yes the paint chips off, on the sides where you install the rim tapes.. to counter it why not actually install some rim tapes ? ez.
whoever is concerned about the wind blast or the bike tipping over during heavy crosswinds. as you ride more and more, you will totally get used to it.

On my way to Gurgaon yesterday I barely survived a headon collision man, absolutely not my fault lol. But it did give me a great impression of NS' terrific reliable brake system. A moron car driver deadstopped his vehicle on the highway, no one could see that coming. and I was doing over 80kmph maintaining few meters distance from him with a pillion behind. He stops his vehicle unpredicatably, steers slightly to the left like an idiot.. only to find there is no way to turn (he had thought there was a turn, hence the deadstop in the middle of highway), I applied front brakes alone (forgot to also apply rear/both brakes for quicker braking), tire screeches, for a second appeared like the the we're gonna collide, we were that close to the vehicle and thank god the bike stopped with surprisingly great response.. just few feet away from the car, really great response from the brakes there. then all the bikers behind us plus a 3-wheeler barely survive the collision with the idiot car themselves.. I realy shat my pants the moment the bike stopped.. cos I thought now somebody from behind was gonna smash into our bike. I couldn't understand though, applying front brakes hard is supposed to make u do sort of a stoppie, the rear should come off. Not that I would've preffered it there, it's just what should happen under hard front braking. Instead in my case the front tire screeched and the bike stops fast & in a more suitable way I guess. I wonder why.

        Phew..close call eh..?
Well, you had a pillion, lesser chance of the rear rising up.
Glad to hear all the motorist were able to stop in time.

For the rear to lift up on the application of front brake you should shift your weight towards the front and since you told that you had a pillion the chances of lifting your rear is pretty low. either the pillion should shift his or her weight towards the front by getting up slightly from the seat or your pillion should be light or u should be a stunter

            Hi friends,

It's been a while since I have written something here. Good to be back!!

I have a problem with excessive vibrations from the engine like never before. I had switched to Motul 7100 FS oil at around 5800 kms just before the 3rd service. The engine was super smooth for a few hundred kms. and then it went all harsh and vibrating while accelerating and while cruising. All this was during the peak of monsoon. And the 3rd service was not all that well.
Later, I switched back to Bajaj oil to see if 7100 was the culprit. Apparently not, the harshness and vibrations are still ever present.
Can any body help me out here?

I have lost my faith in the service centres in Trivandrum.
Your bike is a part of you....

              Hello All,

              I am from Bangalore. I own a Blue 200NS.

I have been facing with few problems recently:

1.After the 2nd Service I have been hearing a kat kat noise from the engine. It happens after riding for few kms. Went to Service center to get it fixed when I had covered 4500kms. Now my bike has clocked 16500kms. Recently visited a local mechanic to adjust the clutch play. He was saying the kat kat sound is from Engine Shaft, if you dont get it fixed now you have pay more than 8k to fix the engine. I called up Khivraj Motors Supervisor where I get my bike serviced and explained him what the local mechanic told me. He said we will get it rectified and we can claim insurance. Till today when ever I have told them, they say its normal. But i am afraid it may be a major issue.

              2. When I start the bike, I let it run in Idle for 2 Minute, however when I start riding the bike turns off suddenly as soon as the RPM needle reaches in between number 1.5 to 3 just to say.

              3. Gear shift from 1st to 2nd never shift. Its always false neutral.

              4. Throttle is tight - have replaced throttle cable still the same.

              5. LED on the right side doesnt work.

              6. Bike shakes even when I accidentally go across uneven roads like the sides of overlayed tar roads.

              Sorry for the long post.

Please suggest what I need to do.

BTW this is my Bike!! Have named him Hoonigan

Hey Guys..made a solo trip to Nandi hills yesterday on my NS.. the weather was conducive for the ride with overcast conditions. the hills were really misty which made the ride up really thrilling...
Clocked a top speed of 132 kmph while on my way back..got caught by the traffic police for over speeding... had to pay Rs 200 and got away..roundtrip distance was 120 kms from HBR layout (where i stay)...completed the entire trip in around 3 hours or so..
Uploading some pics for your viewing pleasure..only sad part of the trip - Fuking forgot to take the pic of my bike...

After replacing my tyres, am getting vibs at foot pegs...

Also my Mech did removed the caliper and clean them and also kept the right chain tight..

                  Still the problem is present...

Any possible way to get it fixed?

Alignment dude. Rear wheel is misaligned. Thats the cause for vibes in footpeg. Or if the tyre size is not stock, then check if its scrapping anywhere. 80% alignment, get it checked

Ya refitting does not correct allignment . He should check after adjusting the chain slack. Is he good?? If yes,ask him to check alignment tom or go to SVC and ask them to check.
