Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
A tip: When doing any google search, don't just read one website. Go through multiple website which are reliable and then come to a conclusion.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostI'm not technically sound, and i don't mean to question you or sound rude. This is what a google search returned: Undergeared.
Now coming to the point, when the bike is under-geared, it will be biased towards more initial acceleration.
Go to the 'World of sprockets' thread and read the first post there, it is clearly explained about this.
Ride safe and have fun.

Do ns loses its agility with a reduction in seat height? and how to adjust the mono shock of ns? am i correct that more the stiffness more is stability?Last edited by priyank.shishodia; 08-06-2014, 03:46 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Theoretically, a reduction of ride height at the rear would mean that the trail of the steering would be increased. Hence, this will theoretically reduce the steering response of the bike marginally. Though how noticeable it will be in actual real world terms I have no idea.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View PostDo ns loses its agility with a reduction in seat height? and how to adjust the mono shock of ns?
Contrary to your question, I in fact put in bigger tyres at the rear, thereby theoretically sharpening my steering response. Of course I have no reference because I changed them the day i got my bike itself, and I have not yet ridden another NS.
More stiffness does improve stability, but only up till a point. Beyond which the suspension will not have the ability to absorb road surface imperfections anymore and will skip over these imperfections, which, of course, Indian roads have plenty of. This means that the tyre will loose contact with the road, which you don't want it to be doing when at speed. For a demonstration you can try riding off-road on a mountain bike with no suspension, and then ride the same patch again but with a mountain bike with a suspension.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Postam i correct that more the stiffness more is stability?
So more stiffness does help, but there is a limit to how stiff you should go.

That's what even i meant. Undergeared = speed per rpm is less so it means engine quickly runs out of revs.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostI'm not technically sound, and i don't mean to question you or sound rude. This is what a google search returned: Undergeared.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My bike completed 6 months today. Done first servicing at 400 km odo ..Today noticed my headlight switch is not working. Head light gets on with pass button
. Even the parking lights doesn't get switched on . All other lights are intact. Yesterday night it was normal. Anybody has faced this problem here? Feeling a bit sad ..Sometimes the press start too becomes unresponsive when in 1st gear n clutch closed . All this started after adjusting clutch last week ..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Why while riding a cruiser(avenger) or a commuter bike(activa) for small turns one tends to tilt less and use the steering handle more and for the same speed and turn , In bikes like NS one tends to turn the handle less and tilt the bike more?
I mean I obivously kbow that you cannot bend the activa on turns as much as you can an NS, but what else comes in play here?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Ran into a problem today... I was leaving from office and say after travelling out of office for 50 meters... The rear discs got locked... It won't budge only... Searched the net and tried to drain a bit of brake fluid but the toolkit doesn't have anything that will open the screw... It was a pain to drag the bike back to office parking lot... Will d service center people send a person with me to office to fix it as I can't move the bike... And it was late to find any mech in the night... Damn the bike was first serviced like 3 days ago...

I once read in this thread that in an emergency situation, simply hammering the brake caliper with your fist/hand can solve this issue.. temporarily atleast. try it.Originally posted by redlogo2089 View PostRan into a problem today... Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I tried a lot of stuffs... Hammering pushing using some stuff from toolkit to make it release... None helped... Now the only thing I want is if the service center would be good enough to send a mechanic with me to ofc to get this fixed...Galt In Action......
