If you have a paddock stand then chain adjustment on the ktm's is the same as any other bike.

I do have a centre stand in My NS... But I really don't know how to do the chain adjustment. It'll be helpful if someone shed some light in this topic.

Guys i am planning to buy new tires for my bike, so i recently contacted the local tire wallah to sell the stock eurogrips, he is offering 2k for both, bike has run ~5k kms so they are fairly new. i have never sold any bike tire so please help. Is it a fair deal?

It's a brilliant deal. I'm getting 500 for both tyres, run about 14000 kms. Even when mine was 6-7k old, I was getting around 1000 for both. Take the deal. Try to negotiate a few hundred more. If he doesn't agree, take the deal anyway.

This is the only thing that is keeping my hands tied in getting the NS.

Please give more details like where you got the foot peg and how did you assemble.

I see a weld at the rear attachment and screws how did you do that.

              Also, where are you located?

              Sorry for two many questions

The foot peg is of Discover 135 which I got it after some waiting as it was not available in Bajaj showroom and got it from a Bajaj spare parts dealer after few days of waiting. Rs.375 or so including the bolt & screw of 135. Particularly in this one, the foot peg could be removed from the saree guard by unscrewing the bolt. The same is not possible with most of the saree guards. One another option I had was the saree guard of Hero Passion which also works the same way (But again not all). see attached pictures

The left side socket screw of the 135 was thicker and lengthier, but the one in 200 was thin and short. So I got a lengthier and thinner socket screw, which was fixed to the left side of 135 foot rest using screw washer to hold, since the hole of 135 foot rest was big.

For the right side, we tried to remove the U clamp from the 135 saree guard which was weld strongly and it broke away. When the workshop friend was trying to find a solution, I tried fixing the right side part using the screw and bolt of 135 alone. It worked and was looking strong enough, especially as the right side of the foot peg was literally sitting over one of the metal pipe of 200 saree guard. But the workshop person insisted on a weld for additional hold and I agreed. He himself got little black paint from the welder and painted the welded portion.

Before welding I checked the position of the foot peg for comfort and it was very much ok even for shorter pillion rider. And my wife uses this one instead of the default foot rest even to climb the vehicle and it looks strong.

I am attaching the pictures. And please mail me if any help you require.

I am living in Manipal of Udupi district, Karnataka and my home town is Nagercoil of Tamilnadu.

                Hope this helps you.

And sorry if it is too brief or if you find anything wrong in the writing, since I am writing it from my office.

I do feel some vibrations from the footrest of my NS (21K kms)...The SVC guys used to tell me that it is common in all NS...& they say that could be solved only by replacing the entire footrest assembly...
Is it same for all of you... & let me know if you have any solutions regarding this..

Guys, I was thinking about buying the Ceat Zoom XL for my NS but someone told me that the Michelin Pilot Street Radial would have a longer tread life. Is it true? I always thought that Nylon tyres would last longer than Radials. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

If someone here so is using Michelin Street Radials could confirm how their tread life is, they'd be helping a brother out.

My friend purchased MRF Revz s 150/60 and MRF FX for his NS from the above website. It took a week for delivery and there was no problem at all.
The 4 local MRF dealers quoted Rs.4500 for Revz s; he got it for rs.3350 from the website.

Hows the 150/60 working out for him.?
Its a bit too wide, how does it effect the handling of the bike?

I don't know mate. Its been just 2 days that he fitted the tyres and he is currently out of town.
surprisingly 150/60 doesn't look too wide after fitting.
