        • I have a car on my name.. and the dealer is telling me that 4/4.5% extra tax as this will be my second vehicle.. is it so ??

I though one bike and one car is allowed.. and additional tax will be there if its second bike or second car..

          please confirm this..

For those who do not produce ration card as address proof, the RTO registration will happen only if we put an affidavit and pay Flag Day donation. If i had got the bike from Trichy dealer then i do not need produce any affidavit + Flag day donation. Yes Jai bajaj, Adayar sales are good except for silly goof ups. They enjoy the benefit of being the main Dealer for Pulsar 200NS. They claimed that they are the ones supplying bikes from Bajaj for other dealers. Take me for example, my pre booking number was 54 and am going to get my bike tomorrow. Am actually getting it a bit late because of my choice of Blue color. Had i opted for yellow, then i would have been the very first of Pulsar 200NS owners in Chennai. ( Delivery started last Monday itself)
You are lucky being at 54th booking you are getting your vehicle...consider my case...mine is 4th booking done on Mar and these guys in Khivrajmount road still not able to provide even a TD, they didnt call me when the vehicles arrived at their showroom and finally they are not sure if my bumblebee will arrive this week or not but they want me to make payment before...howz that???? am really frustrated, my humble advice to other propable Chennai NSians.. pls. dont go to Khivraj Mount road.....my experience with Jai Auti was faaaaaaaaar better!!!

Don't bother about speed. Always look for RPM. Keep it under 4K in every gear. That's all. And don't rave so fast and avoid unwanted braking.

Do we need them. I guess, the cost of the tank panel will be slightly more than the pad itself!

I did it myself. The oil was Top 1 Oil 20W50 (cheapest I could get)

The risk is entirely yours. I'm following it... no problems till now!

BTW does anybody has problem with the gear shifts? From day 1 I need to exert more force while upshifitng. Basically for me, the gear pedal is set a bit high. I tried adjusting them but, it doesn't go much low, as then it starts hitting the lower beam of the toe shifter. Also there's only single point adjustment option for the gear pedal.

I did it with my 220, and now 200NS. But this doesn't mean that one should start ripping the bike right out of showroom. Basically what I follow is simple.

                                (1) Ride between 3K - 5K RPM
                                (2) Post 10Kms on ODO, give short bursts of acceleration till 8k RPM (once every 30kms or so) (and engine should hot enough, say at least 10 kms of riding before you give a burst)
                                (3) When giving short bursts, try to do it in all the gears.
                                (4) Change engine oil by 80-90kms on ODO.
                                (5) Post 150Kms on ODO start riding between 4K-5K RPM normally.

                                - Don't ride for long distance, and try to vary the speeds (medium traffic is best)

                                - While giving bursts don't sustain for a long time, say 10seconds is enough.

                                This is what i follow..
