Very very brief ride experience as a pillion.. not really in a position to state about vibrations for the pillion.
All I could remember from the pillion experience was that the seat was quite wide and comfortable footpeg and seat relationship for the pillion was much more comfortable than the P220.

From the owner's reviews
top speed seems to be around 125 - 130 (speedo indicated). That's a disappointment for me as I ride 80% on highways. I expected 135 - 140. My humble 110cc/9bhp/Rs50k Twister reaches 110kmph. Since NS' figures are double that of Twister I expected a little more from NS. But not a deal breaker
. I'm almost into it.
Love the ride, not the destination

there's been a lot going on about vibrations. is this completely due to engine or is there something lik the frame mayb to be pointed at. coming of a RE which literally rips my arms off at 110kmph.. i don mind the vibes as long as it doesn damage the bike in anyway.. So is it ok for the bike to do so??

I haven't experienced any kind of vibes around the pillion seat area or footpegs during my testing. In some bikes there was slight hint of buzz around 5-6k but as one its 7k and beyond it completely goes off. Infact the vehicle goes from smooth to smoother as you hit higher revs so this vibration at higher revs baffles me. Experienced the same the other day on faffy's bike.Originally posted by csajal View PostWould really like to have some feedback from MG and Pyeng, if they felt vibes while riding pillion (well that is... if they took the pain to let go of the throttle and ride pillion

My Exp. with the bike.
Hi @fellow xbhpians:
I have been following this thread since @chintan got the bike.. I do not own this bike yet.. but will hopefully buy it soon.. but since I have read so many discussion posts and reviews on this and different websites.. This is what I have been able to conclude so far about the bike. This post could be helpful for the people for who are thinking to buy this mighty machine (these two words might have given you the picture of the post already)
....
Little bit of History about me.
I am coming mostly from Ambition 135 and Royal enfield 350cc Standard background and I recently went for test ride of this bike.
1. About the looks:- I have gone to showroom and as some of the members have already said that the pictures dosn't tell the complete story of the bike. You get only half of it. The real magic you will only feel when you see it live.. One word.. Looks awesome (two words infact
).. Sp. the Yellow one..
2. Pickup and performace:- This bike looks more like a guy with Formal shirt with tie and Jeans pant. I mean it has the sense of Maturity and Early youthfulness as well. To put in simple words, I did not feel that old punchy pickup for which pulsar is known for, but I never got know when I had reached that speed that I wanted, and in lesser time then I expected. I mean it is more than what is expected out of a typical 200 CC engine.
3.Mileage:- Though I don't own this bike yet so I don't have any right to say what it would be, but if I take out the average of averages that people have posted over here, it looks it will easily deliver 45+ in most of the indian driving conditions..
4. Vibes:- Since I have recently sold my RE 350 CC (two weeks ago), I would say that it did not have any vibes at all (at least i did not feel). The people those who say that this bikes have vibes.. you are more than welcome to try a RE 350CC sp. old model, they will understand how actually a bike vibrates.. more over vibes is a perceptional thing.. "aur waise b Veham ka koi ilaaj nahi hota."
5. Heating Issues:- I could feel any heat at all.. though I could not get to ride it for very long.. but yes.. no body has officially claimed heating issues so far on any site or forum.
6. Gearing:- Ah.. that was an absolute delight. One of the smoothest gear shifting that I have ever come across.
What I will change immediately after I buy this bike :-
1. Saree guard.. which I think I should get a after market one.
2. Horns.. Trust me.. Its like a Huge body builder guy like Mr. World Ramakant with a feminine voice. (Mentioned Ramakant coz he is an Indian so does Pulsar).
What I liked the most:-
Oil cooling system.
Six speed transmission
Response of the bike in any gear ratio.
To conclude:
I used to be a pulsar hater (no offences.. due to so call un-realiable engines). But my perception about pulsar changed when I did some research on 200NS and other pulsar model (people can be wrong at times
). I think I am going to buy this bike asap.
SVC guys and after sales service will always be same with all the brands, its just if you are lucky enough.. will get a good one...
One liner:-
The Bike is Quick, vibrant, stylish and Responsive, fuel efficient, and reliable at the same time. It was fun riding this wild horse.Last edited by Dimpy; 07-19-2012, 10:26 AM.If you have never done a mistake in your life, it means you have never tried anything new.

