You don't actually need to use full clutch, just downshift normally while simultaneously giving the engine a little rev..

    .
This is in reference to the part in bold above. Those aint false neutrals man, that's just the gearbox slotting into the actual neutral. This was happening to me too, the cure is to use a lil more pressure while shifting from 1st to 2nd.
The gearshift lever getting loose while downshifting was happening to me too, now I consciously use adequate pressure while shifting and I havent experienced this problem again either.

Those white lines along the wheels were part of the package from Bajaj or did you get that done? Paltry question but I was wondering, so asked.
Thanks man! Black is a little too discreet. Bajaj paint quality has really improved, and the blue has a deep and glittery paint job! You'll love it..

The rim stripes were done by me at a stickering shop for Rs. 200/- I've always loved the way it changes the bike's looks!

Dude even if it is getting into actual neutral, the neutral LED should glow right.....but it doesnt when the bike actually is in neutral....it does surely is an issue. Applying lil more force i have tried but then also once a while i get it.
And i din't get your sol for the lever getting free issue. Can u elaborate more?

Yes, the neutral indicator should glow, but I haven't looked at the light when it happened to me.

About the downshifting issue, I've noticed that the NS gearshift has a spring-back kind of action. What I mean is, whenever you shift a gear it clicks in and then the lever bounces back a bit. So shift with enough pressure and change to the next gear only once you've felt the return feedback from the shifter. Do this consecutively for a 6-5-4 kinda downshift.

          • Hi all

Till now I have completed 180 KM. Yesterday did around 90 km within 4k Rpm, overall bike is awesome but have some issues

I have removed the saree guard not needed for me.
Bought IND number plates for front & rear looks good.
Planning to remove rear mud guard as this doesn't protect well & making much more dirt & planning to modify the rear number plate holder to prevent the tail lamps getting dirt.

            1) I think mileage is decent ( dint test it with standards)
            2) while downshifting from 6-5-4-3 gears doesn't engage properly
            3) Rear shock absorber making some noise
            4) yes tool kit makes noise
            5) Handling & cornering is superb.
            6) Powerful engine & brakes too
            7) Below the engine gets more dirt cleaning is required often.
            8) while driving in city limits engine gets heated up soon, Yesterday after doing a long drive it was normal, can some times feel the hotness coming out from the front part might be the fan is running that time.
            9) Silencer got hit by the speed breaker, I was almost in the 0 speed ( so be careful for the next time)

These are the points I have noted in 5 days
Honey bee came & sat on my Bumble Bee while driving

LED doesnt glow ,i am sure , u can also check next time....

Ok i got it...but while this 6-5-4 downshifting u have pulled the clutch constinuosly right(like how u downshift in case of emergency braking, continuosly)? Or u let the next lower gear click in and then downshift to next lower one(if this then its not the scenario which i mentioned)?

It's like comparing Chalk and Cheese. 150CC Vs 200, 23.5 Ps bike? If you are not really bothered about performance, then look for a 150CC bike. Post your query in "What Bike section". This is the wrong thread.

Yes, it's not exacly flase neutral, but sometimes bike is stuck gearless. Also, sometime while shifting, the gears refuses to shift, it's just stuck in the previous gear till the time I blip the throtle and leave the clutch and then again depress it!

Does anybody else has this issue?

It all depends on what purpose you want it for bro.. For Commuting, I would recommend CB Unicorn.. Especially if you use it with a pillion often..!!

If you are one of those who wouldn`t crib about mileage, and just Looove bikes.. and can afford maintainability.. love cornering, need a power spitting bike.. which is balanced and polished.. then P200NS is your go!!

I would suggest you to post this in What Bike? to get better replies!

Thanks man, glad you're enjoying your ride! I haven't faced the issue you're talking about, I think I'm hearing some sounds from the chain. I think it needs some lubing.

Don't worry about the sound from the brakes, the pad need to bed in properly, and till that happens you'll experience weird scraping sounds. This might get louder if dirt gets trapped between the pads and disk too, so ensure you spray water here during your bike wash.[/QUOTE]

I will give my rear disc a thourough clean up and check out.
                          Appreciate the help.

I too have the exact problem while downshifting mate. I thought after changing oil during first service it'll get resolved or i should ask the svc to check it.

Yes, I'm talking about shifting continuously from 6-5-4 with the clutch pulled just once. I blip the throttle before I shift each gear tho.

Everything is costlier by a good margin in Bangalore man.. The cheapest I've found rim tapes is 150 bucks. Are you sure you can get the reflective type for 50-70 bucks?
