        Hi Guys

Those are same tyres used in yamaha r15(new version of r15 comes with revz).

The new tyre options and specification for Pulsar 200 NS is as follows

Hi i have posted images and link you can check

Yes its soft compound tyres. If you keep duke 200 and 200 NS side by side , back tyres and materials of both looks almost similar.

if you have seen 200 NS new bike with both MRF and eurogrip, you could clearly say that eurogrip looks lik plastic feel + very hard to touch(nylon and shiny by looks) but MRF zapper looks pure rubberish + very soft to touch(no plastic feel).

        My personal opinion

TVS eurogrip--> i took test drive on eurogrip. was driving in 70 kmph only. sudden break, rear wheel locked even with pillion but its best tyre with long life than what you would expect

MRF zapper--> superb tyre with soft compound. i have done 250 km (one way) highway trip + daily city rides. with that experience i am saying, best tyres with good grip. No wheel lock.

If you want me to describe back tyre of 200 NS in one word, I would say its "Dukish" so same performance and feel you can get from this.

I was totally satisfied with my old stock Eurogrip.
I had posted my user experiences about 2 years ago.
And had nightmares with revz and zapper fx.
Still I am looking for eurogrip 100/80 ...
Now on Michelin radial on back and normal tyre at front.

My reserve just ran for 5.5km and I was stranded in middle as bike stopped all of a sudden.

              2. That being said, never apply too much front brake in gravel coz, it will lock easily (though rear locks as well, but front wont be helpful in stopping as much it does on the other case) and you wont stop, use rear instead a bit more here.
              3. On wet, things change a bit. Try 50%+50% braking ratio.
              4. On corners, use less front braking. Also on wet roads\gravel, avoid much of cornering.

Also, if you feel your rear wheel locks so quickly, ask your svc guy to adjust it. I had that prob when I took delivery.

Reg mileage, I got very less.
              My mileage history is

              28kmpl ~ @ 100kms
              32kmpl ~ @ 300kms
              34kmpl ~ @ 550kms
              43kmpl ~ @ 750kms (After 1st service)
              44kmpl ~ @ 900kms
              46kmpl ~ @ 1250kms
              and so on...

After that on, I've been getting a constant 43~44kmpl with sane driving speeds ~45kmh to 70kmph (mixed ride)

              The Bottom line is,
If you want better mileage, Drive like discover 100cc
Totally agree with you but around corners front brake will help you more than rear cuz rear brake will tends to lift you up. Front braking will give you more grip while braking but too much, you will be superman.

                Hey Guys,

This is the second time i am posting this message. Please throw some light

Query 1: I am in a dilemma with the 4th service of my bike; should i be giving to the Bajaj service center or to hand it over to a local mechanic. I had a very bad experience with the way the service is done at the Kalayani Bajaj. Let me know if anyone there is familiar with any good mechanic near mathikere or close by.

Query 2: Currently i am running on a semi synthetic Motul 15W50 engine oil. Should i top up with a fully synthetic one? What is preferred other than Motul?

Query 3: I see some leakage from the engine; not sure if it is the oil leakage or the excess fuel flow which would be seen in a traditional carburetor? Is somone faced with similar issue? One of the mechanic suggested me to replace the engine seal. Is this what i should be doing?

Query 4: The performance of the breaks seem to have decreased gradually over the usage. What's the ideal time for replacement of break pads or is there anything else i could do for this?

Query 5: I had two puncture within 200kms of my ride on my rear tyre. This was fixed by using a tyre puncture kit. However i see that, after filling up the air to 36 psi, the air comes down to 16 psi within a week's time. Any suggestion how to fix it?

Donot mix oils, drain and replace always.

Bound to decrease, give it a routine cleaning and if does not work get it replaced.

A tyre with a badly repaired puncture, either get it fixed properly or try to get a mushroom patch done.

                    Guys,

I have a question (I know its lame but I need your reply ). I had P180 2013 model and I sold it since I wanted a bigger bike i,e. 200 NS or Duke 200. Parents rejected Duke200 since they could not see any pillion seat on that . So i have left with only one option i.e. 200NS.

I used to park my P180 under the stairs and the path which leads to that parking place is very narrow but I used to take P180 without touching the wall on the either side(there was hardly 3cms of space between handle bar and the wall ). So my question is will 200NS pass through this narrow path? is the width of the handle same for P180 and 200NS?? I would like to know the width of the handle of 200NS. I have no option other than parking under the stairs since the portico will be occupied by my car. Please help me out guys.

                    Regards,

I got the below dimensions from the 200NS's manual:
                        Dimensions
                        Length 2017mm
                        Width 804mm
                        Height 1195mm
                        Wheel base 1363mm
                        Ground clearance 167mm

is 804mm the width of the handle bar? I presume that nothing can be wider than the handle bar on a bike!

I am facing the issue and want to know if engine oil could be a reason. Changed oil from bajaj dtsi to motul 3100 Gold 20w50 and now the bike fells very rough. Its not there when i start the bike, but the rough feeling comes after riding for 10-15 minute. bike have done 23K. bike chain is well lubricated and slack seems to be good.

                          any suggestions/input?

It has actually been found that the Motul 7100 20W50 increases the acceleration, mileage and top end however makes the engine feel harsher.

On the other hand, the Motul 5100 15W50 drops all these slightly but results in a very smooth engine.

Please do not give dangerous advice like this to anyone. Using rear brake will lift up the bike? Do you have any idea about a thing called physics?

Around a corner, it's best to avoid braking. If it's a smooth corner with no traffic/pedestrians, then you should increase throttle from 4k to 6k gradually on any gear.

If there is a need to slow down suddenly, it's best to straighten up the bike as much as possible before applying the brakes. If you manage to get it upright, then you should do the normal braking. Otherwise, you should only try to slow down. Full front brake will make your front slip and you'll wreck your face. Full rear brake will lock up the wheel and you'll skid into the wall. Same result. You'll wreck yourself.

But using the rear brake no way lifts up the bike. Sorry.
