History (Dealer - Jai bajaj, Adayar, Chennai)
Pre booking date: 26 June, 2012 ( 10000 rupees)
Remaining Amount: 20 July, 2012 (85,021 rupees) ( Went for half a test ride)
Remaining amount due to goof up in total price by dealer: 21 July, 2012 (4173 rupees) ( Full test ride day)
Remaining amount to be paid for center stand at time of delivery: 520 rupees.
Total Amount: 99,714 rupees which includes Affidavit and Flag day Charges.
Delivery date: Tomorrow Evening (30 July, 2012) or i can conveniently take the bike on Tuesday Morning too.

Am a Trichy native. A friend of mine has already bought the bike there for 96700 ( No affidavit + Flag day charges + Center Stand ). Seems like RTO tax is cheaper in Trichy compared to Chennai. ( 1000 rupees difference)

I have noticed on road price difference between (kln & Khivraj) 97914 and Jai Autos 98004. Jai Autos is costlier by 90 rupees.
Though i have already posted the break up details twice before, am posting it again.

I would vote for Red bro.. No offense to the blue.. but this isn`t the usual red.. it is maroonish.. the beast brings all it`s awesomeness best in yellow.. and then red.. cheers..!!

Changing the horn would void the warranty.. I wouldn`t recommend you to do that..!!

Get the center stand asap.. Here in chennai.. I was told.. I will get it by first service..!!

KLN guys told me.. demand was on for Yellow.. red and black were in stock.. strange .. I will visiting weekend for the bike delivery.. by the same date as well.. so... we`ll get our beasts together.. if that`s ok.. and a mega congrats to your room mate..!!

Helmet.. in Chennai.. Visit mount road.. bargain hardest.. I am looking for one of those off road helmets from Vega.. costing around 1300 - 1500..

I paid downpayment of 21750 (which includes processing fee, documentation fee of HDFC and an EMI in advance).. Interest is 13.5%..
If you book by August, depending on the mode of payment will be your delivery.. get it from Jai Auto, Adyar if you are booking in Chennai..!!

KLN is pure horrible.. guys doing a decent job are Jai Auto folks.. rest are the same I guess.. I had to write a mail to Bajaj to see my bike.. the one which was allotted to me..

Worth the Rs.90.. just for Jai Auto.. they are way ahead of other dealers.. Did you ask for any extra fittings.. if no, why that 520??

And.. what is this affidavit + Flag Day charges??.. My dealer did not tell me about any.. seriously, KLN guys are total nightmare to anyone.. earlier the wait for the bike.. now these dealers.. sick!

But mine doesnt start even after idling for 10 mins! Gotta wait for Bangalore summer.

My friends 1.5 year old well maintained, Dazzler struggles to reach 100kmph. My 3 year old, 220 though with hell of a lot vibes reaches 136 even today. You win some, you loose some. But at 100kmph, 200NS is way less vibey than atleast Dazzler which I have tested.

bro if you can extend budget for helmet to 2.5K, get a LS2 helmet. Its the best for the money. Looks great in NS

Vega is just for looks. Doesn't do good in safety.

Or at least look for Vemar helmets.

No doubt the dirt bike helmets are stylish, but if you are into touring, those helmets wont help on High speeds.

@Govind.one Affidavit and Flag day charges are for those owners who do not have a Ration card with them as address proof. I mean since i am a Trichy native i have only BSNL bill as address proof in Chennai. For those who do not produce ration card as address proof, the RTO registration will happen only if we put an affidavit and pay Flag Day donation. If i had got the bike from Trichy dealer then i do not need produce any affidavit + Flag day donation. Yes Jai bajaj, Adayar sales are good except for silly goof ups. They enjoy the benefit of being the main Dealer for Pulsar 200NS. They claimed that they are the ones supplying bikes from Bajaj for other dealers. Take me for example, my pre booking number was 54 and am going to get my bike tomorrow. Am actually getting it a bit late because of my choice of Blue color. Had i opted for yellow, then i would have been the very first of Pulsar 200NS owners in Chennai. ( Delivery started last Monday itself)

Yah.. as Shibadip said, that dirt bike ones won't help in long rides.

and yes LS2 has dirt bike models.

Me and my roommate just got ls2 helmets from pioneer scooter shop, gp road. Mine is the red one(Celtic), and his is the black one (phobia). @govind.one, my 2 cents, do check out the pioneer scooter shop at gp road. We tried both the vega and the ls2. The cushioning quality and comfort level is better in ls2. And the people at pioneer were courteous compared to rainbow helmets. Those guys were just rude. Plus it's cheaper I'm pioneer. There are actually two pioneers, one in mount road and one in gp road, and the gp road had better designs at cheaper rates..

Finally the beast in my grasp took it out for a long ride in the city last night.. fell in love with it incredible acceleration.. yu jus don notice the speed gain till yu look at the speedo by which time yu've left everyone on the road behind and very comfortable cruising at 45 kmph in top gear

But i did experience quite a bit of heat from the radiator. It is to be expected for the engine to get hot in the heavy traffic.. but is this heat emission normal. not that it was uncomfortable . just noticeable. kindly advice.

Not Much into touring (my job doesn`t allow me to either ).. will maximum of 85 kms a day from and to office.. at times.. Still.. If safety is an issue.. then I should reconsider off road helmets!!!
