Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My 200Ns reads 3k + on odo and when i ride my friends 200ns with an odo reading of 14k + , I feel like that 200ns is more powerfull than mine .
Why is it like this ? Is this because my bike is just 3k on odo ?
My friends NS is not heavily tuned for Perfomance. It's also in Stock condition as mine ?
Why does this happen ? Is this happen because my bike just run 3k+ ??

Front tyre? Any affect in the handling at the front?Yes, 140/60 R17 MRF Revz-Y. This is a brand new tire thats fitted on the FZv2.Originally posted by payeng View PostTrust me on this.
I have got short legs that are very sensitive to seat height.
The tread pattern is the same as the Revz-S, I have nothing but good things to say about this tire.
I've had limited KMS in the dry, but whatever little I used it was fabulous. Braked using just the rear from 40-45 kmph and absolutely no locking.
In the wet stuff, I'd call it confidence inspiring. Lovely traction. Of course, will slide in the loose/gravel conditions but which tire does not?
I changed the fronts too, got MRF Zapper FX1, again FZv2 tire. Nothing but praises here too.
I believe you brother!! The added bonus is the ride height has been reduced significantly with this changeAll riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
height decreases due to revz being radial and eurogrip dont. my concern is that on reducing height would the underbelly exhaust rub more breakers? which tyre is best for 200nsns revz 130/70R, michelin pilot street radial 140/70R or new commer fz v2 tyre 140/60R 17?Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostVery surprising to read this. If anything, I thought the ride height would go up coz the Revz-S looks slightly bigger than the Eurogrips.

No, it's just that we are generally more liberal with throttle if it's not our own bikeOriginally posted by NakedWolfer View PostMy 200Ns reads 3k + on odo and when i ride my friends 200ns with an odo reading of 14k + , I feel like that 200ns is more powerfull than mine .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The height reduction would be around 1 cm, 2 cm tops. So you shouldn't worry about hitting the underbelly on speed breakers.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Postheight decreases due to revz being radial and eurogrip dont. my concern is that on reducing height would the underbelly exhaust rub more breakers? which tyre is best for 200nsns revz 130/70R, michelin pilot street radial 140/70R or new commer fz v2 tyre 140/60R 17?
The Michelin is way overpriced and may be an overkill for our NS. The revz-S is a lovely tire and has been universally applauded.
The Revz-Y (FZv2) is a new entrant and I'm more than happy with it.
I was lucky enough to get the tire the day it landed in the shop. The MRF's are also priced very competitively, INR 3200 (Revz-Y) and INR 3000 (Revz-S).
It's your call now, you can't go wrong with either of these including the Michelin.Last edited by hirenmistry; 08-05-2014, 10:49 PM.All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I agree with the above statement. I have the Michelin Pilot Street on my NS and feel that it's too much tyre for the bike for everyday riding.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostThe height reduction would be around 1 cm, 2 cm tops. Thanks for the detailed help, I'll be keeping an eye for your review of new tyre with more kms on odo. i am more diverted towards the new revz-y. and what about the front zapperf fx 100/80 or pilot sporty 100/80? plus one more query how to adjust monoshock of ns? sorry for multiple quesOriginally posted by hirenmistry View PostThe height reduction would be around 1 cm, 2 cm tops. plus i would like to share my experience wid yamalube 15w50(aka motul 5100). Here in ghaziabad motul is not easily available so I opted for yamalube. For first 500kms it would be normal but after that the difference appears more than the bajaj's crap dtsi coz smoothness continues and at higher revz the sound is different than what heard with dtsi. It appears like refined sound.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Can you post pics of your bike from the rear three quarters? Just need an idea as to what it will look like with the fz tyre. Preferably without the tyre hugger. Hope im not asking for too muchOriginally posted by hirenmistry View PostThe height reduction would be around 1 cm, 2 cm tops. So you shouldn't worry about hitting the underbelly on speed breakers.

Reduction in height eh? So the effective dia of the rear wheel is now lesser than with stock tyre. So this revz-y provides a slight undergearing effect. So your bike has a slight edge of acceleration better than an NS with stock size tyres. Rejoice!

I've mentioned this couple of times already, have a look at my last few posts.Originally posted by NakedWolfer View PostHow is cornering in MRf ReV z y ? Is it good in wet condition ?
The FX1 that I have is excellent, no reasons to complain. I have used the Pilot sporty extensively on my classic P180 and though it provides ample grip the steering gets heavier and feels weird.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View PostThanks for the detailed help, I'll be keeping an eye for your review of new tyre with more kms on odo. i am more diverted towards the new revz-y. and what about the front zapperf fx 100/80 or pilot sporty 100/80? plus one more query how to adjust monoshock of ns? sorry for multiple ques

I have posted some pics earlier, have a look at those. I cannot remove the tire hugger though, stone guard in Bajaj speak. Here's the link to my post with pics. You can see the bigger gap between the stone guard and the rear tire.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostCan you post pics of your bike from the rear three quarters? I don't quite know abt a better pickup but this is my observation.
Earlier on stock tires my speedo would indicate 72 kmph at 5K RPM.
Now with Revz-y its 70-71 kmph at 5k RPM. Similarly there is a reduction of around 1 kmph at 6K and 7K RPM. So what does that say?

I thought undergearing would result in higher speeds and lower RPM.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostYep, thats definitely undergearing effect

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
What you're referring to is overgearing effect.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostI thought undergearing would result in higher speeds and lower RPM.
Undergearing happens if you install (compared to stock) a smaller front sprocket, or a bigger rear sprocket, or a rear tyre with lesser height. Acceleration increases and speed per rpm & mileage decrease.
