Hello guys, ive been off xbhp since a year, and now back to see lot of new faces and things going on.
Long story short,
I Need to change my tyres.
Conditions
. Value for money, can't spend a fortune on them.
. Must be good, better than eutoslips
I've seen people recommending MRF rev or something like that.
Please specify Full specs and name of tyre while suggesting.
Thank you

Pros:
1. Does it work?, Ooh, Yes it does work as the name suggests
2. Easy to fix it or remove it. Took ~10 secs to fix it, same to remove or change position
3. Does stick well and gives good feedback
4. Works as intended, able to apply the pressure from wrist to keep throttle in position

Cons:
1. Quality is okay-ish. I bought it for ~250 and okay. 400 and above seems too much
2. No logo or anything. Just a plain plastic which has some elastic character and retains it's position after stretching
3. Product availability is very less.

So, guys. It works just great as expected, but on one condition...!!

Yes, it is only as good as you take it on highways. Tried on city ride today while coming to my office. On half way, I had to remove it . It obstructs the hand a lot no matter which position you fix, extreme left or right or center. While riding in traffic, this is definitely not the one you would like to stick out of the throttle. Most of the traffic rides, I encountered a revved shift (that is keeping the throttle a bit up while applying clutch). This is most annoying thing

But tried on a highway about 6 km. According to my present fixed position, I was able to ride continuously at 70 kph with just the wrist held on that and my right fingers where flat over the throttle and brake lever. Now that is what one would love to have on highway

Final words, this thing will really help you on long rides and safer only. But on city rides, its a pain and might put you in trouble letting you to rev your engine hard.
All your experience - with or without gloves?

R15v2.0 rear tires are perfect fit for NS200. I think they are MRF Revz S. 130/70 R-17 and front is 100/80.

Yes, those tyres have proven to be very good combination but just a correction, front tyre is 90/80, MRF Zapper FY1.

If all the measurements (width/height-radius) are same as your stock tyres, then they have to look the same size..

Actually I was not aware of the tire profile for NS.. My bad.. Thought you guys knew it.. My comment was specifically on those R15 tyres..

Anyways now I checked and found that NS tyre profiles are -
Front - 100/80-17
Rear - 130/70-17

So you shouldn't go for the FY1 which is 90/80-17 as it will be downsize..

Hence I suggest -
Front - MRF Zapper FY2 (100/80-17 )
Rear - MRF Zapper S (130/70-17)

If the above is not possible.. My last bet is to upgrade to the Philips Extreme Vision Plus Bulb - Philips 12342XVPB1 H4 12V 60/55W X-treme Vision Plus Car Headlight Bulb: Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

But I'm not sure if that would be a big upgrade over the current setup. (1600 vs 2900 lumens)

Hey NeVi77e,

I had upgraded to osram night breaker 60/55 and I was impressed for a few days , but as I used to ride at night+rain showed it's blessings I was totally dissatisfied and similarly like you I was doubtful should I upgrade to 90/100 or no.
I had a thorough discussion wid krixna on whatsapp for all the pros and cons.
As he was using the same setup without any alterations (no relay ,no wire MOD but direct p&p) for few months.
I then successfully changed mine also to Philips rally and I must say it's like day even at night.
I mostly use the low beam and nly use high when someone across comes in high.

It's been 4 months and use it mostly for 1.5hrs a day and it has caused no stress to battery or any other fairing and or reflector.
**I hav no other electronic mods installed**

Later krixna had upgraded his system with the roots relay and he had suggested me also to do so as the output gets more intense and gives better response.

I had seen the Philips h4 100/90 relay (750rs locally)
It came along with the required gauge wire and ceramic holder. Just plug it to the switches and battery and you are done.but due to lack of time and seeing good response with existing setup I felt it is not required atm.

Mind you if u ride below 3.5k rpm the voltage at the battery terminals drop when using the bulb, hence suggest you to ride above the rpm range when using the rally.

You could check out the voltage you get when using in combo to ur existing horn relay.

