It's like a tiger Vs lion. Performance differences isn't so huge and noticeable. What it makes look quicker is short gears and not the power, but you actually will be riding almost neck on neck. Ride a D390 and you won't say this

    1. 200NS is now History and you become unique by buying that
    2. 200NS is more comfortable, (only a bit) better on pillion comfort and suspension (with D200 compared)
    3. 200NS does look cute, but Duke 200 looks bold and mad, sometimes crazy
    4. 200NS gets better mileage, but no point to talk if you are buying used bike
    5. D200 gets a bit of more refined engine with detailed console plus engine guard and quality components. Money matters here
    6. D200 is still available and 200NS is not, that's bad
    7. Duke 200 sucks on long range cruising, 200NS is a bliss to cruise.

I'd advice you to pick D200 any day if long rides, poor ride quality and budget is not in your list. Also you have it still on production even today(this is important).
While both perform similar in performance and handling, Duke has a distinct character like a wild Tiger, where as NS is like a tamed Tiger (But both are beast )

I'd pick D200 for City only needs and 200NS for a mix of city and long trips.

Tip: Used NS can be bought for ~60-70K, while D200 can be for ~90-110K.

That's bad, I've had it once, but luckily I dropped it myself at least. No scratches, no bents, just the gear lever. I hope you have parked in side stand. Side stand is the best method to park. Center stand is for cleaning or parking in a narrow area.

    1. Good Engine Oil
    2. Proper maintenance or service

Stock air filters are good and are given, considering the bike's mileage and longevity. But custom or performance air filters increases the jetting (air) like a stream and hence make the fuel burn more efficiently, effectively and aggressively. See K&N filter in youtube. As a result you get the notorious exhaust sound and added performance. But whenever you change something in Air input ratio, the fuel also has to be adjusted. So the cheapest and safest way to tune AFR without messing with Carb is changing air filter. If it doesn't fit well, replace with stock.

But to get the proper output, AFR settings must also be adjusted as per the results, which not every svc guys do it well.

So how did you cure that bend lever thing?

It struck such a way that it wouldn't upshift. It was just about 2/3 weeks since I bought her. Frustrated so much. Also the LCD display had some dead pixels visible. It was so painful. Took it near to svc, they used a wrench to bring it back. Neither did I have one, nor I had courage to touch that. Though it was not a 100% fix, but it works as new. So no big deal. And the dot in the LCD disappeared after some months.

        2. Pillion seat. Same strapping as above and the result:
        3. Handle bar. The phone was strapped on the handle bar with the phone back side resting over the master cylinder cover of the front disc brake. result:
        4. While driving. I strapped the phone on petrol tank using the same method that you saw on video. I drove around 5 kms on paved, unpaved, worst speed breakers, best speed breakers, includes gradual acceleration, includes jack rabbit start and in spite of all these the results are: My theory of reduced max vibrations are because now the tires are in contact with the road and not the metal stand as in previous cases.

Don't see the graph rather see the values of the top. This is because I took screenshot after taking the phone of its position that would have disturbed it and added some time as well. As usual as in the video, all these observations were done on the bike put on main stand on the same spot where I recorded the video. The bike was started, idled for couple of seconds, revved gradually till 6k RPM and left back to idling rpm and switched off. The last one was bit different as it involved driving.
Ok, so today I tested using this app. Here are my results. I put my mobile on my mobile holder unit fixed on my RVM

        Idle @ ~1250 rpm : 1.3 - 1.8
        Hard revving in neutral upto 5k rpm : 3 - 4.2
        Riding under gear 1/2 @3-5k rpm - 4.2 - 5.5
        Riding @ 60 in gear 6 - 3.8-5.2
        Riding @ 80 in gear 6 - 4.5-5.5

Basically these values suffered a lot, sometimes hit even 6 or above when running over bad road surfaces or small potholes. However on smoother roads, I could see the reading always set within 5.5 and nothing more.

Have not tried with seats or other areas.

Do any of you have a power to speed and torque to speed performance graphs for Pulsar 200 NS?

I could see this in KTM 200's xBHP pages:

Don't know bro. Mine is 2014 December and yours is 2012. So expect a lot have changed meanwhile. But that's the way things evolve. But it's nowhere smoother as my Activa

I remember myself shared it sometime back, but lazy to check
Also one another NS guy shared it few months back, after tuning on a Dyno. You will find it on internet.

I could see few (multipart) videos explaining the internals of P200 NS engine. Unfortunately everything sounds Spanish (Greek and Latin I mean). Turning on the closed captions and choosing English helps a bit. I have just started to see the first video and I haven't hold my excitement and shared it. Try to watch the videos in bigger screen with max resolution helps.

En el canal favorito de los fanáticos de las motos, el motor Bajaj Rouser 200 NS como nadie te lo mostró.

Okay... Yesterday my bike just turned one so I decided to overhaul it a little bit.... so I thought that changing fuel tank badges will work.....I called the service centre and ask the price of one badge they said 600 bucks for a piece..... I was like whaaat??!!! So does it really costs that much????? And if not from where I can get it for a reasonable price?

Guys. Just a fair warning regarding Michelin Pilot street radials..
I replaced my stock for PSR front and rear... As like how everybody say, its pretty good in wet surface, but its not as good as they say in dry. I met with an accident as i tried to do cornering. The Tyre slipped and i ended up with aberrations in my thigh n hands which immobilized me for a week(it was that bad). From then on I'm little hesitant to do cornering. Even on normal braking the Tyre tends to slip on dry surface...

And about the bike.. Its 10 months old black Valentino & its awesome as like always.... you'll love it with reasons and without, once you start riding it...
I finished my 4th service. They changed my chain sprocket saying its worn off and it doesn't come under warranty. Changed to Motul fully synthetic oil....
Avg mileage of 35-38kmpl in city...

Dude as you were cornering you can't champlaint about these tyres, no manufacturer will tell you to hit a corner on the tyres which are made for street.

For simpler explanation the name of the tyre you were using is ''Michelin Pilot STREET'' not sports or something like that.

I hope u understand my point and next time be carefull

Sad to hear about the accident and goodluck with recovery.

Now we all know cornering at a certain lean angle will be ok and if you still want to push past a certain lean angle, things will get messy and were the tyres run-in properly. New tyres need 100-200 kms of run-in before they can be fully exploited.

Its something definitely related to you cocking up with the lean angle or hitting the corner at incorrect speed or various other conditions. Only tyres are not to be blamed here.

                              Get well soon, bro!!

                              Cheers,
