off-topic: Got my friends CL350 for few months from an onsite going friend. I'll be storing it in my garage for few months. Took about 40km ride yday. Man... that's really a metal monster... excellent torque. What impressed me was the superb ride quality. The suspension is so so soft and takes on every potholes so nicely.. On streets with stones laid I'd usually ride at 10-15kph on NS, but with this I was doing 40+ without ANY DISCOMFORT...can you beat that?. I'd really suggest for those who have tail bone or back pain... Plus no vibrations reach the seat as it is seated through spring.

The major disaster is handlebar and footpeg vibes... A big disaster...!!! At low speeds in low gear, the handle bar literally vibrates which is even visible (rumbling) . Only at speeds 60-80kph at gear 4 and 5 the vibrations are reducing... The lack of balancer shaft is clearly visible, esp at low speeds and speeds beyond 90kph. Plus 90kph seemed scary on longer stretch of road as the suspension is soft, I often felt uncontrollable.. Back on my NS, I never felt unstable...!!!. With my colleague of ~75Kg the bike didn't even show any drag or hiccup. I didn't even feel like somebody was sitting at my back, so this is where the torque goes... With NS, I'd felt it many times and would wish when the pillion would step out of my bike... Anyway I don't want to take that RE often, as the vibes are not bearable for me. 40Km felt like a 200km ride effect .

Now Himalayan with refined engine with balancer shaft and cruising speed of 110kph with good NVH... can't wait to see. Anyway my eyes are locked hard on BMW G310r...
Himalayan is definitely one of the hottest tourers to be hitting the roads, not considering the likes of the Versys and the benelli.

Reportedly shitloads of research and testing has gone into this bike most of it in the UK and the outcome looks damm promising. Judging by the way REs have come back with a bang into the bike market they seem to have done their homework well.

Just hope the techno changes that they have made pays off..

The CL350 turns out about 28nm of torque and you did not feel any lag in pull, the Him~ has about 32nm with about 25 horses so I am guessing it may have a more lively feel vs the present REs.

But if I spin and begin to slide
I pray, dear God please protect my ride
And if I lay down my bike today
I pray to God I walk away...
I walk away to ride another day

Judging by the fact that it churns oit about 32NM of torque and 25bhp, yes it definitely will not be in the race for the fastest indian but may turn out to be a worthy contender for the most comfortable indian. Fingers crossed ... Waiting patiently for the 17th of March.
RE is a bike's equivalent to a 2 ton Benz car Once it gets going, it flies! Pickup is not so bad if you use the right revs, because the torque is 32 compared to NS's 18Nm. Anyway can't beat the 10 sec 0-100

Himalayan... I even have it in my shortlist. Waiting for the initial reviews and ownership reports. But I seriously worry about the quality of RE bikes when comparing to others.
As I am suffering from Backpain, I want a comfortable bike. But for the past 2 years, I have been riding 200NS. You know, switching from a powerful bike which clocks 0-100kmph in less than 10 secs to a lesser powerful one is really painful for me. That's why I am hesitating to buy REs.
res are know for low-end torque and thumps its not about 0-100 its all about thump and solid build its not meant to ride above 100kmph sweet spot for REs are 60-80kmph
My friends have cl350 and cl500
And CL 500 is beast torque is MINDBLOWING lill twist on throttle and you cruising at speed of 90-100
But vibrations on handle bars and foot pegs are unbearable on long ride at higher RPMs
After riding RE my NS feels buttery smooth [emoji16]

Yes I know. My friends own TB500,couple of electras and CL350s.
You know what, the power that you get when you downshift and redline while overtaking in our 200NS, that's just awesome. Makes me lean towards highly refined powerful bikes. Hope you have experienced it.

The torque kicks in about 4000rpm.
Regarding mojo before buying duke I did a test ride and the problem is in city it can be a problem as its heavy.its actuay pretty heavy.
Also the fuelling is pretty snatchy till 4000 rpm.

                  Hehe thanks sir
Re is so cool when it comes to torque.imagine having the max torque at 4000 rpm where NS/AS or any other bike has at 7509 rpm.for re doesn't natter what gear u r in,twist the throttle and enjoy it
One of my friend nodded his re to an entirely new level.he spent 3.75 lakhs on mod.his tyres are equavalent to batMobile.

3.75 lacs to mod a bike worth half that amount ???? Now that's enthusiasm redefined... Would love to see a pic of it, if possible

there are lot of things to be checked like,
                        balance of the ride,
                        rattling sounds from body parts.
                        engine sound.
                        colour of the engine oil
                        all controls should be working
radiator fan should start upon engine heating
no weird sound from engine head, block, carb, airfilter.
i am unable to give examples of acceptable and non acceptable sounds here [emoji2]
                        no oil accumulation in exhaust.
price depends upon vehicle condition, number of kms clocked and number of owners.

I used to be a p220 owner earlier , so may be, I can judge the engine condition .
Are there any NS200 specific problems ?

Bike is used for 13k km ,1st owner ,no visible damages ,Karad Maharashtra passing ,09/2014 model ,eurogrip tyres with 20% life left ,

13k and 20% tyre life left that too of euro slip something is fishy [emoji52]
Euro slips are made of hard compound and it can easily last for 30k

cracked carb diaphragm, mixing up coolant with engine oil, since exhaust is placed too close to engine, one has to be very precise to differentiate exhaust sound and crank sound. these were some NS specific problems.
if kms are genuine anything close to 55k would be the ideal deal.

agreed. hence i also doubt odo reading or person who used to ride has used it till the last drop.
