Increasing the rear sprocket will give you good low end, hit the top speed quite faster, but you will lose top speed i.e. and vice versa for a smaller rear sprocket.

        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

In the dry, i had no complaints with stock tyres. In the wet, i have very little confidence in them. Might be due to the weight of the bike or the way i apply the brake.

If you are going to continue with the stock, i would suggest 200-300 km run in for the tyres as well. No sudden braking or extreme lean angles till then.
IMO mrf revz-c 150/60 would do good. Many owners have done it and no one has given a negative feedback. Going for it in a few days.
Stock tyre: 130/70. So the tyre height is 70% of 130 mm which is 91 mm. Revz-c: 150/60. So the tyre height is 60% of 150 mm which is 90 mm. Wouldn't make a difference too big. And since it's a round profile like the stock one, no such bad changes in handling / stability as compared to the stock one.

yeah even am planning to do the same, but cant find any 43t rear sprocket with 6holes, all have 4 holes.
if you can find one with 6hole please let me know.

Whats with the holes ??? Wont a 4 hole work ? I'm totally blank about this....
Also why do you seek exactly a 43T ? Anything more than 39T will increase low end torque right....?

no i dont think so, cause i guess we'll ne able to mount only 2 holes, no idea.
some other member suggested to get a 4 hole one and drill the holes.
15/43 is the dukes setup which has same gearing ratios like ns.
so wanted to go for it.

aaahhhhh tyre discussions are back . I remember starting a debate on EUROGRIPS after my nasty comments on them.

Well the math seems to be spot on. I just have few doubts:
Few years back when I was totally new to bikes, I was told by all exp riders...not to play much with the prescribed profile of tyres for obvious reasons. Now in this case, calculations are saying effects should not be much but there has to be some right?. So what can be those? Else, BAJAJ would have thought about keeping duke's spec of rear tyre.

Keeping common sense aside, 150/60 is just too mouth watering I am still close to 7k on ODO so no chance of getting one for me now

Dude please go fast & get it fast fast

                    @all
The Indonesian NS has one good thing that I wanna ask every one here. The paint job on handle bars. I don't like the glossy finish on my bike as the finish starts to deteriorate very easily.

Any idea of getting that for our bikes????

well, my reason for desire of change in tyre is for better wet traction, not for looks. so i will prefer either sports demon or MRF rear tyre of R15 V2, without changing the size. so i am looking for 130/70-17 pirelli sports demon, unfortunately, it seems that it is not available. and for front, it is more difficult to find a better tyre. anybody know any good tyre shop in pune which deals in imported tyres...??

Sorry I don't remember the way properly, went there only once with my friend.
The probiker shop in camp owns that shop, you can ask them.

Though my signature says "im redlining NS all the time".. It's not accurate lol cos I haven't been getting many opportunities to ride hard and fast in these crowded Noida/Delhi roads. Infact the highest speed I can usually take my NS to is just around 100 or so. I haven't done a top speed run on an expressway in a long time and the last time I hit it, it was 131 kmph and I simply refused to go above that cos it was getting scary (I was a new rider back then).
But I did it today, a proper top speed run on Yamuna Expressway @4300 kms on ODO. While most NS'ians have claimed to hit 150+ kmph (with 9% speedo error ? so real is 136kmph), I was only able to achieve 141 kmph and it was scarily fast yeah. mostly because that traffic was alot even on this expressway along with those slow moving 3 wheelers zzZ. Just curious if my real speed was just 127 kmph considering 9% speedo error. or really around 136 kmph, the actual claimed top speed. not that I care much about top speed, it's just curiousity. I was totally exhilarated after my run though. and incidentally my bike moving@ 140kmph easily overtook a dragging P220F (with respect!) which seemed to be going at it's top speed. Weird stuff, btw the post isn't meaning to offend any P220F owners. Just sharing my experience!
Bike was super smooth all the way, still is. Had almost zero vibrations going at 140kmph in 6th, except minor good feel vibs on handle bars.
Poor stability at 100-120kmph ! I just can't believe the wind blast and how unstable the bike becomes over 120kmph, it's scary.
The bike seemed smoother and happier after this run.
Could this lower speedo indicated 140kmph be cos I didn't shift all my gears at the highest available RPM, meaning 10500-10800 RPM ? I just shifted randomly around 8k-10k. I don't like to redline my NS in 1st and 2nd gear :/
After this I really feel like test riding a P220F and seeing how it feels like at 120kmph+
