the gs was ultra refined and comfortable. I ride mostly in the city and now am planning to upgrade to an NS.
I just have a few queries,
      1. I heard that there are a lot of vibration problems in the ns (seat, handlebar, speedo) is it true? and if it is, then what is the solution for it??
      2. What is the mileage u get and what is the cost of servicing?
      3. Comfortable highway cruising speeds? and stability in the highways?
      1. Vibrations will be there throughout the run in period. If you have enough patients to see through the run in period and maintain the bike well I'm sure the bike won't disappoint you. Still there will be small vibrations which you wouldn't even notice
      2. I used to get 42-45kmpl now I get around 38-40(I ride it faster now and ride in the city more). Spares and service are cheaper with bajaj.
      3. I go to college through the highway (20 km one side), ns gearing is tall which aids in highway cruising but windblast will catch upto you at speeds grater than 110kmph since it is a naked bike, but still the bike is very much stable
Wake up, Ride, Eat, Ride, Sleep, REPEAT.....

My P200ns is just 45 days old....750km+ on odo and within a week or so of purchase, had rear break noise problem. Before 1st service, visited the SVC twice for same problem & after the repair within one or two days problem will re-appear!! Both the times I couldn't watch what they did. After repair, bike was noise free, but problem would come back in a day. Once took it to Auto Service on a weekend, they didn't repair as they were busy, but observed the wheel rotation & told it seems to be mis-alignment or bent disc. Since bike is under warranty, I took it to original SVC, Bannerghatta Road Popular Bajaj.

At last on 1st service last weekend went for 1st service & highlighted this issue again(3rd time!!). After service, bike was feeling very good to ride & probably smoothest to ride since I purchased. Within a day I observed rear-break was lacking bite & even one of my friend who has p150 felt same.
And noise problem came back with a vengeance it was hampering the free running of bike & it was so loud that on the road few people used to ask me what happened? there is something wrong, don't ride etc comments!!
Soooooo embarrassing, a new bike compensating for its weak horn thru unbearable disc break noise & everyone looking at me

Again I gave back to SVC on 18th evening. Got a first hand feel of how a busy SVC treats a annoyed customer
Total apathy towards our concerns & some usual talks. 3 days over & still its not solved.

From the start I had a doubt about wheel alignment/bend/disc damage as the noise was not coming for the entire rotation of wheel but at only one point. As I am technically qualified to diagnose & point it out, I took a video of wheel rotation. I could see its not rotating in straight axis. When showed this & told about, mechanic simply refused & told its problem with Break set only, almost all bike wheel won't revolve in straight axis, there will some minor variations!!
Some piston in break is rubbing disk, they need to replace it but don't have stock.............But still I'm not convinced. it seems they are hiding some problem.

SORRY for the long post...this is my first bike & biggest spend so far...so. 6 weeks of purchase, 4 visits to SVC & I'm sad
I would like to upload the video, so that I can get any of your suggestions, but don't know how to.
Tomorrow I want to escalate this matter. Please advise how can I proceed further.

If they have no idea about it... Just walk into Managers Room and show him the video of it or Yell at him...
or take it to a local mech shop and get it fixed...

They wont ever go with our words at all..

I spend 300rs on petrol to visit them 3 times. and i spent just only 100rs to get it fixed by a local mech...

This the exact issue I faced in beginning at starting I got disc and calipers repalced under warranty after heated argument and a Complaint to bajaj customer service!!
In my case customer service where quick to respond to my issue!!
But the alignment issue was sorted by local mechanic.... I would also suggest as bondarun said to get it fixed from a local mechanic!!

            Hey guys!
I'm a newbie to xbhp and a rookie in the biking world.
I purchased the beast in black last week.
Till date I have clocked 370kms on odo and have gone as fast as 120kmph on 8k rpm. I'm getting mileage of 42kmpl.
All I need are some tips, advices, suggestions etc for optimum health of the bike.
            Guys pls help!

After 4 days, my bike is back
While replying to customer service feedback form mail, I sent the youtube link for video recording of my bike & asked the service manager to give his reply & observation, diagnosis of problem thru mail so that I can contact manufacturer. And asked his justification for taking 4 service visits & last 4 days in SVC to solve a problem in new bike. Even though he didn't reply, morning I got call from him, later from Service engineer & by evening it was ready.
I asked them to clarify exact issue..again piston this-that-blah-blah-blah!!
Later he said he replaced Disc & it was mentioned in service report too!!
The rear brake bite is better than ever now. Hoping problem won't come back.
When I was at SVC, rode another 1000km old P200ns, it was so smooth & now I know the fun I was missing Next time if I come across any P200ns owner, I want to let him ride my bike for a while & want to know if its ok.
All this time they were citing problem with Piston but how come they replace Disc break after I sent mail, video & mentioned about Bajaj. While I was having a discussion with manager decently, he was saying even if I inform bajaj, finally i've to come back to that SVC!!

