How much does the centre stand cost?
i am going to book my bike tommorow and the dealer quoted 1000 rupees
seemed a bit costly to me..
i thought it was just 700 or so
is it a special stand for the NS or any stand from any other bike fits in..??
Also i am a first time rider( ie. my first bike) are the tyres good enough...wont be speeding around much....and cornering like rossi(well not much but a little)Last edited by mayank.travadi; 10-15-2012, 10:03 PM.Pulsar 200NS parts list

I think you mean center stand, because side stand comes as stock. The price of the center stand should be around Rs.600. He's probably duping you by quoting 1k. For a new rider who won't be cornering like Rossi or Stoner, the tyres are more than enough.Originally posted by mayank.travadi View PostHow much does the side stand cost?

mine too had a similar problem.there is a brake light adjuster(screw type) made of plastic behind the right foot peg near the brake play adjuster.try adjusting itOriginally posted by rossyamaha46 View PostHey guys!
The brake light of my NS wont light up when I press the rear brakes...it only lights up when I press the front brake...
Any help would be wonderful!

Here you go buddyOriginally posted by mayank.travadi View Postwheel balancing weights?
never heard of it..can someone post a pic of it on the NS
Yah its on there my bike. And yeah it never sways to left or right when I leave my hands... with pillion too.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostIdeally speaking it shouldn't happen, the bike must be properly aligned, otherwise , it caused staring to the body, our body subconsciously corrects those slight alignment problem by giving more pressure at the handle bars, but it does makes the body more tired. Though mostly in the long run only.
I had the weights on my bike and that time it was perfect, i lost the front end bar weights and then slight alignemnt issues started popping up, nothing big, but still, its better to get it sorted.
@JK, is it there on your bike too ? I dint feel when i rode yours.
Cheers

Love my NS.
Yah, I have removed it. I do not think, its the cause of that. It is surely what Krish has said.Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostI think saree guard surely can be a suspect. Has anyone removed it?

Okey. Now what else can it be? Anyways it does not seem a huge problem for me. Can adjust. And there is an irritating sound, more like something rotating without enough lubrication. Engine oil level is perfect. and the sound comes only when the bike is running in gears. In neutral (rolling with engine off) there is no such noise. What can it be? Searched all over for parts in contact. Nothing looks suspicious. Will it be the discs? Both the discs have black marks on them. Btw I'm 300 kms on odo...Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostSaree guard is not the reason.
I've already removed the sareee guard , the rear mud guard , & the frond mud-guard extension...seems to me like a fork issue...or maybe a tight cable which pulls the bike to the left...
Plus , have a look at this : 375cc Pulsar confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj himself !!
http://bikeindia.in/news/industry-bu...-on-pulsar-375
And one interesting incident. Was riding through the city traffic around 8.00 today. Two guys on a hunk came near and shouted what is the cc? I told 200 and was just about pass them. Then they again shouted, even without exhaust aawaz itni kum?
375 :O 2013 is not too far...

Thread Approved and MergedOriginally posted by mayank.travadi View Posthello friends
i am buying a new bike(p200ns
) in a couple of days(or weeks) so i have a query about how to maintain my aging activa
it has clocked 49400kms till now
now that i am buying a new bike what type of service schedule for it should i follow
drain interval is 2.5-3k kms for mineral oil but i will ride that much in almopst a year so when shud i change the oil? when i complete the no. of kilometers or every 4-5 months?
since my daily riding is hardly 10kms i would complete only around 1.2k kms every 4 months on the new bike
after the free and paid service what type of service interval should i be following?
the second part of the question is a general query on why do vehicles offer lower FE as time passes...what are the factors and is there any way to regain the original FE after lets say 3-4 years of ownership...Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I broke my run in 120 kms earlier than I wanted to ie at 880 kms
. I touched 130 kmph speedo on a short curved road. Was scared like hell because of the curvature so i stopped at 130. The stability was awesome and vibes were not noticeable even at such high speed.
And yeah my bike also sways towards left but its hardly an issue for me. I just wanted to know that will the bike sway towards left while performing a wheelie or any other balancing stunt??
