hey guys. i own pulsar 200ns 2 months old...surely its the best pulsar but have few quality issues...
1..paint coming of the fuel cap...really embarrasing..
    2. pulsar logo cracking......'pulsar' almost became 'ulsar' . feviquick helped...

went to service station and luckily found some one from bajaj and he assured both things will be changed under warranty and a report was be sent to bajaj..

otherthan that engine is a gem and its a head turner. i love riding it

I bought my NS on 3rd Nov and covered 1100 km so far with 250 km in one day twice. I am very much impressed with this awesome machine.
      My personal observations.

So far i have learned that this bike hates to be in low rpm and at low speeds especially during initial break in.
Ns loves hard revving and engine never feels stressed.
      80-90 km/h is a cake walk.
Bike is adequately powered and just twisting the throttle is enough for overtaking.
Previously there were vibrations on the rider seat in 1sT and 2nd gear but after revving the bike hard the vibes were gone.
Similarly there was harshness in the engine at low rpms which went away when i changed the engine oil at 200 km. Now the engine is getting more and more smooth as i am revving it hard ( not crossing 8k rpm).
I am getting a fuel economy of 38 km/lt with lot of hill riding at 60-75 km/h speeds.
There are no vibes on the rider foot pegs, but pillion foot pegs has slight vibes ( nothing annoying ).
There are minute vibrations on the handlebar at 4-5k rpm but it is hardly noticeable to me.
One minute glitch my bike has is the noise coming from rear disc brake but it is not affecting the performance as i checked the rear disc pad multiple times and it was never hot if not used.
Instrument console is very good and looks cool and distinct.
Blue is my favorite led color and that blue backlite switches are damn cool.
The grip of tyres is adequate for cornering but it is not good for panic braking and the tyre skids during harsh braking.
This bike loves cornering and really forgiving to the riders like me who are learning to tackle sharp corners.
      Tyres feel sticky during cornering.
      Now ,pics pics pics.

Overall the bike is awesome with brute acceleration, very good handling and braking. I am loving this pulsar.

Have been in bed from 3 days ,haven't seen my baby ,it just stands inside cover,I don't know the extend to.which my bike has been damaged ,I'm literally crying inside as it's my first bike and my first accident and it has been 4 months only since the affair started, all I know that leg guards are gone and there is a big scratch upon headlight assembly red colour(it's killing me slowly) ,
You wanna know hoe much I care about my bike...? Just after accident ,I ran straight forward to my svc, there was blood coming out from my hands ,the dealer saw this and forced Me to hospital and I was like please check.my bike first ,I'm fine don't worry ,that's the limit of my love towards my bike ,
Now I lay helpless on my bed ,I cannot ride until a week or something ,my love`s fate is still undecided,
I will visit svc on Wednesday for second service as well as after accident checkup and I'm ready to pay whatever it takes to bring my love back ( loowise MOSTLY)

          Hello Guys,
Need suggestions on a couple of issues:

          1. My bike is now 1yr 4months old.... and seems to have lost it juice... at times it even cannot keep up with a 150cc discover or a unicorn.... pretty embarrassing!
I have shown it at the SVC a lot of times.... everytime they fiddle with the AFR screw and tell it is fixed.... I do not think that is the problem....

          2. At times when on higher rpm I would have to hold the clutch(at high speed if I have to brake all of a sudden), the engine shuts off.... this is pretty risky and at times scary because I will not be able to do anything with the engine off.....

I somehow feel the above two issues could be related. Any ideas to improve the situation?

I am guessing it is either the spark plugs (or) the air filter (or) the AFR setting

Could you please let me know where could I pick up a set of NGK Iridium Spark plugs in Bangalore?

Ask them to check for Valve Adjustment.
Also Change your Spark Plugs, as default one wears out in 10k kms...
Its good to go for Iridium plugs.
Replace the Air Filter if not done Recently.

            Use Motul engine oil...

Check your clutch. Plates may be worn or cable may be too tight.

I am guessing its either the spark plugs or the carb, which has a problem, try turning the afr screw a couple of time anti clock wise and then check the performance, if not turn it clock wise again and ask a good mechanic to look at your carb and spark plugs. You might be running on lean mixture which has taken a toll on your spark plugs

How many km have you done ? It may be carb diphragm.

I test drove my bike n gave back since they didnt repair it2. on 20th- they said the bike is repaired, I went to SVC n test drove. Still no!! 3. 21st, ie today- they removed fork n check the alignment n gave my bike back saying its repaired. Still the problem exists. Also tried removing front wheel(alloy+wheel) n replacing from another NS. Problem still exist4. they narrowed the problem to rear alloy. They said to come tomorrow ie 22nd, they will try replacing rear wheel n check the problem exists or not.The service head is a good man. He bared with me with all problems, but all others are intolerant foolsHoping tomorrow would be a good day n I get back my NS problem free
brother recently just after 3rd service of my bike when i rode it back home i felt it as if its pishing itself towards left so the very next day i took it to the svc and described the issue to them after that the person who done the servicing of my bike took it and came back and said it was a minor alligment problem ..so brother take it to a good svc and get it checked properly...every thing will fine buddy...

I have been doing a lot of search for change of tyres and I have come to following conclusion:-
                            1. Rear tyre- mrf revz(ri5 v2)
                            2. Front tyre- Michelin m45(not sure about the exact model)

PSD not recommended as many riders have told that they are only good for 2-3k. After that they loose grip like anything.
Yet to get a bad report on mrf revz, safest & best option.

Hello all 200NS owners, as usual have some creative ideas for your NS . . . I was just coming out of Woodland's showroom some time back now and just as we came out, I saw a 200NS fitted with a flying mudguard or raised front fender, it was looking good and unique, I couldn't ask the guy about the mod and he just went off, so now I can give you a picture illustration of how it looked,

Warning: Please bare with me, I'm worst at drawing . . .

Please don't troll me looking at this pic as I said I'm bad in drawing. . .

Ok now this is something like how it looked, the stock fender wasn't there and the raised one was short, I guess you can try out either Hero Impulse or KTM D200's (not the stock but you get it as a power part mod for D200). . . See if anyone is interested in something like this, would like good and attractive and also unique . . .
                              @Aditya N Bharadwaj what you say Dawg . . ?

EDIT: He had no mirrors and also the front number plate was not there, he had written it on the visor, really loved the looks of it . . .

                                Hi,

Took delivery of Pulsar 200NS on 18thNOTE:
Sizing up the Tyres will give you better handling n better cornering ability. Just make sure it doesn't touch the chain guard

Wow u will 2.2k for Euro-grips??? U mean 2.2k for both tyres or the rear tyre? I got 1.3k for rear (400kms) n my friend got 1.4k (200kms)

From last week onwards I installed MRF RevZ S, didnt change the front tyre though. Driven 400kms in it, now odo reading 800kms
Well, I gotta say its far faar better than stock, gives you peace of mind on hard braking

My friend went for Ceat Vertigo Tyre- 120/80 section. It looks like 130. Now riding the bike is like a dream, its absorbing all bumps n potholes.
Con- cant attack corners, well he don't mind that, as he never takes on Knee-dropping Corners

Il say Going for MRF Rev zS is the best option. Bang for the buck. I bought it for 2.6k

P.S Dont know much about front tyres, As I find there is no need to upgrade it.
