Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Im using 7100 20w50.. Drain interval 5k easily. Dont worry mate.. The oil color doesnt change to black. It does its job pretty well.. Its a fill it shut it forget it proposition.. The best !!Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostGuys anyone using motul 7100 20w 50 oil?
I serviced my bike yesterday oil had done fricking 7000kms with only little signs of harshness after 5000kms
What amazed me was the drained oil colour was reddish black and not completely blackish .. Kind of worried whether the oil is doing its job of keeping internals clean or something else is wrong..
The oil filter had turned blackish though...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Even though I ride fast.. And i mean triple digits regularly, by the grace of God, have NEVER had a single skid or a fishtail in my ownership of the NS. coming to think of it im not a knee scraper or a corner craver.. Could that be the reason ..Originally posted by sharadh View PostYou probably need hours of burnouts in order to wear them down i guess:banghead:
I am also still stuck on the eurogrips. Suffered a lot of fishtails. Wondering when my luck will run out on me. Hoping to make a jump to the Michelins. My mechanic owns an NS too and he cant stop talking about it

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
You sir are one lucky person. The problem of fishtailing i face is usually in city limits riding at sane speeds. Just a couple of days back, i met a moron breaking a red light and he came right into my lane. I braked in somewhat panicky way but not hard enough to lock up my tyre. And yet the rear locked up and fishtailed like anything. My speed was hardly 50kmph. While cruising on highways, i haven't faced a situation requiring sudden braking and thats the reason i havent fishtailed at high speeds.Originally posted by GauravD View PostEven though I ride fast.. That is one reason (not much of tyre wear) why bajaj put tvs euro for cost effective and long life [emoji6]Originally posted by GauravD View PostEven though I ride fast.. Burnouts or frequent wheel locks....will result in wear. My mrf locks on hard braking but doesn't do too much of fishy tail... on wet, yes it scared me twice on rear wheel locking....like omg

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yah, plus cornering isn't that good with euro. But rest is just decent for it's cost. Now using tvs in my activa which had mrf earlier. I don't feel anything because I drive it like scooter [emoji4]Originally posted by GauravD View PostEven though I ride fast.. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys I am facing a buzzing vibe especially at the right foot peg when I slow down before a stand still. I replaced the chain and sprockets few days back only. Is it because of the new chain and sprockets or the chain is too tight?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys,
There is 140/70 17 pilot street radial is available. I was surprised since I always thought it would be 140/60 or 120/80
It costs around 5900 and the old tyre will be bought for 50% which the owner claims as 2000 and so only 1000 rebate.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Would 140/70 require any mod?
Any improvement in suspension will I get?
Any reduction in mileage?
Any improvement in hard braking?
How would be wet/dry /gravel grip with this Michelin?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
What would be the Tyre life out of it?
Would Michelin sporty at 3500 makes it a good deal?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Any word on pirelli street demon?

Just Yesterday, I Installed Mrf Zapper FX1 (FZ v2 Front tyre) for the front, And Rear Zapper S 130/70 for the Rear.
Both Costed me 4800rs in Mumbai.
The Grip Levels are amazing, Specially the Zapper S being more round profile is always ready to dive in the corner.
I had the chance of trying Revz S too installed in my friends bike. While Zapper S provides you with greater lean angles,
Revz S provides you with better Breaking in the rear, meaning lesser fish tailing.
MRF's are best for Indian Conditions.

Have u faced any fish tailing yet? I know you just installed it. But do let us know how are these as compared to eurogrips under panic braking.Originally posted by Seamus View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I sit with my back touching the rear seat. And the situations when my bike fishtails are usually those where light brakes dont prove useful. Like i said, panik braking. I have rode a couple of bikes but havent faced such a problem in any of them.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostFishtailing happens if one sits on the very front of the seat, like almost to the tank and does a braking. Also your rear brake has to be used very lightly

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It differs from bike to bike.in that case apply more front brake.you aren't applying the correct percentage of breaking.its like 70% front and 30 rearOriginally posted by sharadh View PostI sit with my back touching the rear seat. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Here in India, riders are much dependent on the rear brakes---for braking. We all must know that 75-80% braking effect comes from the front-end, where most of the weight gets transferred, during brake application. So more than even a little dab of rear brakes would lead the rear to slide about. Its high time riders understood that even 70-30(F:R) brake bias is not good. Real stopping power comes from the front end tires only. The rear brakes are only meant for stability, and some minor braking effect at lower speeds. But when halting from high-double digit/triple digit speeds is concerned, 90-10(F:R) brake-bias works for me. Always.

Zapper-S lot better than EuroGrips.Originally posted by sharadh View PostHave u faced any fish tailing yet? I know you just installed it. But do let us know how are these as compared to eurogrips under panic braking.
Zapper-S will give you feedback before it closes on braking. This was not the Case in EuroGrips.
How ever Revz-S is better braking compared to Zapper-S.
The Contact Patch of Revz-S is more than Zapper-S.
