    Yeah about that too.
If you will notice, the initial 220 models had the "F" on the fairing...which indicated it to be "The Fastest Indian". Also, those models were sold as just "220".
Now when Bajaj introduced the 220 Street Fighter model,in order to differentiate both of them Bajaj added an "S" to the "220" badge on the tail of the bike. Also, they did away with the "F" from the fairing, and added an "F" to the "220" badge on the tail for the faired version.

I am guessing they did it because,by that time other manufacturers like Honda got into this game, and the Pulsar 220 could no longer hold its tag of "The Fastest Indian".(Just a guess )

Guys, yesterday I saw that there was no coolant left in the reservoir and then I noticed that there was a white layer of coolant floating over the engine oil. The coolant has entered the engine oil chamber, the service centre guy told me that either the head gasket has blown or the pump seal has gone kaput.

I wanted to ask you guys can I claim warranty for these repairs or I have to pay from my own pocket?

It has to be done under warranty and you must not give even a single rupee.
Btw, what is the purchase date of your bike. Initial 200NS has this problem of coolent leaking into engine oil. Later on bajaj rectified it by changing some of the parts like radiator and/or radiator cap etc.. If you notice carefully older NS had a black color plastic radiator cap which was later changed to a more complicated looking metal cap sort of.

How much km have you done on your NS ?? Blown head gasket is a major problem. If its still under warranty, fight with them and stay with the SVC till it gets resolved. And if you are using any other oil than Bajaj oil, please don't tell them.. They wil put the blame on you for using other brand oil and make you pay..
Hope its not blown head gasket and prince a radiator cap will not make the coolant to enter engine oil Bay...

Dont drive too much and if taking to svc dont rev it above 5k as the engine oil is so watery now.. I advice not to drive

Totally a manuf defect. Dont pay anything. Keep all the service bills ready as they are compulsory for claim of warranty. Also if you are using bajaj oil then issue should be solved without any problems.

My NS has black color cap. No problem till now and yes the old batch had this issue but many reported it after getting their bikes serviced from great Bajaj SVC.

So damn difficult to find a Bajaj SVC which knows how to handle ns

Bike has done 10.8 kms, first NS in Delhi, bought it in on 24 June last year, using motul oil poured from the svc itself.

Guys I have this thing I wanna talk about, Wheelie attempt! But are we even allowed to talk about Stunting etc on xBhp ? xD
Question is.. Do you think it's easy to pop a clutch wheelie on NS ? if so then what RPMs, also how much does it wear out my Clutch if I nearly redline with closed Clutch, ofc to attempt wheelies. Truth is lol that my front wheel has accidentally came up several times when riding hard, cos of imperfect shifting at times. I've watched some Youtube tutorials about Clutch wheelie, pretty good. but idk if I put my bike through so much punishment.

My advice is that, dont even start the engine.
any gasket or oil seal may be faulty

Clutch wheelies feel good. But only if you're ready to say ta-ta to your clutch plates.

haha, yea that's what worries me. so basically im gonna need a new Clutch if my existing one starts showing signs of wear sooner than expected. and for that engine needs to be opened up etc.. it's a disaster isn't it. So these Stunt riders like GRz who use P200NS.. their bike engines, clutch plates don't last very long do they ?

what about tires? which is the expensive part when stunting....

Yeah tires too, especially the rear one is perhaps changed most often. but only if it's been through a series of burnouts ? which is a very basic stunt, easy to perform. i guess nothing much to practice there.

Not just GRz with P200NS, all stunt teams need to do their homework after a few performances. The bikes look and perform like they can take it but they're actually crying.
Yeah it's a disaster the way the engine ends up after a few such runs. It's like asking a man to lift and hold 5 kgs of weight for one full day non stop. It looks like a small weight and that he can actually do it. But at the end of it, he'd feel like his hands would drop off

Guys just wanted to know how much does the drive chain and sprockets last under normal conditions, my bike's chain makes loud noises and the svc guy told me that chain set needs to be replaced. He also told me that both NS & DUKE chain set lasts for 9k kms, how far is this true?

Lastly, is it necessary that both front and rear sprockets also be changed when installing a new drive chain?

Btw, bike is still at the svc for the coolant engine oil mix up issue, the manager told me that repairs will be carried out under warranty but I will have to pay for the new engine oil and coolant:sly:

since this is my first liquid cooled bike, i can't say what is the relation between radiator cap and coolant leakage into engine oil sump, but this is confirmed by bajaj ASC mechancis and service manager in pune, that whenever a bike comes in with this problem, radiator and/or radiator cap are one of the items that gets replaced.

may be something like a pressure release or something, not sure.

9000 kms is too less for any chain be it O-ring, X-ring or No-ring.

yes, ideally both the sprockets needs to be changed along with chain.

regarding engine oil and coolant being charged to you, just ask the service manager to show you where it is written in warranty terms & conditions that coolant and engine oil should be paid by customer. ask politely but firmly. he may be right, but he may be wrong also.
