Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Good info, spot on. The relay is required to save the switches from switching high current load. But i remember someone taking about using 90/100w successfully without any other changes. I know it's risky anytime... Anyway i will stick with my stock 55/60w.Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostNa, I don't use a 100/90W. I had posted a video of my setup a few pages before, other than those lights I have a Osram NB UL 60/55W.
Ya you are absolutely correct using a 100/90W is not a plug and play replacement. For using a 100/90W, the stock H4 holder needs to be changed to a Ceramic or a Nylon 66 made holder and a probably a heavy finolex wire with a 10A fuse and a relay for the load.
Now, a relay is necessary because the stock switch is made to withstand a 60W load only and it will get damaged on a 100W load, so a it just turns on the relay which in turn operates the bulb.
Coming to the reflector, I had read previously in this forum that people had tried a 100W bulb successfully with the stock reflector and had claimed, that it can surely support a 100W bulb.
But I think this all talk started with someone asking to use twin projectors on his AS. [emoji14]
So, that can be done for sure.
All this relay knowledge was gathered from my 1 year experience since I joined my father's businesses.

go with MRF Revz C, the duke tyres having profile of 150/60.Originally posted by GauravD View PostWhat profile tyres should i switch to for my NS if I wanna lower the height a tad without affecting ride quality... Help appreciated.
The Swing Arm will Support it. no Additional modifications required.
Ride Quality will definitely be better Than the sucky EuroslipssigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
No worries brother.always happy to helpOriginally posted by GauravD View PostGuys... Just got my NS tuned and thanks heavens i did. The CO reading of the bike was close 4.30 which was about almost three times the normal amount. Got it set at 1.5 and the bike is rollicking again with new set of spark plugs too. Got the old ones to keep as spares in case of any exigencies.
Thanks guys for suggesting the CO method especially xplod566. Btw if any NS owners in gurgaon wanna use the CO tuning method they can head to Krishna Bajaj on New Railway road in gurgaon near the post office. They are the only Bajaj delearship in Gurgaon to have that machine.
Thanks again guys. Now all I need to do is hope that it sets the issues right with mileage and other minor running issues.

As long as the battery amphere requirements meet, is fine. With 8ah, you can even for an 8ah 100w bulb. But going over more than 8ah bulb or using such device will burnt the wire and other components.... And battery dies too
In your case, You can connect without any problem, but whenever you go to idle/neutral make sure you turn off the headlamp.
This is true for all vehicles..... Because at idle rpms out even under 3k rpm, the battery doesn't charge at all.... For a battery to charge, there is a minimum constant current required. In such cases the battery will take days to get full charge and sometimes they never get full charged.....
Technically speaking the battery's capacity 8Ah doesn't mean that It can only supply upto 8Amps. Batteries are such that they'll always deliver the Amps demanded by the load. To put it simply
An 8Ah battery will supply 8Amps for 1 Hour
And 16Amps for Half hour
And 32 Amps for 15 Mins and so On. So if your load is consuming 4A only then 8Ah battery can supply the load for 2hours before it dies out. Considering the wattage 115W (55+60) and voltage 12, we get current requirement of 9.5Amps approx, which the battery can supply for less than an hour without dying but sure this huge current will burn out the wire.
We can use the same battery until we ensure that we are riding well above 3.5k RPM so that battery gets charged

Did the rear tail lamp lights up if the key is on the bike ( its not bright as park light and difficult to see at day time but good visibility on night ) . Because previously my bike lights up like this when i turn the key on but suddenly it dont lights up .
Now it lights only when park / headlamp is on or when brake is applied

A fellow xBhpian had posted this video a few months ago. Here you can see the varying voltage at different RPMs with a 100/90W Hella Rally Bulb.Vrooming Soul..!!

For that to calculate we need the ratings of alternator and the charging current at that RPM bro.... Without charging current value, the only option is by Trial and Error Method which is not feasibleOriginally posted by xplod566 View PostBut how long does it take for the bike to charge the battery entirely when its above 3.5k

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey, contrary to the popular belief, HIDs are majorly 35W i.e. even less than the stock NS headlamp.Originally posted by Ankitsingh007 View PostNeed help with HID setup ,because I was thinking of fitting one as stock light is just not enough.
Need tips n tricks before installing one.
Or should I just get a Philips Xtreme vision?
(PS : I know HID are always more power consuming )
It uses a magnetic ballast that increases the voltage to a higher level.
You can go for an HID setup, but please don't opt any chinese one as they would go kaput early and can even leave you stranded on a highway at night.
So, the branded ones available in the market are Philips HID conversion kit, Osram Sylvania Xenarc kit, Bosch HID kit and Hella (Not sure about Hella and Bosch's availability)Vrooming Soul..!!

Well if you are living in Delhi then you can go to Kashmiri Gate Automobiles market. Karol Bagh has a lot of chinese first copies of Philips. No can actually find a difference b/w the two except by barcode scanning or a very keen eye.Originally posted by Ankitsingh007 View PostAny idea for the genuine one in Delhi or Noida?

So, below are the genuine Philips authorised dealers
Chopra Automotive
City: Delhi Address: 130, Guru Nanak Market Kashmiri Gate - 110006
Phone: 91 11 23989800
Amba Sales Corporation
City: Delhi Address: 1/7, Nicholson Road Ganda Nala Bazar, Kashmiri Gate - 110006
Phone: 91 11 23967330,23972591
I also happen to live in Delhi and also wanted to buy the HIDs. These are only available as a pair of bulb and balast and on a bike we only need one. So I was thinking if you also want to buy one then we can meet and buy it and split the cost. PM me regarding the same.
