Bro, not to change or judging your decision.
But the duke has issue because only after a few 6 months after the product is released the customer centric issues start popping up, its a very very very common issue in new model, irrespective of the make or model , now the 200ns has not reached to many hands, unlike the duke, and each person runs the vehicle in different manner over a prolonged time giving different results, So goign for the 200 just because duke has some issues and the 200 does not(period) might not be the best of decision.

no its not engine oil fault ... it is a mechanical fault for the gears and engine to become rough ... oil leak is because of defective oil seal ...

        Nice, thoroughly ensuring.
Also proves the ability of the bike for off-roading purpose as well.

i have noticed problem reports from dukers right from the first day to the first week of purchase .. very nearly all dukers .. these are definitely not problems developed over a long time .. most of the problems are reported with less than 400kms on the odo ..

@rohan200NS, I think since the engine oil leaked out, so I guess the engine was running on low/nil oil. That might have caused the engine to become harsh.

@Faffy- U need to take your bike to the SVC, first thing in the morning. And dont run the new engine on low oil.
BTW, the matter should have been looked into during the PDI by the dealer

When we use oils with lesser viscosity than company advised, Any engine will start showing roughness and clunky gear shifting after a few kms.Are you sure this is not the issue?

By the way, bad news, Issues reported in NS :

                1. Engine Oil Leakage, the very next day(2nd day) , took it to SVC, some seal needs to be replaced it seems , not in stock, will get it tomorrow , but i dint expect this to be there, and felt gears and engine had become little rough and hard. This same issue was reported yesterday by some other NS owner also it seems. Anybody on xbhp?

                2. Front suspension when pressed down with force, holding the front brake, makes some "khat" noise....also while riding the front suspension is hard/not smooth and gives little upward vertical jerks. I dont know whether the oil is in excess in it or it is less. Acc to SVC guy, some cone setup needs to be tightened or needs to be changes. Will get the same done tomorrow. Any other owners felt the same? Or any seniors can put some light on this?
One more issue which i forgot to tell is:
Vibrations can be felt at rear foot pegs when sitting as a pillion.... anybody else noticed it? its quite irritating

Even i think the same, coz engine oil got leaked thats why engine and gears became rough and hard, but not sure though as leakage was not that much also

And during PDI and during first day it was not there....it occured on second day... thats why couldnt ride the bike today would be taking the bike tomorrow morning as i have a running of 60 kms a day.... , also i have mailed Bajaj for these issues mentioned by me....lets see

m sure that it is not concerned with engine oil..oil wouldnt have leaked too much to cause some serious shortage of oil in the engine ..rough gear shifts might get sorted out by setting the clutch ..rough engine might be due to improper ignition timing , improper valve clearences , improperly sealed piston rings ....

I have one query, do we really need that rear tyre hugger even in monsoon ?
I like the look with out that tyre hugger.
