Who has clocked most km on pulsar 200ns. ..? Just wanna know the ultimate reliability. .(curious but positive)
My scenario is that I drive 500km per month and I have to maintain ns for 4 years only ,after that will go for Ducati monster 795 ( already saved 90k in SA for that) any suggestions

First try to get it washed by washing wala. pressure water will do it.
if still persist then ask your SVC to service your rear disc.
Actually what happens, most of the SVC don't service Disc set up if it's not asked or not opened for pad change. This leads dust to accumulate and make sound. INMO this is because dust resists the free mechanism of the Disc Break. Cleaning helps it keep healthy condition.

hi,this pulsar 200ns can easily cover 4 years with little care....because it have 80% engine of duke 200...only the combustion chamber where is spark plug located(3 spark plug) is made by bajaj for better mileage and little bit for performance as compared to single plug bikes.it gives mileage of 25-50kmp/l according to u r riding style .i my self extract almost 50kmp/l mileage from my ns (shifting all the gears between 3.5-4000 rpm and maintain the top speed below 50kmph.this is a ultimate product by bajaj bike in the competition.
        1.it will give u class leading performance(except duke 200).
2.it will give u unbeleiable mileage of 50kmpl if u r maintain speed below 50kmph in top gear.
this bike is highly value for money ..so go ahead and buy it ...u r really enjoy it's power if u always take it to above 8000 rpm and there is no strain on the engine department even near the red line.....

Would really like to know what the condition of your bike will be within one year. To be specific the condition of the rings and the cylinder walls.

lol you got me wrong bro I ain't buying ,I already have a 200 ns(and r15 v2) 1900 kms done ,and I don't need theoretical knowledge, I want a realistic experience ,and I know it will last awesome as I didn't followed run in ,I am redlining the bike the day I got it ,don't have a fuss for mileage and my ns never showed any typical bajaj signs ,and don't care that much about bike ,as I will be upgrading to Ducati in 2017-2018
I'm getting 28kmpl and I'm happy with it.

It all depends on how well you maintain it,

as to the previous member, I can't imagine the state of the bikes engine in a few months , if you are really riding as you said you are.

can u tell me how much rpm your bike gets to when its idle while it becomes hot..?
because my bike goes to 1900-2100 rpm when it gets hot.

Is riding below 4k rpm not good for engine? I am riding it below 4k rpm and my odo read 1400 km.

It is very good ,but take care that engine doesn't lugs, and try going up now ,u brought a 200cc bike ,not a splendor, try going up to 6k (That means 92 km/hr) but don't go there fast reviving engine ,try slowly

This smells will be very edgey ( thiki in hindi) it's not problem ,it will go after 700kms or something, just keep an eye that nothing is leaking

Idle rpm has 2 settings, for cold engine and for hot engine. So in your case for a hot engine it is currently at 2100rpm. Which is a tad more than what is needed i think.

Its not that riding below is not good, as long as you are in the right gear it's not a problem, bottom line is don't cause the bike to knock or lug because you are under 4 rpm and in the wrong gear. That is recipe for disaster.
But still apart from crawling traffic, riding below 3k rpm is a tough task.

And always ride within your limit , if you are not used to riding in high revs, take it easy and slowly get there. There is no rush.