                2. I had got 38-39 while harsh riding & above 40 on normal commuting.
                3. Not at all stable above 110 KM/hr. The wind blast will throw you away.

The last part is true. If you didn't want high RPM power & cornering stability; 220 is the best in all means

Got a chance to properly drag-test my Joel'ed undergeared NS with a stock one. Results are mind-blowing. Nearly 4-5 bike lengths' difference at 60 km/h and much more at 100 km/h. Maybe my NS now takes 8.xx seconds to 100 km/h.

But right now I have these following issues.
                    1. HID has burned out.
                    2. Gear shifter is loose.
                    3. Neutral light is not working.
                    4. Some kind of squeaky sounds from the front suspension or tank extension on the left when the bike goes into potholes or on speed breakers.
                    5. A small layer of froth on oil after a hard ride session (I use motul 7100 and is 2.8k kms old.)
                    6. Today the engine didn't crank once. Gave it a push start and it ran for nearly 8 kms after which I tried cranking and it worked.

I disagree. Maybe 220 is more stable at high speeds thanks to it's weight. But an NS rider can do 120 km/h for a long duration without getting "thrown away". Cruising at 125 km/h speedo indicated is pretty good. The stability goes for a toss above 130-135 km/h speedo indicated and the rider needs to grip hard on the handlebars and tank.

Installed LEDs two days ago. From a local auto shop for just 140r for a pair. Bajaj should provide LEDs as stock. This improves look of NS. Stock bulb got fused so I have to change it any how.

Had a ride around 200kms with loose chain. Cleaned the chain using diesel and I think this resulted in chain loose. Bike is smooth but chain makes noise on every pothole and while changing gears. Now little bit worried if this may result in chain or sprocket damage? Will get it tightened tomorrow at SVC.

By the way, can anyone tell me how accurate NS Speedo is??

Froth?? You mean milky substance floating over oil?? If yes, you have a blown gasket and coolant is entering into engine oil bay..

the choice isn't that difficult if u realize what ur looking for, does the 200NS look better to you or the 220 does ? Both bikes will put a smile on ur face in the end. the minor difference in power delivery in both bikes does not make any real difference in daily rides. But the addition of a 6th gear in NS is said to help it cruise better on the highway, while 220 comes with the semi fairings that help it in high speed stability and some wind resistance. Simply put, 220 is abit outdated in terms of tech like chasis, triple spark tech, missing 6th gear, overall ride feel. Bajaj hasn't updated the model in any way. Otherwise the choice between 200NS and 220 would be very easy (220), unless someone wants the killer street fighter looks of the NS. Still whichever bike you end up getting won't disappoint you today

What is your opinion after test ride?
                                Both are very different
                                1. Look - Your choice. Personally I didn't like NS's design
                                2. Power (road performance) - @ higher speeds NS is the King. 80+ acceleration is far better than 220
                                3. Suspension - 220's very smoother than NS's
                                4. Handling - NS clearly wins. controlling through of roads, potholes and cornering
                                5. Engine Smoothness (refinement & vibes) - 220 is vibe free @ lower RPMs
                                6. Head Lights - I don't like projector head lights
                                7. Braking - NS is the winner.
                                8. Drive chain sound is very less in 220 (after chain cleaning & lubing)
                                9. NS has more turning radius than 220
                                10. Fuel mileage - we are getting the same
                                11. I will not suggest NS, If you are below 5.5Ft height.
                                12. NS has very bad low end torque. need more gear changing than 220

Cruising at 125 km/h speedo indicated is pretty good. The stability goes for a toss above 130-135 km/h speedo indicated and the rider needs to grip hard on the handlebars and tank.

I had used as a phrase & SriKi.GSpian understood it

I had touched 145 many times on my bike(full speed of my bike). but 120+ speed is terrific.... (at least in our area)

I am not comparing with 220. Personally I hadn't done above 110 KMPh in any 220 yet . Because I am not owing it. How could I rode a friend's bike @ that speed

Me too on white led. But I think stock bulbs are more beautiful than white. I just changed for a "Change"
I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time
