It is currently there in almost all the bikes. Some bikes have little more and some almost negligible, it is not a problem unless the vehicle has some tendency of understeer or oversteer while taking a corner.Originally posted by Horror View Post

Hey Guys,
This is my first post in this forum.I am planning to book P200NS this week. This would be my first bike in my life.So I need some suggestions from you guys.
1.I will buy this bike in coimbatore(TN) and I will be taking this bike after the delivery of this bike to mysore(210kms) that too i have to climb a hill to reach out this place. My question is what are the things that needs to be taken care during this trip. Will it be good to the engine while riding over the hill in RUN IN period.
2.Do anyone knows the launch and delivery date of this bike in coimbatore?
3.My height is 5.9 and weight is just 52 only. Will this bike suits me?
4.Did i want to change the engine oil after riding 210Kms?
I don't have much experience in riding long distance. So guys do share your comments and tips for the same.

I have paid a total of 1,02,000... (2k was paid at the time of advance booking)...Originally posted by blackbeest View Post@anny @DDSouza - Bros, i think you people might have done the payment at Khivraj. What's the amount you paid ?
Just now i called Khivraj - Indiranagar, the lady told the price to be 105000.
I thought it will be max 1 lakh for whatever the reason be.
They informed me that the price would not cross 1,05,000 Rs... But they are not sure about it as yet... What ever is the difference amount + or -, they will settle it before delivery...
Bangalore is generally costlier than other cities... costlier than than the metros too... hence it will definitely be costlier than the rates mentioned in this thread earlier... Exactly how much costlier is yet to be known...____________________________________________

Rohan I hope you understand that you are just passing wrong information almost on all forums! How many Dukers have you personally met? How do you know all have problems? Do not give out information without proper proof and research. You are so confused that you definitely cannot be happy with any bike! I can show you hundreds of happy dukers who have faced no problems at all. I repeat without proper knowledge of what a bike is and how it is made don't keep prattling about something you do not know and ignorant about.

yes you are right ,, i am totally confused .. so confused that i may get to know my bike only after i brought it home ...i also spoke to farhan from ktm now and he too told that all the niggles are sorted out after the first batch itself .. anyways , i am allowed to buy only on 20th so i would get a clearer picture after test riding ns which is being launched on 12th ... actually everyone in my family want me to go for duke ..

I dont think you have the patience nor the experience to treat a bike the way it is supposed to be. Its better that you go wth a bike that has no issues and is proven by time. Also make sure It has a wider service network. By the way you have been posting You will be visiting the service center at a drop of a hat. Find a SVC which is a stone throw from your house! As I see it You can never satisfy yourself.
Mods Sorry for the OT but so much of repititions and allegations over a product that is a landmark is very irritating.

It is true that KTM duke has a bulk of problems and the quality isnt consistent. Few bikes are nearly flawless but there are quite a few that start troubling the owners very shortly after they buy. The Duke ownership thread makes it clear that it is not the most reliable bike to buy and you may end up having a defective/flawed piece if you buy it.
Pulsar 200NS, in my opinion scores over Duke.
If Duke had all its parts imported to India and assembled here, the quality would come out good (like that of the Ninja).

What is the ratio of number of Dukes and 200Ns sold , and what is the ratio of faulty dukes and 200Ns,do you have the figures ?
Sorry for going OT.
And Bangaloreans when can we expect TD for 200NS?
