You could wall up to the bajaj svc centre where this bike was serviced and see if the manager would be able to assist you.

You could do a thorough check of the externals of the bike plus check the service record of the bike. If the record shows that it was serviced regularly it could mean that the owner did invest time in maintaining his machine even though it was not being ridden much.

Yes, taking a trusted mechanic along would be a good idea since you, coming from the RE lineage, may not feel the vibes if any, plus other nuances as well. The color is awesome, its a pity Bajaj shut down this color and came up with some ridiculous decals on the newer versions.

As far as mounts go, you could use the crash guards for any aux lighting you may have mind. Plus, you could make up a custom cross bar from mirror mount to mirror mount for you mobile mount, usb charger, fog lamp switches etc.

Carrying stuff, i agree, is a pain and most of the time one has the tank available which leads to scratches on the tank unless one has a tank guard, not to mention its outright risky.

On second thought you could think about a slick pannier system albeit not the regular sized ones (sample 1200GS BMW). Have seen quite a few NS with this system on the net mostly from SE Asia and lends a pretty slick look if well done.

Bro you gotta think about this one ... IMO there was a gap of a year between the first free svc and the first paid with no intermediary services done so I am guessing it was pretty much unused during that time or whosoever was using in the absence of the owner did not bother. Also, in three years of ownership there have been a total of only 3 services ? hmmm I am having doubts on this one bro but again, I do not have the physical bike.

The above concerns may just be concerns based on pure numbers. The actual bike may be much better than the numbers. So I would say take a mechanic, give the bike a thorough inspection and then decide. If the engine has been affected by the years then the mechanic should be able to tell.

What do you think about this one kany1991 Ujjwal96 xplod566

Makes sense and kinda explains as to why the bike did not run however that was no excuse to not get the bike serviced in regular intervals per say

Take a test drive of the bike for at least 10 kms to understand the engine and if it's performing well to your ability then go for it if you think it's worth it.

Thanks. What are the things I should observe?
I come from the family of RE in which revving after 90kmph will give you shattering bones.

I know that NGK 4786 / LKAR8A-9 fit with central spark.
How about side sparks? Which is fits?

you are RE rider, so you wont be able to get if there is any extra vibration in this bike.

things to check in NS
1. start the bike, turn pilot lamps on and rev it till 8k mark and see if console backlight twinkles. if so, backlight is about to die soon.
2. keep it on for say 5 mins in the same place on 2k rpm and see if radiator fan turns on. it ideally should be.
3. while riding on 60kmph, engage top gear on flat road keep riding for a min. engine should not knock.
4. switch gears at 7 k rpm and you should be doing 95-100 kmph in 5th gear
5. shut throttle off on 5 k rpm in any gear keeping clutch disengaged, rpm should fall and speed should come down, this will ensure no cuts in diaphragm. as this bike was used less. diaphragm gets cut due to fuel accumulation.

if i remember anything more, i will post again.

warm wishes for your new purchase.
its good to see someone switching from RE to pulsars.

Hi guys, been busy with work and now I'm getting transferred to Bangalore from Chennai. After looking at the procedures of NOC and re-registration in Bangalore again seems too cumbersome and costs more. Any alternative?. Has anybody transferred from other state to B'glore earlier?, if so what is the procedure and how complex and exhausting it is?. Plus is it worth doing that or selling it here and getting new ones?, sadly NS is no more, plus my NS has 0 complaints....and I can't get the same from other used ones...

and I don't like RS or AS, plus I can't spend any money other higher capacity at this time. Any suggestion would be helpful, as time is running up and I have hardly 2 weeks left. Plus how longer can I run with NOC+police certificate in Bangalore before I do re-registration?.

Any help or hint would be advisable...!!!

I am pretty you don't hear that every time, only during nights and early morning probably.

I am having this issue right from start, whenever I accelerate it feels like engine is struggling and making metallic knocking sound.(mine is 1750kms in odo).
