Well the mrp of the centre stand is Rs520/- including fitting. that was what I was charged here at VIJAYWADA.

I do not want to install HIDs or projectors as they would require electrical modifications. All i want to do is to change the stock halogen bulb to a brighter halogen bulb.
Will it be possible without any electrical modifications??
    Please advice!!
Philips xtreme vision h4 55/60 is what my ns is running now. the light is brighter and throw is longer. usual 110/90w bulbs require modifications near the socket to avoid melting the plastic parts.

The ns sounds strange because of the exhaust and because bajaj wanted to keep it quieter than the duke. most people make fun of it but all I hear is the sound of the wind

Yes you too did. And I'm sure no one here will be foolish enough to take a new engine to 8k rpm in the initial gears. And If someone does (other than during motomans :P),I consider it to be a terrible mistake.

How much did the philips bulb cost you and what is the colour of the light?? Is it normal like the stock bulb or the blueish kind??

          • Hi guys. I'm planning to book the 200NS shortly (might do it today). I contacted Khivraj Motors Banaswadi (Bangalore) and he said October batch bike is ready. He will get the November batch on 15th Nov. I need your opinion on whether there is significant improvement in bikes (more issues resolved) every month? Just thinking if its worth waiting till 15th Nov.

Friends i have made a checklist (obviously picked it from xbhp posts)
              1. Check complete bike for scratches.
              2. check horn and other electrical parts.
              3. Check engine oil and coolant levels (where can we check engine oil level ? I see a green color indicator for coolant. is there a similar indicator for engine oil level?? )
              4. Check tool kit and first aid kit.
              5. Verify documents.

Please add to this list seniors..

Babying your bike around will turn out to be more harmful. So the bike should be taken to higher rpms (personal opinion) but at higher gears. You kind of need to train your engine like a kid to run at all possible rpms and gears otherwise at the end of your run-in you won't have enough power to actually rip it. But this should be occasional and not a regular habit.

take the bike with the permanent no.
dont fall in hassles of getting a temporary no. and then a permanent no.
so that when u get the bike...u directly have to go for first service and nothing else..

@others...are there any counter balancing weights on read rims..

and are they on only one side or both sides of the rims?

did u get your issues mentioned in the job card?
why did u take the delivery of the bike from the SVC even if the issues hadnt been fixed?

I did mention. For the first few kms everything was good. After that the gear shifts went to the old condition (rough with false neutrals), disks squeak, the tank is vibrating more, over all the bike is damn rough. Feels like an rtr. And they lubed my chain with used engine oil, which is splattered all over my engine and alloys.