hmmmm can this be taken up with Bajaj as to why in some of the Production motorcycles this is happening. This is because the production motorcycles are supposed to be a notch upwards than the test motorcycles and if the test motorcycles where that smooth, then we shouldn't be having such observations. There has to a reasoning for this. What say??Originally posted by MG View PostI haven't experienced any kind of vibes around the pillion seat area or footpegs during my testing. Can't comment. What I experienced on faffy's bike was most probably because of some loose nut or something similar below rider seat. But even in his bike it was not alarming, more like some feedback coming from below the rider seatOriginally posted by csajal View Posthmmmm can this be taken up with Bajaj as to why in some of the Production motorcycles this is happening. Ok, so did you find any other variations in Faffys bike as compared to ur Test mules. I mean riding wise.Originally posted by MG View PostCan't comment. I remember someone else also quoting loose nut under the seat for the cause of Vivbrations. In that case its a very minor issue.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
Only thing I can say - "The storm is coming"

one more query?
I have one thing to ask to all the owners is that the tool kit below pillion seat does it make sound at higher speed. I felt it could have been secured better. I felt some sound coming from it.
All people complaining about vibes felt in pillion sit please try once more with toolkit removed. Just a suggestion..if anybody tries please let me know. May need a mod for it.

A Big Thanks and need for your valuable suggestions for Chain Lube and Clean...
Guys I would like to thank all of you for posting their first service bill details. I was charged Rs 1168 for the first service of my NS which was way too much as compared to others. I shot a mail to bajaj day before yesterday and yesterday received 7 calls from the service centre starting from requesting and gradually culminating into begging to come over. I visited them in them yesterday evening and all of them were so apologetic that I was kind of shocked than surprised. They even offered me a refund of excess charges but I asked them to adjust the same in next service.
Once again it was all because of you guys that I got the deal fair and square. Kudos to you all.
Now coming to my query....
I had read in other forums that Motul chain lube and chain clean are good. I have searched through all the local dealers in my area but none of them stock motul chain spray.
Can someone recommend an alternate for cleaning and lubricating the chain of my NS. I have heard that Yamaha off road chain spray is good but its more sticky so it attracts more dirt

I should have guessed it..Originally posted by surojit View PostI haven't noticed any stones hitting the radiator... or might be I am not aware if some stones have hit it. Actually I never paid attention...
I was just curious, because the cost to get a radiator repaired (if any) would be more ... But if you didn't face any issues even after this long then this news is good...
@Any of the owners: There is a lot of gap between the rear seat and the body..., does water (rain) seep through there to wet the contents under the seat?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Xbhpians I have actually ordered this bike and the bike is not yet available in hyderabad
.
After following the bike for 9months and booking I have some queries which might pull me back from buying this beast

@chintan & all owners regarding the Saree guard I didnt find a foot rest for women sitting in sideways can it be fitted separately if yes which bike spare would it actually fit or should we live with out footrest for saree guard.
My second query is about the tyres how safe are the TVS ones which are given with P200ns, I heard mixed reviews in this thread. (I personally own Apache RTR and I hate the tyres it skids a lot)
Coming to others aspects which are being discussed as -ves for P200ns here by some fellow Xbhpians
1.vibes
- I have lived with RTR and I never found any discomfort with vibes
2.Mileage- Boss My RTR160 gives 45 and any thing above 40 in P200ns I would jump like kid who has seen bagfull of candies
3.pickup- I have driven my friends Duke atleast for 500kms and I dnt think duke is too good in accelerating at higher speeds (80 to 100), I felt ZMR was better performer than Duke here (personal experience
) and I expect from the previous reviews P200ns will beat both in this aspect (linear acceleration)
I know how much I researched to actually shift myself to Bajaj as I was true baja hater till P200ns was launched and after that
.
May be my post might be OT but I think it would actually help some other propective buyers who share similar thoughts as me.
PS- booked Red but Fell in love with Yellow when I saw it nagpur few days back (going with yellow
)
