So, anyone who is actually looking forward to carry somebody for a majority of time as single sided pillion, please look for a scooter or at least a commuter oriented bike. Please do not take it as an offence, it's just a sincere concern and a fact.
Hello rahul you are asking people to buy a commuter bike just because they want to carry a pillion who is a traditional Indian women (mom/sis/wife etc) isn’t that insane?

And more over people buy Bajaj bikes mainly because Bajaj customizes its bikes to suit the Indian audience and Indian environment (I was an MBA student and did a project on two wheeler buying behaviour).
And boss 200ns is no way an Indian Ducati. As for me and many others they would go for Yamaha/Honda/Duke if they are looking out for a complete racing machine as we know they are pioneers in making racing bikes and not Bajaj for sure (with 200ns engine 70% similar to Duke).
For me 200ns is a complete VFM with sheer power for daily use and occasional outbursts (we know Indian roads)
And thanks for your concern about carrying a single sided pillion I have been doing this since 10years and I know how careful I should be when I am carrying them

So what are you going to do, note down the chassis number of all the test ride bikes in the city and compare them with your bike before purchase?
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

After reading many of your posts, i am afraid if these test drive vehicles are also sold out to some unlucky customers
02719# is the VIN no of Khivraj Indiranagar its 200 ns in Blue color.
I don't have any tensions on getting test ride vehicle because am going for yellow color, yellow colors are not kept for test rides in this showroom.

Also inform the showroom guys to show your bike before registration they will call you once your bike is ready.

For Bangalore guys before 26th bikes will be there in respective houses finally after waiting for a long period ...

Guys would go for test drives around the city.. so.. put them up here.. so.. search according to your city and dealer.. I know.. it is not a fool proof solution.. but to add to a little peace of mind..!!

            • Make a google spreadsheet.

Keep adding VIN details of TR bikes to that spreadsheet. Easier reference for any new buyer.

No one is saying that Pulsar 200NS is Indian Ducati, what we are saying is that the genre and class of motorcycles the Pulsar 200NS belongs to, it does not deserve a saaree guard with single sided foot stand as we have in many other motorcycles, which are "generally" used for daily commutes. Every motorcycle has a different purpose, target customer and usage by design and what the Pulsar 200NS offers by design suits it's character. If someone has a special need for a particular type of riding pattern then retrofiting mods are always there (something for example what stunters do, a lot of retrofitted mods for stunting like crash guards, bars and grips) The example of Ducati and Bruatle was to highlight genere of motorcycles the Pulsar 200NS belongs. Rest, it's the owner's steed after all, the owner is always free to add to the motorcycle what is felt right.

Moreover Rahul humbly said not to get offended, he was just putting forward a point, so I hope you didn't get offended by his comment

And if at all it troubles you, i guess its just some nut bolt to tighten ... Which can be done as i have not seen vibes till 5 k rpm on my machine...

I was thinking of this too...
The best thing would be if @chintan can put it in his first post in the thread. He can list the issues as reported by the owners/test riders and he can also put links to the reviews posted by people in this thread.
SO everything stays in the first page only, easy to locate.

But it would be too much to ask from him, so request someone who is in college to do this work and PM/mail it to him so that he can put it up.

                        • Hi Vinay, here in karturba road too the test drives are offered on a blue coloured bike. I did see the registration number on it but dont know if it was a temporary registration number or a permanent one.

26th of July you say! If i can get it by that day, i will be very happy because the showroom people have said that it will take 20 days for delivery (Starting from 16th)

Which color you are opting for ? & tell them you wanna see the bike before registering they will arrange for the same then note down the chassis no also at the same time check the tyres it should contain green & red marker on tyres & in most part off the bike will be covered with a plastic cover say like indicators, visor, headlamp, speedometer console, sareegaurd & by seeing the bike in flesh you will be able to make out the difference between used & unused parts.
