Maybe thats because the rim is not wide enough and the tire ends up getting the rounded profile.
This kinda kills the points the idea of having a fat tire, i was actually looking at mrf zfx and michelin street radial, just wanted to know if the site was authentic.
    Thanks for the quick reply

      Guys,
Anyone from the group could show me the Wiring diagram of Pulsar 200NS,
Im particularly interested with the Wiring from the Right Handle Switch to the
      Headlight and the Park Light...
Our Version of the Pulsar 200NS here in the Philippines doesnot have the control
switch of the Headlight and the Park light... Appreciate some help from the group.

Hi Guys.. Planning to buy a used pulsar 200ns.. Have checked one black n white May 2014 version.

The owner is selling becoz he is only 5.5feet tall n finding the bike heavier to use on a daily basis.. Hence he wants to go back to P220. I found it convincing knowing the strength required to maniever this bike in Mumbai's crazy traffic..

          I have only 2 questions:

          1. He had removed the pulsar logo from the tank.. And also removed the white lining sticker from the tank which continues as part of the white design. I checked with the service guy and he said that they cant be removed since they are also plastic quoted. So something would have happened with this bike? Coz of which he had to change the tank cover? Although the bike didn't look accidental from anywhere.

          2. There was some vibrational noise from the right hand side. When we were holding the right cover below the seat the noise diminished.. Anything to worry here?

          3. Any other specific things to check in a used 200ns? Any suggestions would be really helpful..

Looking for a quick reply as he might just sell it tomorrow to another one.. Wouldn't want to loose a good one...

About the noise from the right panel, it's not an issue at all. Just the plastic grill is slightly loose, so getting it tightened would be like a 5 minute job.

About the Pulsar Logo, I'm not too sure of that. Ask him his reason for removing it. I've known people to remove it because it's really delicate and cleaning the bike is a difficult job around the logo. It gets stuck, and mine got slightly broken due to getting stuck in the cloth.

About checking for accidents, check the handle bars and leg guard. If there are scratches, he might have fallen. And to see if there's anything major, you can ride it and let go off the handle. If it pulls to any one side, the forks might be bent.

The other thing to check might be the chain. Put it on centre stand (If he's got that installed on the bike), and put it into first gear and see if the chain jumps a lot. If it gets stuck and jumps a lot, the chain sprockets might need replacement.

You can also rev the throttle on neutral once and listen closely to see if you hear any noises from the engine. If you're hearing just a plastic sort of a noise, then that's just your panel. If you hear a metallic ringing sort of a noise, it might mean that either the number plate is loose, or the pillion foot rests are loose.

If he's not run many kms, and the tyres are gone, he might have done a few burnouts. Which is not a big issue, but you may need to change the tyres.

These are all the issues I can think of right now.
            Hope it helps.

Btw, what's the price he's offering?

Guess no unusual engine noises.. Just that some gruff if u hear very closely.. Guess that is bcoz the engine hasnt opened up fully yet.. Only ridden 4700, tyres in stock condition.. Not tilting to any side as well chked that as well..

Will just need to chk the chain as u said.. But don't think that shud be an issue as it was riding good..

75k is his last offer.. No scratches at all anywhere to evidence an accident... Leg guard, brake handles, foot pegs all looking grt..

If it's 75k, it's a good deal if it's a really good bike. But if you're going to pay that much, might as well buy a new one. That way, you can raise your baby the way you want.

If you like it, you can go for it.

If I were you, I'd buy the bike, and use it. At the same time, I'd wait for 400CS or 400SS. When that launches, after the first lot, I'd sell off the NS at maybe around 65-70k, and buy the new bike.

Hello guys, Need a little help which is pretty urgent.

I am touring the northern part of the country. As you know its winters, the fog is bit too much. Additionally my bike has run bit much and the battery life is completely gone. And I need to install fog lamps. So have a few questions.

Q1. My battery is not at all in a good health. 3 start attempts and everything restarts. Any idea if the dry-battery charging thingy that they do is really helpful or it works somehow? Technically, I feel its bullcrap.
Q2. Any upgrades for the battery available that can be fitted in the stock battery chamber?
Q3. About fog lamps: Is it okay to paste a yellow filament plastic over the headlamp for temporary utilization? Need a very temporary lighting mod that can help me to cut through this dense fog before I go and get the fog lamps installed.
Q4. What is the color temperature required for a best utilizable fog lamps? I don't appreciate the idea of going down a cliff edge on a foggy night when I am touring.

                            Thanks in advance.

To the guy above who is buying a used-NS. If you are going to pay 75k, please go ahead and buy a new one. There is around 25-30% depreciation on a vehicle's value when its registered and comes out of the showroom. Add up the depreciation for the kilometers run. I personally would pay around 65k for a scratch-less NS that was bought in April'14 and clocked only 5k, but then, that's me. And maybe that tank was changed. You will find almost everything in service history.

Same. Even I'd pay 65k at most for it. And I wouldn't buy the black white one anyway because even when I'm playing pool, I try to pot solids. But that's just me.

About the battery, coincidentally, I had gone to get my battery serviced today itself and I asked them whether there is any need to charge the battery, because I had heard that dry cells don't need charging. He said it definitely needs to be charged at times.

On that voltmeter or ammeter (I'm not sure which), he said that if the reading is above 12.00, then after starting, the battery gets charged as the engine keeps running. But if it falls to 11.90 or less, then the engine isn't able to pump juice into the battery, and then it needs charging, for which, he said, I'd need to give my battery to them and they'll keep it for 3 days. They'll give a replacement battery to use in the meantime.

The price of a new Exide battery is 2300 as quoted by the svc guy today. I cannot say that for sure right now because I've not asked about it at any retail outlets.

Coming to the lighting, I'm a complete noob at that, so I'd better leave that one for the experts.
