Yes I flew.. just like a stunt would seem lol. only this time it was surprise jump & I landed quite a distance away. perhaps because my speed was like 80+.. that's why the wheels took severe damage. The 1st pic shows the rear wheel.. it's torn

Guys my bike is now at the SVC & both Rims will be replaced, axles, axle Valve ?, also the Tires if they find it damaged from inside. Yes I have claimed insurance. Did all the paper work & the surveyor is a goddamn idiot. He has given the Rims etc a green light - meaning insurance will take care of it (also the tires if they find it damaged from inside). But there is one condition... before they put in new rims, The insurance guy.. the surveyor wants the old damaged rims to be "broken". which I'm ok with cause damaged rims are of no use (I could resell if I was paying for it, not insurance).. but the effin idiot wants them broken while the entire wheel thing is attached to the bike itself.. so when it is broken & garbage... he can just take a picture of it.
SVC guy & that surveyor say this is regular procedure & it does not harm any internals of the bike. wtf ? They do this with a 5-10 kilo hammer. mind u they don't break the entire rim, but only a support thingy highlighted in 2nd pic. So it becomes irreparable. I said a big NO. Break it once you've taken it off my bike. No hammering the wheel that's still attached to bike I said. Insurance guys do this to make sure nobody can salvage from it.. or resell i think.
My bike is in waiting line so it's said to be done tomorrow. I suspect they will chupke se hammer the rim & take their photo.. & later say we hammer only when the Rim was off the bike. I must watch it personally. upd later

For excessive highway touring I'd suggest a faired bike over a naked bike any day !!
On my recent bike ride I was kinda wishing for a faired bike...although the NS can do 130+ speeds , but I'd prefer to do 110+ on a faired bike instead...
And about your query regarding the Pulsar 375 : Mate Its not gonna launch any time soon...maybe in the end of 2013 or mid 2014...and I guess its gonna cost about 2-3 lacs...or maybe even more...
I'd suggest you to go for the CBR 250R if you are looking for a potent highway machine...you can easily do 140+ on that..

I always had doubt reg the strength of the wheel spokes,as they luk very thin....and these pics proves that they are not very strong....

Any useful tips for having a good beginning will be of lot of help to me.. or guidance to the post again will do.. (Place the order for the Central stand right away , not standard with the bike , as it takes a long time).

Also Im thinking of upgrading to better tyres straight away... please suggest me the best pair with budget no constraint... • Just enquired the price of the bike.. Its is approx 1.01 lacs on road in Bangalore...

The KTM Duke is 1.53 lacs.... A difference of 52K straight makes the case easy for the potential buyers....

The MRF website is outdated and has no tyres matching the bikes profile!!

Please advise on the tyres in this site...

No bro...People interested in Duke goes for it straight!!
Because it has some better features then NS200
                        1. Inverted Shocks
                        2. DOHC engine
                        3. FI
                        4. Better OEM rear Tyres
                        5. More better handling and braking
                        6. Power etc..

NS200 is the best bike in 1L apart from RTR ABS.
Has better pillion comfort compare to Duke!
Reaches the sweet point more nicley then Duke, Duke is like 2 stroke, jerks and berks are part of it with instant top speed, But in NS200 we see the increasing speed with feeling.
Good average compare to Duke(Still a controversial topic)

For some people following won't matter:
                        1. FI Vs Carb ..almost same performance.
                        2. Inverted shocks and normal traditional shocks....hardly we can make out the difference in ride quality!
                        3. If rear OEM tyres of NS are changed to some better then even it comes to good handling and braking.
                        4. difference of approx 1.5 hp..etc Vs 52k

In many scenario NS200 is more practical buy! But Duke is little ahead then NS200.

                              Hello everyone

I have been a user of P200NS for nearly 4 months now. Have clocked around 3.5k on the odo. I have learnt a lot of things about my bike thanks to this forum.

Recently, I wanted to get the centre-stand fitted to my bike mainly for doing regular chain maintenance. Probiking centre (auto service, banshankari) was charging 600 bucks including fitting but was out of stock. The showroom near my place told the cost to be 875. When I told him that MRP was 517 (which i came to know thanks to the thread), he reduced the price to 675. So, I asked him only for the centre stand and that I will get it fitted myself. He refused saying it was showroom's policy to give it with fitting and I can purchase the stand without fitting from the service centre. When I went there, it was out of stock. So I call up the showroom manager again telling him the situation and told him that I would be complaining to Bajaj customer care that he is overcharging for fitting. He asked me to wait and calls me back to inform that he is ready to fit it in 600. So, thanks to this thread, I prevented myself from being cheated by these Bajaj people. I hope it will help other NS users in bangalore and elsewhere who want to get the centre-stand.

Btw, surprisingly, I didn't come across the mention of Top1 engine oil (20W50) for 200NS. Its manufactured in US and imported here (Top1 Oil Products Company).
A guy suggested me to try it and trust me guys, it has made a huge difference to the ride quality. The price is also very reasonable. (MRP 285 for 1L but you can get it for around 250 in bargain). If anyone interested in bangalore, please contact Mr. Ashok (9379060591) as he handles karnataka region for Top1.

                              Regards
                              Deepak

Why don't you use it like temp solutions, put a lever, it gets fixed and bike stands, get your chain clean and remove it..Some where i feel stand alone looks more better than center stand!!
