1. 200NS is now History and you become unique by buying that

2. 200NS is more comfortable, (only a bit) better on pillion comfort and suspension (with D200 compared)
3. 200NS does look cute, but Duke 200 looks bold and mad, sometimes crazy
4. 200NS gets better mileage, but no point to talk if you are buying used bike
5. D200 gets a bit of more refined engine with detailed console plus engine guard and quality components. Money matters here
6. D200 is still available and 200NS is not, that's bad
7. Duke 200 sucks on long range cruising, 200NS is a bliss to cruise.
I'd advice you to pick D200 any day if long rides, poor ride quality and budget is not in your list. Also you have it still on production even today(this is important).
While both perform similar in performance and handling, Duke has a distinct character like a wild Tiger, where as NS is like a tamed Tiger (But both are beast
)I'd pick D200 for City only needs and 200NS for a mix of city and long trips.
Tip: Used NS can be bought for ~60-70K, while D200 can be for ~90-110K.

2. Proper maintenance or service
Stock air filters are good and are given, considering the bike's mileage and longevity. But custom or performance air filters increases the jetting (air) like a stream and hence make the fuel burn more efficiently, effectively and aggressively. See K&N filter in youtube. As a result you get the notorious exhaust sound and added performance. But whenever you change something in Air input ratio, the fuel also has to be adjusted. So the cheapest and safest way to tune AFR without messing with Carb is changing air filter. If it doesn't fit well, replace with stock.
But to get the proper output, AFR settings must also be adjusted as per the results, which not every svc guys do it well.
