If you mean the rotating of the wheel in neutral as reported by other owners, then you should be happy that it ain't moving because its not meant to move on its own when throttled in neutral. The others had this thing (which was a glitch) but was too minor to be thought about. Even my rear wheel doesn't rotate when in neutral (although I don't have a center stand but there are ways to check ).
May be during your first service, it was rectified.

Sir, the run-in is 2000 kms I guess not 1000 kms. Anyways a single time rip to 130kmph is fine I guess. May be seniors can comment more on it....
Regarding the tyres, the major problem are : the air leaks very quickly in case of punture, happened once with me and have heard of multiple instances of the same behavior, and yes in wet corners its a bit unstable, rest all is good in it, and untill and unless you are going to push the bike to its limits (limits =! top speed in a arrow straight road) it should be fine.

Changing to stickier tyres is always suggested... it just makes exploiting the amazing chassis all so more approachable... but at the same the stock tyres, once properly broken in, are not bad either.
      +1 to it

Whether it is same with all the bikes?? Before NS,i used access 125 and the rear wheel used to rotate so i thought it is same for the geared motorcycle also. And just a thought from my side, please buy a extra rear brake pedal while touring as it is the part tend to get easily damaged when fallen towards the right hand side where the crash guard provides zero protection for it.

This is actually very normal with bikes with a wet clutch. The thicker, cooler oil clings to parts and the friction causes the clutch to drag. It generally happens when the oil is cool, this is called "inertial/clutch drag" (I guess). Its a wet type clutch and the viscosity of the oil moves it a bit and that loud clunk when you change gears is the momentum of spinning gear dogs crashing.

Don't know the reason for your access 125. But in NS, rear wheel spin, or no spin...its normal.

Almost everything has already been said about this bike, but the way its engine roars at 8k rpm and above is a sound to Savour. It's an absolute treat to drive. It doesn't whinge when you tug its throttle a bit too hard. Loves to be cornered and the handling is quite exceptional. Bravo Bajaj!!! Bravo!!!

I'm from mysore too. I own a blue NS since the past 1.5 months and she's run 1600 km. Btw, where did you buy your NS? Popular bajaj, Star Bajaj or the one near Vijaya Bank circle? I'm asking because I asked about the price of the center stand at my dealer - popular bajaj and the salesman quoted Rs. 1000/-. And were you offered an option of remote central locking on your bike on the date of delivery?

I don't know about the other bikes but I've seen something different. I was trying to lube the chain (I don't have a center stand and needed the help of another person to support the bike when the rear wheel is lifted off about the side stand). I slotted the gear into first and the wheel began rotating pretty fast (just as fast as being in gear) even with the clutch held firmly. I knew it was normal for the wheel to rotate a LITTLE in this condition but regardless of whether the clutch is depressed or not, the wheel spins quite fast in the air. Also, when I start the vehicle in gear, it moves a little forward though the clutch is fully pressed. Is this a problem? Or is it normal?

Oh and also, my brake lever is partially bent. A puny service guy at shell was trying to remove the engine oil by shaking the bike away to glory and dropped it to the right side. Got it straightened but it's a little harder finding the lever now.

To all, I have these little mods in mind. Can anyone tell me if it's worth all the trouble and money? And how much would each mod cost?

            1. Pirelli Sports Demon / MRF Revz-s / IRC Road winner 130/70 rear tyres at 5000 kms.
            2. LED indicators and white pilot lamps.
            3. Honda grippers (coz of all I've seen, I personally feel they are the best).
            4. Bigger sprocket, probably KTM Duke's?
            5. Remote Central locking / Keyless entry (provided by my dealer himself).
            6. KTM Rear footpeg supports.
            7. Louder / Better horn.

            • Hey guys.. are 1000kms enough run in for p200ns. My odo is on 900kms presently. Ac to the manual its 2000kms I guess but its way to high for a student like me who wants to ride it for 3 years and not like 8-9 yrs. I ripped the engine beyond 100kmph 2-3 times but generally I keep the speedo around 60kmph. Should I continue my run in till 2000kms or 1000 is fine... ??

Nope this ain't normal. Get it checked.

                  1. Tyre spinning when in neutral; and
                  2. Tyre spinning in gear with a dis-engaged clutch; are two different things.

                    Hello Sir,

I also dont want to keep the bike for 8-9 years, right now my idea is I should be able to do 1-1.5 lac kms with it without issues, hence i followed the 2000 km run-in method.
I suggest you be patient for some more time. Ride more and then the run-in will get over soon.

still stuck between Pulsar 200NS or the 220F ???

which is easier fr maneuvering on all roads ??

                          • if u are a speed junkie with lots of highway rides the 220F is a better option as it has a half fairing and performs well OFF road too
                            doesnt mean 200ns is behind
but the naked styling means lot of problems on high speed..the air drag will be significantly more

200ns is more of a street machine with a better acceleration and more power

overall 200ns is a better machine than 220f

the price difference between the two is hardly 5K

my suggestion would be get the NS

bro 220f is dead :P 200NS is king in everything except wind resistance above 120kmph, we dont see those speeds all the time do we? it would be foolish of you to take a 220 now, my friend regrets his decision because he was the more cc = better type :P , in every ride i leave him for dead now

Both the 220F and 200NS are very different in character. The Low-end torque of the 220F is just amazing and comes into play amazingly while off roading. The over all look and specially the head lamp of the 220F is simply a delight. Come to the NS, it's more stable, has a relaxed character, far better tech, more power and very subtle. The NS would fool you into being a very docile duck, but crack open throttle and go past 7k and a very different comes infront of you.. which is anything but docile. The additional rigidity of the twin spar frame coupled with the suspension setting gives the rider the best of both worlds, touring as well as sports and also while moving through bumper to bumper traffic.

So Leo, you just need to decide what kind of riding your would be doing majority time of the riding day.

                                My own thoughts - Throttle
