There is no need to change the stock tyres if you are using you bike for daily commute ,I have been riding with stock tyres for more than 1K kms and feel they are adequate for daily use .

The 2 small lights are pilot lamps ,can be used in foggy weather or poor light .

And the horn it is not that bad Dude you can live with it

        1. Bajaj vs. KTM brand image and build quality/reliability. I had ridden a couple of older 1st and 2nd

        1. The quality. My dad owns an XCD 125 and I have ridden other Bajaj bikes, an Enfield Thunderbird, an RTR 160 and 180, a Karizma R, FZ and the Duke. While the KTM and Yamaha felt solidly put together and vibe free, I felt the RTRs and Bajajs to have serious issues with squeaking panels and creaking suspensions amongst other weird noises. On my 200ns however, I really was left wondering whether this really was a Bajaj product! It must be said, in terms of the overall solidly-put-together feeling, this bike is right up there with the best of them. I still feel there are too many panels and screws, as I feel that over time, the more parts you have, the more chances of them developing noises (hence my rooting for the Duke). But all in all, this is a great job by Bajaj, and I really respect them for the way this thing is put together.

        1. Downshifting. This is a very noisy affair on many occasions. Especially changing from 2nd to 1stthth

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I got my new 200NS last saturday. The bike veers to the left whenever I ride with hands off the handle bar. Has anyone noticed this on your bikes.
The manual says speed limit in 6th gear is 48 kmph for the first 1000 km. It's so maddening to ride in 6th at such a slow speed.
Bike swaying to left is due to the absence counterweight. Some NS's are coming with it. Mine had it. Some of my friends here, in Xbhp, doesn't have it... i think.... so take it it SVC.
And, you never look into speed meter.... look in to RPM meter. Keep it under 4K or 4.5K maximum upto first service. After that slowly raise RPM to 5K or 5.5K RPM max.

Thank you bro.. And ya, do post. It's always nice to see things in HD

Today an NS, owned by a guy in my college passed by me. AFAIK he is not following the run in and has started ripping his bike since day 1. He must surely have been in an rpm above 5, and the bike really did sound like a clumsy generator. Did not like the sound at all... :/

Give it to the service center and let them take care of things.

Will give tomorrow. Hope to get it back normal again. I am really worried if these service people will able to rectify the issue

This is Common to all NS, and it's not a Problem, But Rather a bad, irritatetive feature. Done to save the battery..
But yes, extremely problematic at night, especially if there are no street lights.

Then do what I have done. Find a good mechanic who has experience in the electricals of the bike and ask him to convert the bike to DC(it may sound odd since we know the bike is DC already, but those mechanics wont agree) by altering the wiring from the right hand side switch assembly so the light comes on even while the engine is off.

I have completed and had the following fixes done to my bike after second service:
                        1. bike vibes almost nullified, but the headlight console buzzing is yet to be rectified.
                        2. brake noise taken care of.
                        3. tappet noise rectified in first service and since then it feels more responsive and smooth.
                        4. Headlight mod as mentioned above.

IN the morning the NS says "I want to sleep" - cold sart problem.
From home till entering the highway "You woke me up just to ride like this - go in an autorikshaw and let me sleep" - engine feeling lazy below 4000 rpm.
from highway till office "vroooom vroooom" riding above 7000 rpm at speeds of 90-100.
reaching the office "I dont want to stop, please dont put me in that shed.".
Evening at 5:00 "at last free again"
                        vrooom vroooom
reaching home "I dont want to go home".

Thanks for the Suggestion boss... And Nice way to depict the mood Swings of ur NS

About headlight console buzz, well it was there in my DESTINY as well. and really it was dammn irritating.
During 1st service, i complained of ti, an the mechanic just tighten all the bolts, and passed it.
but the buzzing noise was still there, and thus, i wanted the senior mechanic to look into it. he opened up the fairing one by one to get to the root of the noise. At last he found that there was a Screw INSIDE the fairing which was loosely attached, and the origin of the noise.

he also showed me that the were two rubber tube cuttings, that were attached in a particular position by Someone ( he guess that i did it with some outside mechanic, but then after hearing my anger. he said it must be done by the PDI guy then) to dampen that noise, but was unsuccessful.

The SVC manager, has promised to change the fairing when the Stock comes in Kolkata.

No, it wont. Many of the mechanics at the ASC do not even know that headlight works only while engine running. And I had this mod by a bajaj mechanic(outside the ASC of course)
I also asked the same question at the ASC (after doing the mod), they said It is not a big deal as there was no additional load on the battery.
there will be only one wire that will be cut, one that of the headlight switch, which now will be connected to another wire that of the engine kill switch.
                                Just a simple mod.

If I have time I will post some pics this weekend.
