NS feels much more smooth now. Especially in 5th and 6th gear.

    Hey!
My saree guard came with allen bolts,so after removing the saree guard, those bolts are useless for the proper fitting of the chain guard.
Did you change your bolts to hex ones or you got them along with the bike when the saree guard was fitted?

Means it's time again to visit the SVC... I'm literally tired talking to them.. :/

One of my friend too had this doubt. Actually when saree guards removed, the bolts are very long for the slot. So, there from SVC they added some washers to the bolt.

Sorry for the low quality, its from my phone.

The Run-In period of your bike's engine is over.. No harm in testing top speed and riding at a faster pace now...

                Best bike.

U r very lucky tht ur dealer is replacing the tyre FOC. (Goooooooooo for it or loose d offer)

                1. The MRF zapper Q will be the best replacement becoz of d overall research done by me. When u go to the Tyre dealer just keep them side by side & click the pics & do post it Urgently. The tyre size closest is 140/70 rear , so let me know is it too fat or of the manageable size ???????.

                2. Get the central stand (if u want .......) ordered when u book d bike , I stay in delhi (takes long to be arranged.......).

                3. Do get d coolant top up done at d time of delievery.

Post d pics wid ur new beast & take 2 or 3 good pics of d rear tyre also.

                Happy buying.

                hi sudhir,

sorry couldn't read your post before purchasing the bike. btw i didn't change the stock tyres . i met bajaj mechanic (lucky ) at the showroom today, he said that bajaj chose eurogrips for long life and mileage and the bike to perform optimally for the tyres. if we change the rear tyre the performance may not be optimal. the showroom manager asked me to try the stock one's first and if i still don't like then i can change the tyres. he offered me a discount on 1000 bucks on the bike so that it can cover the cost difference of the another tyre. i accepted the offer .

asked for the center stand and the coolant topup. both were not available at present in the showroom as it was a newly opened one and they are expecting the stock in 15-20 days.

my observations in the first 50 km ride..

                1. the gears are smooth but when i change the gears i get a click sound is it normal ? i have driven only fazer before this bike, in it the gear shift is no noise affair.

                2. the acceleration is fine .. i am struggling to keep bike below 55

will post my review after getting some more kms under my belt with this beast.

                Ride safe fellow amigos

                  • hi sourav,

i read the complete manual today it says that "no warranty for painted parts. only blistering or peeling off of paint film are covered under warranty"

i think you can claim warranty on the paint film peeling off atleast.

and also "all chrome parts are prone to rust and corrosion. however chrome film peeling is covered under warranty in general atmospheric conditions(except coastal and acidic environment)". i think that the rear footpegs are chrome covered. so paint peeling off from there is also covered under warranty. please refer the pages 39 and 40 of the manual.

                      PSR da,
I know where you are coming from. My only gripe was that the ZMA was running a pillion and mine was solo. For a bike that rants about having a KTM based engine I found (my opinion - which I believe I am entitled to have) the power lacking. I am not a newbie to the bike world sir (having done 77500 kms on my pulsar150dtsi of 5 years - and that was my 4th bike) and have been following threads ever since the test mules were spotted. That being said I am not saying that the bike is crap. I love the bike as much as any Parsee guy does and I am generally a very sane rider. It was just a one off rush.....no offence!!

                      Yea bro!! Very much possible!!

If you were in a drag then you should've been concerned about the high-end torque because that's where you shift your gears and thats where you should've been riding. Correct me if Im wrong as you have been a part of drag races before.
But may be you were dragging when the wind current was against you and this could have helped the Karizma which has a bit fairing.
Bottom line: Many factors determine the outcome. Just a drag race and you're dissapointed!!?!...chuck your bike as you won't be satisfied with anything because there is always a BETTER waiting to impale the BEST.
Agree to whatever you said bro...just the last line I dont agree with....no way can a 12yr old design be BETTER than the BE(A)ST...not with a 20k difference...not with a liquid cooled engine....not with 6 gears... Please dont get me wrong....I am not unhappy with the bike...just that particular aspect was dissatisfying...

                          • I just had a chance to swap my bike with a duke today(just returned from the awesome ride).

I can say only one thing the DUKE doesn't need a horn. LOL

Now my NS feels more silent compared to that hooligan.
