about. Its high time riders understood that even 70-30(F:R) brake bias is not good. Real stopping power comes from the front end tires only. The rear brakes are only meant for stability, and some minor braking effect at lower speeds. But when halting from high-double digit/triple digit speeds is concerned, 90-10(F:R) brake-bias works for me. Always.
i remember, long time back i saw a video on YouTube for popping up wheelie on pulsar 220. it was shown there in animation to gently tap rear brake so that weight will transfer to front forks and release, this will make fork coming upwards, the time when upward movement of fork is initiated, help this inertia with acceleration and front will lift.
i am just considering first part here, ie, to shift weight to front wheel. in my case, no matter where i am sitting, i tap and hold rear brake, front goes down a bit indicating weight is shifted to front part then apply front brake while keep sliding towards tank, one or two gears down. keep increasing front brake and leaving rear. and bike comes to halt. logically its sequential procedure, but we have to do it so fast that it seems simultaneous. but any change in sequence will be noticed by fishtailing or bit skidding front wheel or unusual engine sound(if down shift is not at proper timing).
i think i am confusing you all here. but more or less we all do same thing knowingly or unknowingly. same as that of counter steering.
hope it helps.
keep riding, improve controlling.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Sorry to disagree bro. By warming up the engine before checking you are throwing the oil up to lubricate the engine which means all oil is not in the sump. If you then try to refill you are invariably going to be having more than 1.2L oil in the engine.Originally posted by Mohankumar Bruiser View PostOil is in between Min and Max level only no issue. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Please show side view and front view of the bike with this setup. Have you tested it at 120s and 130s??? Does it do any possible help in reducing windblast? A lot of AS owners say the fairing does nothing than adding weight and spoiling the look.Originally posted by vvk1999 View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It just took 20-30 minutes to fit all . Its possible to fit the side screw s on existing holes but u have to remove the existing visor & also u wont get a upward angle .Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostSo its not plug n play thing i ordered the windshield but will use it only when touring..

I don't drive at those speeds but it really helps at speed above 60kmph but sometimes i feel steering heavy to steer . Fit the visor in such a way that , the rider should not see the front part of visor while sitting at driver position. This way it will be more effective.Originally posted by jhbalaji View PostPlease show side view and front view of the bike with this setup. Have you tested it at 120s and 130s???
