Its better you focus on DUKE which you are planning to buy.. Un-necessarily you are spoiling the mood of people on this thread... if you are actually buying any bike.. please focus on that specific thread.. that would be more helpful for you and us.. thanks
this is an open forum and everybody can post their opinion....and if he buying duke doesn't mean that he cant test ride other bikes... if you have something against him better avoid the post and take it to PM. In this case the post you are against is more informative than yours... He is trying to help potential owners... Dont take it personally bro...

    • IMO,its other than black

Black wont actually do the justice in showing off the muscles of NS,you miss the lot of details.

      and then looks are subjective,

      • Very very nicely said.
Well i personally am very fond of the RED one.
But blue looks superb under sunlight, and as from ur pictures , u can see that the Yellow stands out from the others.!!
Black is a sure NO NO for me.

        Me too Really confused

          3:40 pm:

It was getting late in the office.. “Don’t think about it.. Just finish up your work.. no point worrying.. you won’t reach the showroom earlier than your bus reaching there..” Reiterating this I immersed myself in the mundane activities of the office, trying to find atleast a sliver of interest that would engage me till 5:00, but alas, to no avail.. The comments on xbhp still keep pouring in.. and I haven’t even had a glance of this ethereal beauty, felt a tinge of disappointment through my veins, but consolation was at bay, today’s the day I will feast my eyes upon her..

          5:00 pm:

Bus starts, just one hour until I see my beauty, connect my earphones… pour metallica, led zeppelin, ACDC into my ears and feel the rush getting heavier and heavier…

          5:45 pm:

Suddenly, I am brought into the real world by sweaty and sticky heat of Chennai… “Long traffic jam boss.. Problem at port, bus will take a detour.. Will take longer time”, Colleague says.. My dreams are crushed.. “ Don’t worry, dude.. you will still reach there by 6:30” he says, almost empathizing with my agony.. No point worrying.. I again transport myself into classic rock..

          6:30 pm:

The bus is still far away from my place.. Will take half an hour more.. The dream of seeing my beauty keeps getting more blurry as time passes by.. I try to console myself, “ fikar mat kar, kal dekhlenge” but in vain..

          7 pm:

Bus reaches home.. I have resigned myself to see a flurry of more comments on this forum, Rohan200NS complaining about the bike, others complaining about Rohan200NS, service comments, first views, and not one of them mine.. Just then, the phone rings, “ Saar, you towld you will come to see the bike saar, but dint come wonly.. We are open till 7:30 saar pleease come faast”, sweetest words I have ever heard in the Chennai dialect. I grab my 7 year old victor.. Drive out to the showroom.. Get down, and see the yellow 200 at a distance.. My life is happy, I see the 220 and 135 parked next to it.. like puppies near a great Dane.. Inadvertently I go sit on the bike, the feel, the view the comfort, the majestic look, all these were the answers to my unspoken doubts.. Realized what it means to be one with the bike.. Seeing my enthusiasm, the showroom lady says, “ Sir, this is only show colours, all other colours are below in the godown”. I follow her down the alley.. and I see.. 200 to the left.. 200 to the right.. I go mad.. and in the corner.. like two timid and shy damsels stand a black and red pulsar.. I sit on both in turns.. feel them.. feel the rush flowing through my veins.. feel the sense of maturity settling upon me.. Now I understand how Jake Sully felt after choosing his Ikran for the first time in Avatar.. I start the engine, “ Sorry sir, no petrol!!!”, with respect I switch it off.. I come out of the showroom.. I have gained a new type of maturity.. I have grown.. I am not a child anymore..

And since then, I have been facing this quandary that hasn’t left me.. which color? Black or red? Need suggestions.. please help..

                • While colour is a matter of personal choice, I would say any colour but not black in NS. The black colour doesnt elaborate the looks of NS properly. It kind of hides its edges and shape. the red-black, blue-black or even a yellow-black looks so much better and makes the bike too prominent.

This is my first post in xbhp. I’m following this thread from day one.
Hearty congratulations to all 200 NS owners and all the best for those who are waiting for it.
I’m waiting for this bike from Jan, in between I thought of Apache new model but didn’t liked the new design. Liked 200 NS very much… my mind and heart says go for it even before seeing it in flesh and even though I’m not a fan of Bajaj or Pulsar.
Finally today I saw the 200 NS in the show room… bumblebee… awesome it was, the reason why I waited all this time without booking it was I worried about the height.
I have doubt in mind whether it will be suitable for my height (171 cm 5.7”) or not. But Peyang and some others post gave me some confidence that even a 5.6” guy can manage it.
But today I felt bad of myself.. I’m very disappointed, only my toes touching the ground.. I don’t think I can handle it in traffic or so…. I’m completely blank …….. I can’t think about another bike other then NS…………
Hope This Picture helps you solve your dilemma...

If you are confident about managing the bike.. I don`t see why you should worry about buying the bike.. Lean on to one side.. and put your entire foot down in traffic.. That shouldn`t be a problem.. I guess..!!!

                        • Test Drive Experience

I had done a test drive on Tuesday at Khivraj Bajaj, Kasturba Road Bangalore. I had noticed that the speedometer and RPM meter were not working and remained at 0 all through... When i enquired with the test drive guy, he told me that its a Test Drive vehicle only. Hence the meters do not work

After reading many of your posts, i am afraid if these test drive vehicles are also sold out to some unlucky customers

Even if they enable the speedometer/odometer on the test ride vehicles, they can always reset them before selling the test ride bikes to customers. What do you think happens to all the test ride bikes? Of course they are sold to customers.
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
