Have been a silent follower of this thread for a long time now. My Phoenix has clocked 1.8K till now (2 Months of Ownership). Almost everything has already been said about this bike, but the way its engine roars at 8k rpm and above is a sound to Savour. It's an absolute treat to drive. It doesn't whinge when you tug its throttle a bit too hard. Loves to be cornered and the handling is quite exceptional. Bravo Bajaj!!! Bravo!!!

Hello P200NS owners and bikers!
I am a film maker and I wish to make a 40 second teaser film on the P200NS. I am ordering this mighty machine myself but the expected week long delivery is killing me. I want to film it at the earliest and the best. If any of the mighty P200NS owners are interested in the same, please pm me or facebook me. It would be great help and a fun ride.
PS: I stay at Colaba, Mumbai. So anyone near by would be more awesomer.

Thanks!
Cheers!

I too noticed this sound for the first time today. Earlier I thought may be tyres were rubbing against the mud flap, then thought the shock absorbers were making the sound...but it wasn't so. But I'm sure its from the first quarter of the bike.Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostOkey. Now what else can it be? Anyways it does not seem a huge problem for me. Can adjust. And there is an irritating sound, more like something rotating without enough lubrication. Engine oil level is perfect. and the sound comes only when the bike is running in gears. In neutral (rolling with engine off) there is no such noise. What can it be? Searched all over for parts in contact. Nothing looks suspicious. Will it be the discs? Both the discs have black marks on them. Btw I'm 300 kms on odo...
Will visit the SVC. Let me know if you find the solution or I'll if I get it first.

There is no need to use such huge fonts to convey your point mate!Originally posted by [email protected]I also want to get rid of the stock tyres on NS . I came across the following Tyre Size by MRF
Zapper Q 140/70 - 17 ( The Stock tyre size is 130/70- 17) . As far as my knowledge goes the width should be a added advantage & the height of tyre is same should not affect the sability of the bike , but please your feedback on this.
Also since the weight of the engine is on the rear tyre , should leave the front tyre & get rear changed ????? Please suggest.
MRF being a indian company will get the Warranty which a imported tyre (for eg PSD) won't.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Met with a small accident. Rear tyre got slipped on a bad road while breaking. I was at the speed 40-45. Got some Small wound with some scrathes on right knee and elbow. The beast got some scrathes on right side with right leg guard fully bent. Rear break panel got bend
Now going to bajaj service stn for reparing. Let see if i get new leg guard or not.
I have heard about 200 ns tyres not road friendly. Should i stick with the stock one or replace with mrf or something else. Any suggestions??

Dude how many km have you done on the NS. I'm saying this because the tyres take around 500 km to break in. Initially I had lots of slippages with the rear tyres... but things improved a lot as the tyres broke in properly.Originally posted by aniketpassion View PostMet with a small accident. Changing to stickier tyres is always suggested... it just makes exploiting the amazing chassis all so more approachable... but at the same the stock tyres, once properly broken in, are not bad either.

Regarding the tyres, I am close to covering 5000km with stock eurogrips.. This includes daily 4km on kuccha roads for the past 2 months!!
I have not felt the types underperforming in any way - with the exception of high speed cornering in the wet (80-90kmph +)
Skidding on bad roads/wet surfaces/gravel can happen to anyone on any tyres.
Today i had the rear tyre step out of line, when a bus pushed me onto sandy patch @ just 10kmph! Thankfully i had noticed the sand before and slowed down and could control the bike.
I would suggest that you get used to the bike and know her limits (not to mention wear safety gears all the time)
If majority of your driving is in the city and you are not going to be riding and cornering on the limit everyday, upgrading the tyres does not make any sense (in my opinion)
Note: i have not test driven the MRF/PSD so i cannot comment on how much improvement they bring to the handlingWe are so busy watching out for what\'s just ahead of us, that we don\'t take time to enjoy where we are ~ Bill Watterson

Its 1200km on the odo. Thanks for your feedback. I have not gone above the speed of 55kmph yet. Will drive more carefullyOriginally posted by csajal View PostDude how many km have you done on the NS. Thanks for the suggestions. Will keep in mind. Just came from bajaj service stn. They dint have any parts of ns in stock. So service guy just bent the leg guard in reverse n made it the way it was. He also did same to rear break pads with rod. But could not get it in a proper straight shape just a bit curvy it is now. I am thinking to paint the scrached area of leg guard and right handle corner with black oil paint just to hide the scratches.Originally posted by Red_Redemption View PostHi Aniket, sorry to hear about your accident.. After a long time posting in this thread.First service went smooth and was happy with it.Today got the center stand installed in my bike. And one thing i noticed is that when i twist the throttle the rear wheel should rotate but the same is not happening whether it is the same for all the NS???

Same here for me too... Yesterday my bike fell towards the right hand side and it didnt incur any scratches to the panel but the rear brake pedal got bent inside..... got it straightened with the rod as same as you.But not happy with the braking part.Last edited by pgaucha; 10-16-2012, 06:09 PM.

If its not rotating, then how are you riding your bike if it doesn't move forward?Originally posted by pgaucha View PostAfter a long time posting in this thread.First service went smooth and was happy with it.Today got the center stand installed in my bike. And one thing i noticed is that when i twist the throttle the rear wheel should rotate but the same is not happening whether it is the same for all the NS???
And no way is it same (and shouldn't be either) for any NS (or any other bike)

While the bike is in center stand and neutral, when i twist the throttle to check the free movement of rear wheel it doesn't rotate.....