The upgrade is totally worth it.
I Do not suggest upgrading to osram night breaker or Philips extreme vision as its marginally any better than existing.
I will put up few clicks when I get time.

Good. I have an LED projector which puts out 2200 lumens and when observed under dark or no light regions, it gives extreme brightness like in your picture, but also makes each and every single thing as small as nails or pins visible. But things start to go bad on roads with moderate traffic and especially opposite lane cars or bike. The white light scatters a lot and thus reducing the throw. The luminous is much better than stock, but the throw range is very less compared. To get a low/high beam on HID, either you need to have two HID setup or HID+Halogen both are costly and takes a toll. The only plus here is mine eats 8w on low beam which is almost 7-8 times less consumption compared to stock 60w and I have tried it to light more than 45 mins with engine turned off (isn't that amazing?) like in bullets and it just lit the whole area without draining the battery at all. As per my calculation, this setup should lit with engine off for hours without any harm. Finally that angel's eye makes the bike more sexy....

@NeVi77e For 90/100w scenarios, I hope you need to understand why need a relay(If you are aware, kindly forgive me but let this be helpful for others ). Relay is a mechanical device that relieves the switch from handling high current input to output section. To handle high currents, the switch (bike's pass switch/headlight turn on switch) should be built for that and most of the cases, it will be bulk and will make it a tough fit for switch gears. Then comes the big toll, the extra wiring will increase resistance and hence the power reaching to headlamps will be less always. Also lengthier wire = more resistance = heat generated = wire burns = chances of fire etc. A 100W bulb might eat up to 8-10A of current when compared to 60W which takes ~5A of current. Does the switch handle this double the amount of current flow?. Now to tackle this, they will use a relay to handle the high current switching, and let the switch operate at safe current levels, there by saving the costlier switch gears and other peripherals that connect. Now coming to the 100w bulb, no matter if the relay is added, still the load is a load and you can't relieve battery from that by this. A good relay + wiring setup will help conduct the high current better thereby reducing fire or burns on long run plus you get better output. Without relay, you'd have to pray always that nothing will get burnt and with relay you can relieve from that and your switches will also be fine. A small calc can help understand better.

NS battery = 12V x 8Ah = 96WAh. So you have a only ~ 90WAh battery power, but you have 100W bulb to burn?. Ideally at this rating, this capacity should or can drive you 100w headlamp for about ~40 mins(considering in engine off), now considering the wire resistance and efficiency, there can be +/-10-20% correction. Taking worst case, if you let the light lit for 30 minutes (say for example), you will drain the battery completely. But you also have other items that need power right?, not to mention the console + backlight, indicators, etc.. So Practically if you burn the 100w headlight with engine off, it will drain the entire battery in some minutes. With idle, it will drain in just a matter of few minutes, because during idling, the charging current will be very feeble from the alternator as the RPM output is also so less

Now ask again, can I fit 100w bulb with relay and is it required?. YES if you think your switches are important and you don't want any burns or fuses blowing. NO if you think you can handle that . Now is it good?, NO if you think you want to preserve battery for a longer run, lit for long time, etc. YES maybe if you use proper wiring and setups with other lights changing to LEDs, etc.

Another best advice or option is (In case if you don't hate the white light) to get a HID with 3000 and above lumens, and make your battery and electrical setup safer. HIDs are any day more powerful in throw and range compared to Halogen but still eats less power than Halogen. Only problem is to identify and get a proper color temperature bulb.

That was a good, informative post. What are the specs of the LED projector and bulb set up? I am using Osram Night Breaker for the past 3 years. Quite good. But now that I am doing nights, the commute to and from office are quite difficult, the Night Breaker is quite not enough. I contacted Philips about their line of Cityvision Moto bulbs specially for motorcycles. But they discontinued the entire line-up. They suggested X-tremeVision Plus as an alternative. I am not so keen on installing a bulb of higher wattage.

I have also noticed a dip in the engine rpm when I switch on the light when the engine is idling. Is that normal?
