I agree with you. MRF Revz is a very good alternative to the rear Eurogrips. Pirelli SD being a soft compound tyre is prone to punctures and has a short life span (wears off fast) but has superior grip.

I had fixed a Dunlop Tuffgrip 140/70 17 on my old FZ. And yes, it is much better than Revz. It is true. It has a very good dry and wet grip. But I don't think Dunlop Tuffgrip is available in 130/70 specs.

Did you purchase online or over the counter? How much did you have to pay for the wax?
During the first service, the service did a Teflon coat. Obviously, it was not Teflon. And they did not do a good job. The unpainted black surfaces started to show whitish layers here and there. They used the same coating for all parts or they did not buff properly. Plastics and unpainted blacks need a different type of coating.

    • okay so for people who wanted to see my light setup from front, here it is with the lights switched off.... 55w main headlight with philips diamond vision and 2 DLAA 55w fog lamps on two sides... this is with the lights switched off
now this is how the light looks like from front with 55w daimond vision with two 55w DLAA fod lights...

now what i did is put a 35w h4 hid in my stock reflector (which is greenish yellow in color) and a 35w 6000k h3 hid on the left hand side DLAA fog lamp which in turn gives out a greenish white output coz the glass of the fog lamp is tinted.... and i left the righ fog lamp stock with the 55w bulb to help me in the fog on highway.... and this is the result which came out....

Yeah that's what I thought, but it seemed unlikely that the coolant temperature dropped that quickly. May be it did who knows. So all iz well with my bike.
Btw, does a better coolant help better with cooling the engine ? like Motul coolant that Yamaha prefers to use in R15. Just like good quality engines oils i mean.

Dunlop 140/70 17 is what I've got my eyes on. I've seen it on NS & it looks spectacular, hopefully it doesn't fiddle with the dynamics. Yes it doesn't come in 130/70 specs.

My bikes fan worked for the first time only after 4 months. I was having doubts whether it worked at all. That's because it was the first time I was hopelessly stuck in a traffic jam after I bought my NS. I would vouch for Motul Radicool. The manual says do not dilute with distilled water.
I prefer Motul brand altogether from my experience.
And thankfully, there is a Motul dealer just a few kms away from my place. That guy stocks many brands Shell, Valvoline, Motul, Castol etc. as well as the Indian brands too.

I would think twice before going for the Tuffgrip 140/70 for the NS. Tuffgrips are heavy. And it would raise the back side. Being a short guy, I can feel the ground only with my toes with the stock set up. Fixing a Tuffgrip would would add to my woes.
Do check with any NSians who had installed a Tuffgrip about their experience.

I truly wish that Dunlop would release Tuffgrip with 130/70 17 specs.

Raise the back side ?? OH COOL! lulz
btw, I had talked to the owner of that particular NS with Dunlop 140/70. He seemed happy & said this Dunlop tyre provides exceptional grip compared to the old Eurogrip one. Also said there is no drop in acceleration, mileage either. At least not noticeable to him I believe. He also added that Duke uses 150/60 tire & has almost similarly powered engine, yet it goes slightly faster than NS. But I forgot to ask him what he had fitted in front Tyre.

It's the reverse case at my svc. Of course the mechanics dont care about any bike but the manager has taken NS very seriously. I still remember his reaction on seeing my bike with a few scratches the first time I fell. He made sure my bike was given the best care possible and he did get first aid administered to me (imagine my love for my bike, I went to the svc before the doctor ). Anyway, my svc's manager is a good chap.

                I don't think so.

Now I am thinking, it was my life's second big mistake, which I had made the decision to buy this "BUFFALO"
                I am totally fed up
I say, my NS has hit 128 completely vibe free, what do you say to that?
                Note: I'm not bluffing.
I hit 152 (speedo indicated) pretty well, but of course, the bike was a tad bit unsettled at that speed. I mean, 152 isn't exactly NS's comfort zone. I'm not talking about vibes here btw.
Like another senior member said, by bad luck, you've probably gotten yourself a defective piece. I know this forum is for help and solving problems but I will stand by what I said coz you seem to have given up on your bike.

Bought it from shoppersgreed.com . Searched on ebay. Found the 200gm can at a price of 409/-. Too heavy on my poverty stricken pocket. 100gm wala can on shoppersgreed turned out to be a bargain at 100 bucks overall. I am waiting to try it out after the first service is over and the bike's washed. In the meanwhile, the dining table has to be polished to a shine.

I'll try and remain free on 23rd. If my coaching schedule permits. Can't go all the way to vizag though. Not even till the city limits. My petrol is still being funded by my parents.

                  • Disaster happened.
Today was tightening the bolts, saw a bit of oil residues on the sides of the oil filter cap on the engine side. Tried tightening it and then the screw broke into two, with a part inside the sleeve. What to do? As of now, oil is not leaking.
Riding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

See if you get the replacement from TVS or not. There is no need really to change front stock tires, they are good enough. For rear tire, you can take a call. MRF Revs is a good option. All soft compound tires like Pirelli would be puncture-magnets. MRF Revz is a better option i guess. When I asked a reputed tire dealer in Pune (Lokamanya Tires), he said Dunlop is better than MRF Revz in terms of grip. I don't know how true is it though.
Did tyre change this morning cause keeping bike at home was costing much more. Opted for for FZ front tyre cause of exact same profile and have heard it has good grip at least on FZ. However, right after change in tyre I feel bike inclines more towards left. Same is not the case with right. I am not sure and I need through inspection in all aspects here. More to follow tomorrow.

I did not wait for warranty check as keeping bike at home for 10 more days would have cost me a new tyre anyway (late night travels by rick is costly). Moreover I have already run for 10K Kms which I think is good mileage for TVS tyres (though I did not have much to complain about the front). Also I was looking for Pirelli both front and rear but dealer was too far and was not helping with tyre change so it sure would have costed 700 quids more. I am going to inquire about warranty of tyre with SVC anyway. Lets see if I win some bonus here.

By the way, any comment on white radium sticker on rim?

                              • Hello there guys
I had been searching a lot over the net about 200 NS watched many reviews comparisons between ktm & 200 ns

And now iam really very very confused that i should go with pulsar or ktm

KTM frankly is a bit costly here in mumbai on road its around 1.35 Lakh approx.

And pulsar 200 ns is 1 Lakh
Is the 35 K worth for buying ktm instead of Pulsar 200 ns

As the reviews by customers were also 60 yes 40 no for Pulsar 200 NS
                                & 80 yes & 20 no for KTM

                                What you guys say
There are many long term owners praising pulsar 200 ns but there are also long term owners who say that bike is not that fun , they say that u can see the cost cutting.... The engine vibes and random issues

Instead of ktm i found absolutely nothing that made me worry

Moreover iam a college going student and rarely have a pillion with me

Confusion satrted when i saw reviews by Overdrive & PTR as both of them had nothing for ktm duke but reported issues with pulsar like
                                1 Vibrations
                                2 plastic quality
                                3 no fuel injection
                                4 tyre problems
                                5 heavy handle bar

And yes i am considering ktm as its more stylish than pulsar but is it worth that 35 K premium price??

                                Please guide me... Thanks
