It's just sticker and the font makes it uber cool. I wondered, why they used the plastic logo instead of the sticker type used in FI.

I'd suggest those folks who are out of luck on the logo part, go to the SVC get the Pulsar 220 FI's tank decal and see what a difference it makes to the bike. Trust me it'd look even more cool, sexy than the plastic ones.

When the logo on my 220 gives up, three years still going strong, I will definitely revert to 220 Fi decals.

        Cheers!

Nope! P220 logo is not metallic, it's just a chrome finishing on plastic body and it peels off easily like P200ns logo.

        1. Comfort: I'm 6.2 feet tall and the R15 was never right for me.
        2. Mileage: Whats the milage like at normal speeds under 60 in the city?
        3. Quality: I've always preferred Honda and Yamaha because of their reputation of high quality, whats the word with this Pulsar, have they done it right?
        4. Could someone suggest a good Bajaj dealer in Chennai?
        5. Any other issues about the 200NS that I should know about?
Why, why P200ns? why not duke, cbr etc

i see that you never got my point.i never said anything about the performance part of the bike but only pertaining to the logo and its reflection on the brand itself.let me explain ....you will never see someone driving a bmw, audi or mercedes without a logo itself.i am sure they are satisfied with their performance but then they feel proud to flaunt the logo itself and if you know what i mean when these guys have their logos stolen in parking lots or broken they get mighty upset because a premium brand without a logo errrrr.when we buy a pair of nike or adidas we are very sure of the performance but are even more delighted to have the logo at a visually appealing place.so when we have bought the most premium product of bajaj and are its proud owners then it makes sense to get upset about these things as well.quality should have been there period.and no we dont mind replaing the logo at SVC if its covered by the company but if its expected to pay 800rs for them within 6 months of ownership then god help us all.i first thought that it was only with my bike but since i am seeing a couple of others as well then i know for a fact that quality has been compromised.if any more cases come up then i think we all should shoot a mail to BAL about the issue and hope that they improve on it for the future bikes.

This problem arises when the 1st model of P200 was launched and was my previous bike. You would have seen that time many bikes were run without logo that looks too ugly! Seriously they have to improve on atleast for a logo! Even logos on engine couldn't last for more than 5 months!

Whoa! You've taken a different turn than expected. Yes the there has been a compromise in the overall build quality and the logo being one of the areas.

But I am not debating the value of the logo at all. What I meant was strictly related to your comment that "logo represents the brand".
Taking your example, we find taxis and auto rickshaws having BMW, Audi and Merc logos on them for whatever reason, but does an Audi, BMW, Merc be any less of itself if its without a logo?? I guess not. The taxi guy may think that he's driving a BMW or riders with DUCATI logo on their bike might think they are riding one, but it does not lead to a conclusion that the (original) BMW/Merc/DUCATI is not itself. People will ogle at an original and mock a sticker clad duplicate.
When an Audi or a Ducati smokes the hell out of others...thats when when people say " Boss woh Audi/Ducati hai"
Similar is the case is with the P200NS...people will exclaim "Abey wo 200NS hai" when it performs like its meant to (and brings a big smile on the owner's face ).
And yes it looks ugly without a logo.

P.S. You forgot to mention Rolls Royce's symbol in your example, its the best I guess with an anti-theft feature

                  Hi Rajesh,

Just try taking the choke for 10 sec or less, if the problem still persists then the case might be that your bike is running Lean. Get the CO level checked. That will definitely help you.

Make sure that the RPM settles close to 1500 or a lil less because lesser than 1100 will make it sluggish.

oops its not me who has taken a different turn but rather your perception of the whole matter.first of all it seems that you never went through all of my posts from the beginning but rather barged into the middle of this one and picked out a few of my words "logo represents the brand" and twisted it out of proportion.did you first clarify if my statement was in totality or a rather strong reflection on the subject.now going by your logic i think brands like the merc, bmw and audi should stop putting so many of their logos on the cars and should leave it to the junta to decide for themselves the brand of the vehicle and its make by audio, visual and intellectual skills.i still wonder why so many big brands spend such huge sums of money on "building the brand, choosing the logo, advertising it all over and make it an insignia".by the same logic maybe people should buy nike and adidas without logos and rather wait for others to step into their shoes and find out for themselves.and if you are talking about our taxi drivers (all the posers that you meant) then i do understand this sort of infringement and misuse of logos as ours is a very "democratic " country and people choose to do what they wish (no offence to anyone) but i think when the same bikes are being sold by bajaj in the international market alongwith tall claims of a world class product then my concern kind of becomes very valid and important as people will not want to ride sans the logo.i do wonder why so many copyright battles have been fought just over the logo itself (e.g XEROX) .please google up words like "brands" and " logos" and their associations and interdependency and you will get a clear picture.in the end its always my opinion and dosen't necessarily have to be in line with others. ]

Had gone to get the registration of my bike as well as do a small photoshoot. Since the showroom is just 2km from my house and the intended place of photoshoot another 3 km, I didn't bother wearing my shoes. Big mistake! I encountered serious traffic on my way from the showroom to the photoshoot place and my feet (especially ankles) felt like they were on a barbeque grill. Is this normal? I know that LC bikes generally do this in heavy traffic, but this was really crazy. Lesson learned, I'm never riding without shoes even if it's for a 2km ride.

Anyway, here are pics from the shoot. Not really happy with them but they should suffice I guess.

Yes, that's me and my crappy helmet. I intend on getting an LS2 Phobia in the next couple of weeks and till that time, I'll manage with this one. Also looking on buying a DSG jacket next month.

There was an irritating sound coming and no one was able to fix it up including the free checkup camp guys. It increased with every passing kilometer. Finally I gave up on my patience and dropped the bike at Probiking, kothrud. Its then after 4 days of full on R&D, 2 Engineer visits they were able to trace out the problem. It was due to a play that got developed in the Piston & Crank. Even the timing chain sprocket had developed abnormalities i.e. got bent (I have no idea how that could happen. Never saw such a thing happen unless there was a physical exterior damage). So they are now replacing the entire engine.

They verified that run-in was done perfectly and no break-in was performed. Timely oil change was done and there was no engine oil leakages along with the verification of the heat sensor was in perfect condition were verified using records and the engineer stuff.
