    Hi,

    I have asked the svc to tune it today. And they said they would clean the carb today.

    Could you please tell me what is a carb slide?
    I was informed that the diaphragm must be damaged.so they need to check it.

    And would changing carb come under warranty?

      Hi jazzy,

      Have given bike to svc to tune it properly and check the carb.
      I have threatened them as suggested by u.
      I felt they really got scared hearing about the mail thing.:P

        The height adjustments wouldnt help much. I once saw a shorter guy trying to take his bike (200ns) from parking till shifting to 1st and moving, it took him lot of stages (I mean turning left and moving reverse a bit and steer) inbetween. He was oscillating left and right and with his toes he was trying to balance (Which is very risky imho). Upon riding he did fairly well. Adding a shoe can help, but will you have to always wear a shoe to take your bike to a near by grocery store, etc?. Sounds little unnatural... But give it a try.

          Softening suspension will slightly reduce height but you wont feel planted in corners coz of soft suspension ..
          Other solution you can try out is swap the rear tyre for smaller height one like mrf revz-y .. I mean instead of 130/70 you could go for 130/40 or 50 donno correct size but confirm it once with any tyre dealer ..
          I bet you'll get used to it once you start using bike !
          And as far as reversing bike is concerned its not compulsory to sit on bike and then reverse ... you take it of stand push the bike out of slot and thats it !
          As far as height issue is there i am to tall for ns !! Every now and then i get to hear that ns looks small on me and etc etc you should have bought a full faired bike etc etc dont hear to people's nonsense ..

            Carb slide is black cylindrical shape which is placed below the diagraph .. When air sucked in it will goes up.. If it is faulty the he will not able to work properly which cause af mixture problem.. Between this slide there is needle jet which control mid range 15%-60% of throttle. The diagraph is spoil then again the slide will not work properly.
            And sometime diagraph is cut then it leaking air then you notice drastically power loss at mid to high range..
            This is the basic problem of CV Carb and flat slide/round slide carb does have this issue hence they are more reliable n cheap

                My 200 NS

                I am getting tappet sound(taka taka) from engine as was the case with my pulsar 150.
                When i asked in my native, Bajaj showroom guy and even other mechanic told its the case with all the new pulsar after 2011 or something.
                They opened pulsar 150's engine top and did something to tight and told me its tappet issue. It stopped giving sound but don't know its same issue or not.
                I am assuming its tappet sound because its giving same sound.
                Anyone else facing this?

                  Guys..my 200ns is just 1.5 months old and while driving sometimes it shifts to lower gear automatically n comes back to previous gear again in 2 or 3secs...why this happens??

                      Brother can you please tell at what speed you faced this "smoke problem" because I also faced this issue in my bike whenever I rode it at 100+ speed..... I talked to a friend he also owns a Pulsar 200ns he told me that it's common in our rides

                          Hi I was getting smoke smell even when idling,
                          And black smoke when in neutral and rev above 10 .
                          Got it tuned and svc said. That my spark plugs wer clogged hence all the issues, now it's all fine and no black smoke in wad so ever condition.
                          Hav ridden my bike only at max speed of upto 65km/hr so not sure about your issue.

                          But do get the spark plugs checked once.

                            Black smoke usually means the AFR is very rich and hence the clogged spark plugs.

                            Also, one should not rev the engine hard in neutral. It is not good for the engine. Avoid it as much as possible.
