khivraj is offering test rides on magrath road.
Somehow liked the red better than the yellow. Awesome road presence.. Seating is slightly higer than the regular pulsar.. Sounds a little more angrier than rhe current pulsar.. Not as aggresive sounding as the duke.. Will put in more after a through test ride

Pointless review..
Hello NS Owners and perspective owners.
I guess its time to ride.. oops Write a detailed ownership review of MY 200 NS. (its important that you note that I have ridden my bike and am going to write the ownership experience of that only, other bikes may have other issues or might not have the issue that I have)
Also note: Whatever I am writing here is not after reading some forum but from my Experiences.
Date of Purchase - 13.06.2012
Date of DeliveryTotal kilometresNo. of days my bike was in Service centre5. Mileage: 35-38kmpl P.S. I use normal petrol, speed k liyea paise nahi hai.. :P

6. Issues that I have faced in these ~2700 kms
1. Bike drifts to the left at low speeds, but this does not hinder my ride quality.
2. Post 6k rpm the front small visor makes noise due to vibrations
3. The neutral light fickers sometimes
4. The gear box is very very smooth but i had false neutrals 2-3 times. Is that ok?
5. Even after having the rear tyre hugger, the bike throws dirt on you (only when riding at high speeeds)
6. There is a constant noise that is coming from the front of the bike. This issue is not sorted yet.
HEAT ISSUES ??7. After Sales-Service- 2.5/5
The service centre guys surely needs to know more about the bike, my bike has been in the service centre for a total of 5 days (excluding the 1st service day) in the last one month. They svc guys claimed to have rectified issue 2 and 6 last week after keeping my bike for 3 days, but after 10 kms things were back to normal. Now again my bike is with them.
I did not have any performance based issues with my bike.
Am I happy with the quality of after sales service? NO

Its not that Number of posts that matters, its the number of Kilometers that does and how you do those kms that matters....

Yup even I think so..Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Posti think that kind of broad single sided pillion footpeg is not available for ns ... there is no place to even fit it as an accessory ... it should have been integrated with the saree guard ,, but i am afraid it isnt ...
this is not very pleasant to explain it parents...

That sounds bad.Originally posted by hara_23scorp View PostNanba, where is koilambakkam? my nearest is Khivraj mount road and Jai adayar as i stay in Royapettah. Did not hear anything from the guys where i have booked. I think i should visit Jai adayar and book it there but the list would have been long by now hence dont know what to do
Jai Auto, Adyar are having the bike for display for more than a week and the test ride facility was available from Last Monday(July 16).
The khivraj Kovilambakkam -> the nearest Land mark is Kamak(t)shi Hospital, Pallikaranai, Near velachery ...

I have one question, Surojit. Since you have done some off-roading, did you have any of the stones hit the radiator?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I took a test drive today!!!! after looking at how rohan is bieng treated here, I cudnt dare cross the limit more than 5k. later when I asked the showroom guy to ride so that I can get a feel as a pillion rider, that bloody buger reved it so hard. I tried stopping him from doing that again, he went on saying that the limit fixed by the company is between 75 - 80 kmph. Is that true????Originally posted by Shibadip View Post@rohan200NS.. The above quotes says it all.
It was really sick of you rip a new bike like that. U very well knew that those were not test riding bikes. even if u give the excuse of "SPORTS BIKE", and test riding means thrashing the bike at the fullest, then u should have waited the test bikes to be registered by the dealer, and not do it on the bike which u very well know that will be owned by some1 else.
only 2 things that I can say to u-
1-stop being so negative and excessively critical about every minor things. (telling this after reading your post in both Duke and NS columns)
2- as @antz.bin suggested get a life... Really.
Would be so good of u if you convey the same to bajaj. This particular thing is happening all over India, and not only by the outsiders(in the form of test-riding), but by the manufacturing people as well(while bringing the bikes from warehouse/factory to dealer showroom).
I have a good Idea for controlling it.
The bikes must come from the factory with the speedo attached, and there can be a temporary breakable seal on the speedo. If the dealer/anyone disconnects the speedo, and there-by the owner can recognize that the speedo has been tampered with.
For this the manufacturer can mention that any where upto xxxkms in the odo can be acceptable by the owners, which can be attributed for handling purposes.

Boss @rohan200NS was bashed coz of many reasons, and not only coz of ripping the new bike like mad.Originally posted by ndmanas View PostI took a test drive today!!!! after looking at how rohan is bieng treated here, I cudnt dare cross the limit more than 5k. later when I asked the showroom guy to ride so that I can get a feel as a pillion rider, that bloody buger reved it so hard. As he afterwards quoted, I too agree that - while testing a bike, it must be tested thoroughly at all RPM range and every thing must be checked.
But this testing must be done on TEST Bikes, and not any othr bike which might be delivered to another owner.
Not like to go OT here, so coming bback to your question,
1)- the limit during the 1st run-in period is 45kmph AFAI remember.
2)- If the Showroom guy did that on a test bike, then its OK, otherwise you can join our Complaint to Bajaj group. Just kidding
3)- Take another PROPER test ride on a PROPER test bike.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

The storm is coming!
Congratulations to every one who owns the pulsar 200ns. And good luck to everyone else waiting for their bikes.
Getting straight to my query. I would be highly appreciative if any one of the moderators could answer this.
InshaAllah, i'm expecting the bike in a weekish period. I have test ridden the bike. I absolutely LOVED it. It was extremely different to see how a bajaj ka bike had such mind blowing brakes. Then again, my brother and I, both after the test drive felt one problem. The dreaded euro grip.
So both of us decided to go and enquire at all local dealerships in chennai. On enquiring this is what we found.
Pirelli sport demon, 130/70-rear --- available.
Pirelli sport demon, 100/80-front--- not available.
I tried talking to pirelli india but couldn't get a satisfactory response as there are no official dealers in chennai. Now my questions.
1. I'm ready to pay for pirelli. But it doesn't have a warranty. when i asked the dealer he said, "mrf aur pirellie key beech mey zameen aasmaan ka farakh hai". should i be bothered about it?
2.MOST IMPORTANT QUERY
For the front tyre, Pirelli has a 100/80 size as indicated by the website. but it isn't available in any dealer in chennai. They all claim to have 110/70/80 size tyres, READY for fitting. So, will the rear 130 and front 110 give me ANY PROBLEMS at all, in the event that i'm going for the 110 in the front? Also, 110/70 or 110/80?
3. If i'm not mistaken(not completely sure), there is a 100/80 available in chennai but its a 'continental' tyre. Rear Pirelli, Front some other brand. Is it the start of a big mistake i'm going to commit?
I want to go for my pirelli pair. Upgrading from my long standing love, the 1999 Kinetic Honda,(mom's actually) i'd like my bike to be OMG.
So will the 110 front cause any problems?
I'm sorry if this was to be posted on a thread about tyres but I REALLY NEED AN ANSWER ASAP before i get my bike delivered. Hope the mods understand the urgency.
A reply asap would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks!
