That yellow color bolt?

Also please tell me should I got with Hella/Roots for the horn upgrade?? Something screams on the entire road alike superbike is what I want instead of the tiny-teeny stock horns.
DIY posts would be helpful too.

Hey guys!

Here with anotherPulsar 200ns windshield diy!

I had got hold of a as200 windshield last month, but due to lack of time and proper screws had postponed the project.
vvk1999 had posted few days back about his shield, so I went hunting for the pulsar 220 screws. thanks mate!!

And last night started with my diy

Time required: 15 minutes

Tools required:

1.small + screw driver,
2.pz1 size + screw driver,
3.strong knife
4. As windshield
5. 4 or 6 windshield screws and rubber cushions.
6. Ds tape

Note: I used pz1 because the windshield screw fit snug over it.
Don't get confused with what pz1 is, you can use any + screwdriver which has same diameter as your screws.

Cost : 350 for visor + 30 for 6 windshield screws.

Steps:
1. Fit two screws on the top two holes of as visor , so as to create support .

2. Use some ds tape and stick it on ns visor at 4 places so that you get better understanding what needs to be done.

2.a. Use ds tape at the bottom end, and near the screw , place as Visor over it and mark the holes you need to make.

3.use the small screw driver over the marking you have made and try piercing the ns visor ( as if you were tightening a screw there) it would not take any effort.
Once the hole is created on all 4 places.

4. Take the pz1 and place over the small holes and again screw the holes, this way you would have perfect drilled holes without a drill.

5. Remove the Ds tape and place as visor over ns visor, screw them together with windshield screw.

6.mark the as visor at the place where it meets ns visor screw area, carve the area out with a knife, would not take much effort .

7. Voila, you are done.
Go back and fix the visor on the beast.

Sorry for low light pics, had a dying battery!

I replaced the stock ns screws with the new screws to improve on aesthetics and ease of installation.

Collars? I guess you mean washers.

I used rubber washers which came with the visor screws.

You mean sprocket right?. Ns has 39 tooth and rs has 41. Swapping them will get you increased low end (acceleration) but a drop in high end(top speed and your cruising rpm will be higher). Shortgearing.

So if low end of power band is of your interest them yes, you will see increased pick up..But I wouldn't do that because my cruising rpm would become a bit higher than regular....as well as top end.

The reason why rs and as were short geared was to compensate its additional weight....else it would exceed 0-100 score close to 11secs which is close to p220 range. Plus the engine will also feel sluggish (already some complain about sluggish effect little bit still).

Have been spending my recent week off's at ASC hopelessly trying to resolve long impending issues like engine bogging, surging etc etc..

Got a chance to look at the carb innards, could not find/read the digits on pilot jet but on the main jet it seemed like 115 but mechanic very confidently said it's 71.5 also per the link the needle jet is a fixed type but by adding washers the mixture can made rich but not lean (per mechanic)

Somebody PLEASE share info on a trusty ASC/workshop in and around Delhi/NCR, that can bail me out of misery [emoji35] [emoji25]
So I took the bike to Bagga Link, Karol Bagh and explained the situation in detail to Service Mgr.

He said this could be due to 2 reasons only A) Carb B) Electrical isuues

Now, I've put down a deposit (refundable) for a new carb which will be available next week.

Wait begins...in the meantime he suggested to have the present carb soaked in acetone overnight; will get this done ASAP
Never argue with a fool, for he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Can you elaborate about the problems you are facing with the bike? Asking this because recently I also got the carb cleaned and the service guy told me that he opened up the whole carb and soaked it in acetone for a day. The problem which I face is that i do not feel the acceleration linear after 5k rpm and vibes creep at foot pegs, handle bars and tank area and gets reduced at 6k rpm but the vibes are kind of extra ordinary at 5k rpm this issue was not present earlier.

It all started a few months back with a "flat spot" at 5k -6.5k rpm (high gears)

Kept growing to bogging/surging/hesitation etc at those rpm (high gears)

Lately I just could not hold the throttle steady and cruise without jerks/hesitation in higher gears

Very recently got the carb opened and had the needle jet position changed/adjusted etc....now the jerks/hesitation are evident in all gears

Yeah I was also facing the same issue, the hesitant nature of the bike to climb higher revs is quite frustrating especially when you are on an open road its like the bike isn't willing to rev and it is being forced for it. I feel this very thing between 5k-6k rpm band the bike somewhat struggles in picking up the revs. I have noticed one thing that once you rev the bike to say 8k or 9k rpm after that it feels much smoother and comfortable even at 7k rpm.
