Guys I checked today and my radiator fan isn't working. Might get it fixed soon someday. I had ridden a few kms & ripped on the way home, then I idled for 5-7 minutes (too much ?) and no radiator running still.
eh.. how come ?? so what did your bike feel like when the you running on worn out clutch plates ? revved more & accelerated less ? and is it back to normal now ?Originally posted by Shaikh Mohsin View Post

Radiator Fan
well i confirmed this thing with the SVC centre guys that the Fan does NOT run all the time, when it detectes that the coolant temperature has reached around 91 degrees its starts up and shuts down when the coolant temperature comes down to 81 degrees, and it mostly happens during bumper to bumper traffic when the wind flowing to the radiator is not as much as it is on the highways.

It doesnt just appear to be bright...it actually is. What you see is the pic with only 2 lights on...the third one is still off.Originally posted by broken87 View Posthey wb dude, and.... holy crap that is a really bright setup.. or appears like that.. what is that ? show from the front lol.
We call his light setup - mini supernova. Its blinding and all you can see from the front is a bright white flash.

Cleaned the front sprockets ? Or also check if any of the 2 consecutive links have stuck to each other, most probably by dirt particles.Originally posted by smrutisourav View Postbike chain slackness adjusted, cleaned and lubed, still chain is making sound....the wheel is rotating very freely after lubing but after that chain sound has increased...how to get rid of this sound??? You can go to Bajaj Website and put a complaint there. Those guys are quicker than the stupid CC.Originally posted by tejas1509 View PostWent to Thane service center after accident. Sunil, the person who made me job card yesterday said front wheel Disc will have to be replaced. I asked for insurance, he said it will take 10 days for insurance.. So i said forget insurance and get my bike fixed bt evening. Then in afternoon yesterday he says they dont have disc, it will take 1 week.
When I went to collect my bike today, they charged me 112 rupees for labour charges. They should not have touched my bike if they didn't have parts. On arguing, Sunil started shouting, bloody ill educated idiot has no sense to talk with customers... highly dissappointed with their treatment.. we have bought the costliest bike bajaj ever produced..
If anybody knows of online complaint logging facility for shreeram bajaj, pls post the link here....
Advice to people going to Thane shreeram bajaj svc, Ask for Pramod to make job card... Sunil is hopeless creature...
So did I on my bike. My bike is having overheating issue..no idea..Originally posted by Aytas_sss View Post@All, I've noticed a bit of condensation on the sides of the coolant inspection window. I took the one less traveled by,

I would love to burn their eyes out...! I have always imagined carrying those little round things in Spiderman, and throwing them to idiots who don't dip their lights. And take their headlights out.!!!!
Good set up you have there.
However, I sincerely suggest be careful. I know you are. Please don't let a lorry become your nightmare.
I have seen truck and bus drivers going straight at on coming vehicles who don't dip their lights. If the road has a good divider its fine. But else, its dangerous.
There was a KSRTC Super Deluxe I used to take to commute from my home town to my work place. The journey was over night. The bus was an older Lextran model on Leyland chasis with stacked headlights and and a big extra light in the middle just above the grill. And there was a driver who used to switch all the lights to high beam and go straight at vehicles especially smaller vehicles who don't dip their head lights. The oncoming vehicles would have no choice but to either dip their lights or go over the shoulder or just hit the brakes. What I am talking about here is a bus vs small vehicles. A bike does not stand a chance.
Almost all truck drivers drive super long distances and have to brave difficult terrain, heavy traffic, police, excise, countless check posts and many other pathetic conditions. These guys can get pissed off easily. On a highway on a lonely dark night, a truck can run you over and they would simply drive away.
And I just bloody hate the extra long Volvos and Benz buses. These monsters occupy more than half of the road and the drivers behave as they are kings of the road.
Please be careful. May all of us be safe....!Last edited by danny king; 03-08-2013, 02:57 PM.Your bike is a part of you....

It seems most of these big trucks come out after late night. when the roads are much clear so they don't cause major traffic jams and inconvenience to others.Originally posted by danny king View PostAnd I just bloody hate the extra long Volvos and Benz buses. Encountering problems today. As always,I idle for 30 secs during the first start of the day and since the past three days, the bike used to have absolutely no starting problems after that. Today, however, after parking it in the sun for 4 hours and then starting it took 4 attempts. Then again,at a traffic signal,I switched the engine off to avoid overheating, and the bike took 3 attempts to start. Also, after riding 10kms,I gradually rev upto 6k rpm for a few seconds everyday so that the engine sets in properly in all gears. But while doing that today, there were suddenly earthshaking vibes above 5.5k rpm. Not just from the console, but also the handlebars and the tank. I am due to top up the coolant today. I am going to ask the technicians at the probiking showroom about this. AFAIK,such vibrations during the run in period (running on FS Motul 300v), are rare.
Also, any suggestions on how to prevent minor scratches from developing on the black model? The black NS is easily susceptible to a dusty coating while it's not so visible on the other colours. I do not want to wipe with just a cloth in fear of leaving scratches. Then again, washing every week is not a viable option for me as I live in a government quarter.
EDIT: Went to svc. Guy said coolant level while the engine is warm is supposed to be just below or thereabouts the min level. Then he got some plastic spongy cloth, cut it into two pieces and then put it under the pillion seat. Tail vibrations are damped now. But console vibes still there. Has anyone faced this during the run-in and did the vibes persist after the first service? The guy then started a sales pitch about "emwoi" silicon glaze. I was confused until I came back and googled the same. Turns out it was amway's.
