Wind blast totally depends on wind speed and direction in which you are riding.. in direction of winds or against the direction of wind or cross winds.. So if the wind speed is high you'll feel wind blast while even riding at 60 kmph ..

Yep I've done 141 km/h and that too just after a fall. The bike was very stable indeed! I continued that speed for about a minute after which I had to slow down due to lack of road.

        • I'm changing my engine oil at 250kms. Is castrol 20w40 fine for it?

I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

          • Is there a way to reduce the tightness of the clutch??
I saw that the clutch cable is retracted by a spring, will changing this spring reduce the tightness of the clutch?? Because sometimes operating the clutch can really hurt..
And has anyone tried changing the clutch lever to something which is not so far away from the hands (don't know how else to explain it) the clutch lever of NS is really strange..
I wonder why bajaj designed it in such a way??

            • I have done 3000 kms as on date (Mumbai), in normal riding condition, economy ride between- 50 - 68 kmph, method, from top up to next top up, i get around 40 and 42, In riding conditions where you push it around hard, at times touching 90 - 100 frequently, the average drops to 35-38. Am planning to change the oil at next change to motul or mobil fully synthetic, costing around 700/- a litre, probably bike would be more smooth, and return bettwr average, i dont know how good the current bajaj- 10000 oil is , whats your experience..

NOPE.. you have to stick to 20W50 rating.. 20W40 will affect in the long run.. You can use 15W50 though..

Let me get clear about this.

The first letter 20 stands for the viscosity number of oil when the engine is cold.
The letter in between W stands for winter.
The third letter 50 stands for the viscosity number of oil at engine operating temperature.

Do not go below this figure of 50. An oil of 20w40 would be ineffective in providing proper lubrication to your engine at higher temperatures.

Riding a bike is an art - A thing that you do because you feel something inside...!!

only way is to bend the lever and make it closer to the grip... Take it to any lathe and they will do it... Another option is adjustable brake and clutch levers...costs 2.2k

3000 kms is early to switch to FS oil... I suggest wait for a another 3k kms then switch to FS.

Are you from India?? If yes, then please tell us also where is this stretch of 240 kms road where we can do 120kmph continuously. (just kidding)

wind blast is very subjective and depends on the wind conditions, but yes post 120 kmph you will feel it, and maintaining 120 kmph is as easy as eating a lollipop

It is very stable at 141kmph... have ridden at that speed for more than 2 mins... no issues at all with staility

*141 kmph is the speedo indicated speed.

arey yaar. Just had a terrible accident. I was going at 80-90kph & right in the middle of a highway my bike hit a goddamn 'stone'. yes a stone.. though as big as a hara nariyal. right in the "middle"... of a decent road (I go through it alot) During night it just looked like a polythene bag filled with air & I hardly had time to react.. What happened is the bike hit it so hard.... that uske dono rims hi mur gaye(slightly from the side of impact - Pics tomorrow). Infact rear rim is torn from outer side(will be replaced right ?). My bike actually jumped in the air when it hit & I landed few meters away i think. Didn't lose control of the bike thankfully.. otherwise would've been worse..
                            extremely depressed...

                              how much high speed?

200ns does 120 kph easily and is stable...after that it depends on ur skills and wind..

r15 will be better at higher speeds due to fairing
