Automatic transmission????
you mean it shifts on it own...hows that possible?
I thought you changed your oil at ~100kms?
You sure that chik-chik sound isn't because of the tyre change or any mud in the discs?
Ha ha.. Bike'er obosta tight korediche!

Yep. (kind of meant - You've screwed your bike)Originally posted by surojit View PostThats a Bengali thing i guess....
Running-in as per BAL is 2000kms, so as per these standards its not complete. But if you want to feel like its completed then its upto youOriginally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostThe sound was from inside the gearbox, pretty much like the gears weren't getting slotted correctly. And I did press on the clutch while shifting. Same thing had happened once a month back from 3rd to 4th gear. I was worried but I eventually took it off my mind as I was more absorbed into how good the bike is! :P Anyway, this morning I got the clutch play adjusted and things are OK. The wheel doesn't spin when the clutch is held in gear. My vehicle's run 1628 kms and the run-in's completed. Gear shifts are still a little hard though.
I didn't really understand this point sir. Can you please elaborate?
As far as the sound from the gear box is concerned, it seems to be the sound of the gear dogs clashing (which has to be there to hange gears). But the abnormal sound could be either due to not pressing the clutch properly or some other problem unknown to me.
But again if its a soft sound then its normal but if its abnormally loud then try visiting the ASC.
I think what @Rahuldevnath meant was that in P220 you don't have to stand on the foot pegs to avoid the bumpy roads as against in 200NS.Last edited by myth2104; 10-17-2012, 03:27 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I havent heard about revz-s yet. Any other tyres if you can recommend. And How much it cost you for changing tyres. Are you getting the similar milage and what you did with the stock tyres.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Posti've loosened my rear brake completely to the maximum....how hard you brake it doesn't lock up easily... There is a screw behind the rear brake lever pedal which is situated quite low in a vertical position... Adjust that screw to make it loose... The brake light might not work after that, so you have to adjust another screw above and behind the lever to adjust it...
For guys who want a to know about tyres, i've already changed the tyres and done 100kms on them. Rear revz-s and front zapper fx... I would say i am just blown over with the grip...specially rear one...it sticks like glue with very hard cornering....(shibadip will know the place where i was fined yesterday...i took those first two corners at around 80-82 and the last sweeping left leading to the flyover i exited it at close to 95...) i was hell scared because my bike was going close to the divider so i just leaned it further and further to the limits but the tyre was literally gripping like a leech... Amazing... Btw revz-s looks much fatter that the stock... The only downside it i could feel the lower accelaration after changing both the tyres as if i am riding on hot asphalt...the tyre is gripping so much...its kind of overgripping... And someone posted about his access 125 which rotates its wheel when in neutral...all i can say is LOL.. First of all where the hell did you find neutral in it...? It have a variometric gearbox brother...there is no clutch...or rather i would say a centrifugal clutch i guess... You just twist the throttle and go... So you will see the rear wheel rotating whenever, wherever, however you twist the throttle.. In bikes you have gear and clutch... @all: today suddenly i am having a chik chik sound from front wheel...probably disc and caliper... And its extreamely extreamely extreamely loud...so loud that i can hear from inside the helmet and on lookers are turning and trying to find the source of the sound... And that tappet noise is bloody irritating...hate it... First time today my gearbox became an automatic gear....downshifts at will...and that gear lever getting free is annoying.....mileage now is 36-37... Odo around 485kms... Need to give for 1st service...badly need an oil change...

This is normal dude ,the bike seems rough when you take the helmet off ,I was likeOriginally posted by Jason GokaviHi fellow NS owners!
5. The engine is a gem, and I find that after riding hard with a heavy right hand and then riding slowly, the engine seems more refined and smoother (as if giving it a nice workout helps it settle well!). This is all well and good and I always ride with a helmet. However, on two occasions I took of the helmet as I came into my neighborhood and the bike immediately sounded a lot rougher (its the sort of engine noise where it almost sounds like there's fine sand running around the innards..I don't know how to describe it properly, but my friend's rtr also seemed to have that issue). Just wanted to ask you guys whether that is normal.. Cos the engine still revs freely and cleanly...its just those weird noises.. Also, after a fast riding session, the hot metal smell many talk about...I hope thats normal.. By the way, how does one know whether the cooling fan is running? I can't seem to discern whether it is or not.. No issues with overheating, but the hot engine smell can be really powerful at times, and the weather here is quite pleasant as winter is approaching.
Jason Gokavi.
when I noticed this the first time .Also the bike seems a little more rough when you have a heavy pillion .

Firstly, its better to change to a better tyre of the same size as the stock. But if you still want to go ahead with a fatter tyre, then keep this thing in mind that your performance in terms of acceleration and top speed will decrease with the thicker tyre. And sometimes a thicker tyre also hinders the flickability of the bike along with reducing your mileage.Originally posted by [email protected]Ok bro, but can u also give an answer to the question I asked ???????????
Secondly, yes MRF will give a warranty...but I don't think that practically you will require a warranty for a PSD or IRC because they won't cause any trouble for you. But I thought Pirelli has an official presence in India and should provide warranty. Please check this by calling on this no. +91-11-4412 8789. Its Pirelli's HO in India.

Well, ya I should have removed them. But The Problem is, now if i remove them, Then then it will leave behind a sticky black mark, on the area that it covered.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostLoved both the pics. Couldn't help noticing but I think it's alright to remove those tapes on the 'pulsar' logo!
I did it on day 1!
Any Idea how the mark can be removed??
ALL - I rode @myth's NS this evening, and Found that his saddle height is much more, compared to my bike (Both have same suspension settings). The height difference can be easily seen in both the Bikes, when kept parallel. Any Idea WHY??
Also his engine is much more free. While there is a lot of engine braking in my bike even after completing 500 kms, his bike runs quite smooth, even while the throttle is left out. The acceleration/pull is also quite linear.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
Only thing I can say - "The storm is coming"

If you have not yet removed it try using some oil before you peel it off .sigpic < --BENGALURU-- >

I too had a mark left by the micropore tape and I used some nail enamel remover (no it wasn't mine....twas mom's). I used it to remove a barcode type sticker on my fuel tank cap. Don't rub too hard or else you'll end up fading the paint. Just normal hand pressure.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostBhai log, Kyun mere taang kheech rahe ho??

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Guys last day my rear tyre slipped while breaking at the speed of 40 and bike fell down which i posted yesterday itself. But since morning i am noticing that wheels r not perfoming same. I am feeling a bit wobbling which another person might not be able to notice since i am riding it from the starting. I really dont know if it wheelout or what. N which tyre is causing it the front one or rear. What to do if it is wheelout? Do i need to change tyre or something else? I am really uncomfertable riding like this because this is a new bike and evryone wants his bike to be perfectly allright.. help pls i am quite illeterate in technical stuffs of bikes

bro you wanted a review of revz-s... I've fitted it and its a very positive thumbs up from my side... The character of the bike has changed... You can feel the difference from the word go... a bit lag in acceleration and 2-3kmpl drop in mileage. Latest mileage figure 35kmpl..@myth: my bike is not screwedOriginally posted by rahuldevnath View PostHa ha.. Bike'er obosta tight korediche!
