The issues that I face are mostly from the engine. My bike is almost a year old and has seen only 7000 kms of roads. Yet its engine is behaving like some old crap engine. The svc guys really goofed up the engine in the 3rd service.

The svc guys say 'its common for 200NS' when we talk about problems and if there is a severe problem they say 'some bikes might give some problems, so its difficult to rectify'. Its a pain in the ass to make them understand what kind of a issue the bike has. Its as if my 95k rupees I spent for this bike means nothing.

Motul 7100 really made a difference. I would vouch for Motul any day.
And then there is a unique problem of engine 'rolling over' between 3500 and 4000 rpm while in 2nd and 3rd gears. Shuddering while accelerating. Harshness etc. God knows who can rectify that.

I was starting to really enjoying my bike and thats when the 3rd service wrecked by bike.
Even i have switched to Motul 7100 20W50 last week. It was the first paid service. And totally agree with you that the NS is liking the Motul very much i will stick to this oil for some time now. Though i must say that the SVC charges at the price mentioned on the box which is Rs.775 a litre next time i shall buy one on my own and take along.

I think most of the engine problems are related to either bad carb setup or AFR mixture which is a pretty hard thing to setup and should be done by someone who knows them pretty well. Once that is sorted out then half the problems will be over.

At my first service I had used Bajaj Oil, had problems with gear shifting, excessive vibrations etc.. I guess the new engine really didn't like the Bajaj Oil in that phase. then I had switched to Motul 5100 at my 2nd service, great results. For testing purpose I switched back to Bajaj oil at 3rd service, and I've done over 2k kms on it and I have to say, it's not that bad. The only problem is that it's also sold at an expensive rate imo while it's got such a bad reputation. 1ltr bottle of Motul 5100 costs about Rs 500 and they charge around Rs450 for 1.2ltr of their Oil right ? Engine currrently running on Bajaj Oil always felt to rev up quicker than it did on Motul 5100, Still I'm simply going for Motul 5100 next month as my first paid service approaches. Easy and reliable. Sunil where'd u get your bike serviced ? Deewan Bajaj ? They don't whine about warranty issues if NS'ians ask for Motul oil to be used ? One can always convince those guys but i'd be easier if they could just comply without the drama.

I got my bike serviced from Dewan Bajaj, Okhla. Those guys are pretty happy with customers opting for Motul. Infact i was offered Motul at the first service itself.

I've been constatly losing air pressure in my front tire... Anybody with any possible reasons why that could be happening? I've checked with a puncture guy and he says losing 2-4 psi in a day is usual but the bike feels weird
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

No its not usual . There's a leak definately. My tire pressure needs to be re adjusted once in 3 weeks or so

I completely agree.NS has a wonderful engine and the majority of the problems are faced by those users whose NS has a bad carb setup. When I first got the bike from the showroom , I didn't know that the svc guys have not tuned the carb properly. When I did some research after 700k on the odo, and tuned the carb myself, I was surprised at tge performance increase, and even the vibrations lowered, god knows how.

What was your carb setting? and is there any mileage drop???

I heard that our NS carry the same carb that come with older P180 and 200..

My Mech did a carb setting and everything was fine.. later it started to vib again...
Now my bike is kinda harsh and power lose in 3~4k rpm range... its like bike is out of fuel at tat range...

Basically I tuned the cab via afr screw.Out of the showroom the vibrations were more and power was less and exhaust note was also a bit unpleasant. I found that engine was running lean.So I made the moxture rich, and found that everything settled into a refined and powerful scenario.

And in your case vibrations coming back again is another proof that a badly tuned carb causes more overall vibration bcoz of the engine

                      True that ...
If you are not satisfied by setting done by mechanic try to play around with afr!
Try out different settings and note the mileage as well as vibs! With this you will come to know a prefect setting for you bike!!
And one thing I have noticed is that if run on lean mixture then vibes are more!!

Yes I have noticed that too, the leaner the mixture, more are the vibration.

                          Need help guys!
During the first service, do bajaj svc guys provide us with an option of engine oils for replacement?
If not, is the bajaj dtsi 10000 engine oil worth the bike?
And I would also like to know the best lube for the chain?

                          Thank you!

                              Guys a small help...

I had some oil leak on top of the engine, where the Right side slave plug is present...
Got it fixed by applying some glue or something which the SVC ppl did... They removed the Tank and opened the Top of the engine and applied something in the corner and placed it back in... Now the oil leak has gone...

But a New Problem raised from no where

Bike kinda lost its power, sometime i can feel the bikes power and sometime its like running out of fuel...
even in reserve it behaves like bike is going to stop without fuel...

can someone help me out on this?

                              seriously its pissing me off..

You might be running lean.Try playing qith the afr screw , that might work.
