Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Purely depends upon your riding style and the surfaces your bike generally rides on! Periodic lubrication and cleaning is a must too!Originally posted by Jasmeet Singh View PostGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi Friends,
Is there any after market engine cover/cowl(like in duke and tvs rtr) available for 200 NS too?
If not direct fit or manufactured for NS.. is there any alternate?
Even honda stunner has it.. i am really thinking that adding cowl will add more sexy look to bike.
will duke's cowl fit NS?Last edited by srisathiyan89; 02-26-2015, 10:20 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I mainly drive on highways but didn't know much about chain lubrication and cleaning until 2 months back(when I joined XBhp). Not much care was taken except regular interval of servicing for last 2years. So I think it must be time and mechanic might be right in suggesting the change in sprocket and chain.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostPurely depends upon your riding style and the surfaces your bike generally rides on! Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Same here. mine is new bike and second service I switched to motul 7100. I don't feel any difference between bajaj and motul. Is this because of first time I used. Also I ride only 10 km a stretch. Please give some suggestions.Originally posted by ep452 View Postit might sound funny
but has any one ever felt like after changin engine oil from bajaj dtsi to motul 20w50, bike got more rough?? I am facing the issue and want to know if engine oil could be a reason. Changed oil from bajaj dtsi to motul 3100 Gold 20w50 and now the bike fells very rough. Its not there when i start the bike, but the rough feeling comes after riding for 10-15 minute. bike have done 23K. bike chain is well lubricated and slack seems to be good.
any suggestions/input?

Thank you for the reply.Originally posted by rohanm123 View Post1. I have been using 15w50 since the first service and hadn't faced any issues since. However i was looking for a fully synthetic oil. Need to get reviews on that though.
2. Are you sure the weired noise you heard is int associated with the fan that was operating?
3. Nothing can be done on the lube unless you have a concealed chain.
Recently did some stickering work.
What do you think?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
An engine oil works best at its optimum operating temperature.
When the engine is running lean, there is a lot of heat generated. This in turn affects the operating temperature of the oil. There is a possibility that an engine running continuously with a lean mixture could melt a piston/blow a hole in it. With such heat the oil is also bound to get more hot and lose its viscosity, thus making the engine harsh.
Therefore get the right amount of air fuel mixture then the engine oil will operate as its supposed to. Why do you think we have electronics (fuel injection) with sensors in most automobiles handling the AFR
The motul lubricants are good. Don't see why they can cause roughness if it was only an oil change. As per my understanding its the AFR gone bad or the Motul oil used was spurious.

How do you exactly come to know that setting has been set to lean or rich?Originally posted by anilupadhya View PostAn engine oil works best at its optimum operating temperature.
