top speed seems to be around 125 - 130 (speedo indicated). That's a disappointment for me as I ride 80% on highways. I expected 135 - 140. My humble 110cc/9bhp/Rs50k Twister reaches 110kmph. Since NS' figures are double that of Twister I expected a little more from NS. But not a deal breaker . I'm almost into it.
Please dont misinterpret it.... Its not the top speed of the bike Its the top speed that I have touched.

Infact the vehicle goes from smooth to smoother as you hit higher revs so this vibration at higher revs baffles me. Experienced the same the other day on faffy's bike.
Ok... got a call from the svc.. they say that the vibration padding/ gap between the metal tank and the plastic part was not adequate as well as the gaping/fitting of the front part was not as it should have been.. hence these much noises or vibrations... They claimed to have fixed it... waiting to test the bike now...

    Hi friends,

Well, its a good news for me and I believe for all the owners and perspective owners. My NS first mileage figures. When I got the bike, the ODO showed 13.9 km of running. I got a tank full (Extra Premium) and then yesterday at 577 km of running, I got the tank full again.
    So, Average = (577-13.9/11.38)= 49.48 km / ltr.

So, I guess its a good number which I got in return.
Thats a superb figure mate, but I think it should be able to give 40-45 kmpl in normal conditions under sane riding post run-in.

@Suro and others : I got my Centre Stand fitted today and they said the bike moving on the left is due to fork setting and they have rectified it in 10 bikes. So all of you guys can try that out. They said the company setting was hard and needed to be adjusted. They did setting on my bike but i did not try riding my bike without hands on it as it was raining here.
No Chupa rustam wustam yaar... Sab kuch toh bata diya...

and thanks for the info on the fork settings, but I guess the mechanica have tried that also, still will tell them to check it again.

            Hi All,

I am Rohit from Bangalore. I have been following this thread for quite some time and i must say that there are some really good reviews of the bike in this forum.

I drive a Pulsar 150 cc dtsi 2004 model which has grown old now after doing 80,000 kms so finally decided to change the bike.

It is true that many of us who drive the Pulsars get attached to the bike and i am one of them.

I did a test drive of the bike at Khivraj Bajaj at Kasturba Road Bangalore and booked the bike immediately. Upon enquiring, the service personnel told me that more than 100 bikes have been booked already and has given a waiting period of 20 days

So now i am one of those who are going through the excruciating wait

But the plus point is that i get to spend some quality time with my old bike and would like to take it to Nandi Hills and other nearby places till the time i get my new bike

One more thing, i am really confused on which colour to choose... I currently drive a black bike and believe that black will never fade. But Yellow was truly eye catching!! My only concern is that the yellow colour may fade away after some time... What do you guys think?

            Regards,
            Rohit
Colour is really subjective.. I was all for yellow till i saw it in person.. Now i am all for the red.. IMO black is too dull and does not suit the 200

Getting straight to my query. I would be highly appreciative if any one of the moderators could answer this.

InshaAllah, i'm expecting the bike in a weekish period. I have test ridden the bike. I absolutely LOVED it. It was extremely different to see how a bajaj ka bike had such mind blowing brakes. Then again, my brother and I, both after the test drive felt one problem. The dreaded euro grip.

So both of us decided to go and enquire at all local dealerships in chennai. On enquiring this is what we found.

Pirelli sport demon, 130/70-rear --- available.
Pirelli sport demon, 100/80-front--- not available.

I tried talking to pirelli india but couldn't get a satisfactory response as there are no official dealers in chennai. Now my questions.

                1. I'm ready to pay for pirelli. But it doesn't have a warranty. when i asked the dealer he said, "mrf aur pirellie key beech mey zameen aasmaan ka farakh hai". should i be bothered about it?

                2.MOST IMPORTANT QUERY
For the front tyre, Pirelli has a 100/80 size as indicated by the website. but it isn't available in any dealer in chennai. They all claim to have 110/70/80 size tyres, READY for fitting. So, will the rear 130 and front 110 give me ANY PROBLEMS at all, in the event that i'm going for the 110 in the front? Also, 110/70 or 110/80?

                3. If i'm not mistaken(not completely sure), there is a 100/80 available in chennai but its a 'continental' tyre. Rear Pirelli, Front some other brand. Is it the start of a big mistake i'm going to commit?

I want to go for my pirelli pair. Upgrading from my long standing love, the 1999 Kinetic Honda,(mom's actually) i'd like my bike to be OMG.
So will the 110 front cause any problems?

I'm sorry if this was to be posted on a thread about tyres but I REALLY NEED AN ANSWER ASAP before i get my bike delivered. Hope the mods understand the urgency.

A reply asap would be MUCH appreciated.

                Thanks!

                  • while going home saw a black 200ns outside popular bajaj bsk 3rd stage blore immediately took a u turn and brought my friend to check out the bike.we examined at the black one for 15min and it looks awesome and bulky
1)the tyre hugger is super solid wont even move even if we try to
2)rear foot peg was quite weak as others mentioned
3)dont know if anyone have noticed the fuel knob it was completely loose, would move in and out as if it was not fited to anything and it may create noise while ripping(some guys complaining wierd noise from the front do check this once)
4)starter made wierd katarrr...katarrr noise each and everytime
5)is it just me or the p220 has more sportier posture then 200ns?
6)the front mudguard is huge and the tank scoops are bigger then p220 or zma's quarter fairing
7)the tank is situated very much higher then other bike(can easily rest ur belly on that)
8)sad part was i only able to ride it for 1 nd 1/2km(in that 1/2km with the engine on and then the TD guy pushed the bike from the back while i was sitting and the rest another TD p135 pushed the black 200ns to the showroom)this was my 1st TD and this $#** happened
well IMHO its not unicorn smooth but more like zma, exhaust note is no were near to old pulsars
acceleration:didnt has the p220's pull while reving(went till 7k rpm just for few seconds) but one awesome thing i noticed was i encountered a speed breaker while climbing a steep i was in 2nd gear and didnt downshift but just twisted the trottle and the bike climbed it superbly were as p220 needed to downshift to get that pull
7)yes the black looks bit dull due to the mat finished fiber parts while the yellow was a crowd puller
lol p220 which was pitted next to yellow ns was looking like a commuter bike

                      • Need help guys....

                        Hi guys,
Today i found that there is pollution / smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe from my NS. I noticed it after i had rode around 20 km at strech. At that time the radiator fan was working too.

I had captured the video of the same. Its clearly visible from my end, but when i uploaded the video, it was compressed and the smoke is not visible which was coming out from the pipe. But, still i'm posting the link.

                        Pulsar 200 NS - YouTube

Should i be worried ? Because i didn't rode it at high speeds. It was between 50 to 55 only. But still, why was the smoke coming out from the pipe. It was exactly coming out from the cabinet made below the engine. Its the black pipe. You can mostly recognize it from the video. What should i do. Please suggest...

                              • @ashwini- it's not smoke, it's steam as the pipe gets hot and when a little water comes in contact. it happens all the time in rainy season.. same on any bike.. just observe again..
