Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My budget is 1 lakh, so I can go to ns. Then about my accident, here I go again... My native is 100km away from Bangalore and I'm currently working in SAP LABS in Bangalore. So I've to.stay in Bangalore. I've habit of going to native every weekend in bike. It's Bangalore to Chennai national highway. On November 16, 2013, I was returning from my native to Bangalore as my shift starts from 17:30. I was away around 30km from native and was driving constantly at 120kmph speed so I sticked to right lane. The road is like C shaped curve. At some point of time I tried to shift from right lane to left lane with indicator switched on a Tata sumo hit my bike. Fortunately I was able to jump from the bike but the bike was underneath the Tata sumo.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostAt 1 lac, there is so competition to Ns,so if your budget allows ns, buy it, no comparison with another bike as per cost and performance.
Btw, can you tell more about accident of yours and pics too if you have, I would like to now.
I'm sorry, I'm trying to upload pics but I'm unable to do so

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have it on my NS & I am pretty happy with it.The grip is good & the stability at high speeds is very impressive because the tyre is made to offer good grip even at 210 kph , so 100-150 is a walk in the park. Also the bike doesn't feel that bumpy with this tyre which is nice for comfort.Originally posted by niladri View PostTo Hi! Today I saw the "Ceat Zoom XL" in a couple of tyre shops in Mysore. Its specifications are 140/70 17 and is a H rated tyre. The picture I have attached is for reference of the groove. The real one's groove looks the same but the name is "ZOOM XL" and not Dhoom. It says the top speed is 210 km/h. It is priced at Rs. 3200 in Mysore.
It would be great if any member can throw some light into how good the tyre is. Thank you.
You can check the pictures on one of the previous pages.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey Friends
I was just browsing internet casually and reading bike related articles got to know about Daytona Kit for Yamaha R15. I was aware about that earlier also but no knowledge about what eaxctly are the mods done to bike by Daytona Kit.
What came in my mind is that if we can use a few parts of Daytona Kit in our NS modification. I don't know anything technically but want some mods in my bike.
Kindly suggest and share your views too.2012 till Now - Pulsar 200 NS

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey everyone!
This is my first post here, though I've been lurking these pages for quiet some time now
.
I will be booking my NS today from RV Bajaj main showroom (Mysore road,Bangalore), I wanted to know what I should check for before the delivery.
This will be the first bike I buy, I've been riding an R15 for the past 2 years but that was "inherited" from my cousin.
I've looked around the internet and found a 'checklist' which I've decided to follow
What to check (PDI list) before you take delivery of your bike / motorcycle | Nex Gen Bikes
Are there any NS specific things I should look for at the time of delivery? or will the above list suffice?
Also, what is the general ODO reading at the time of delivery?Last edited by ledz3pp; 01-16-2014, 06:59 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
ride the bike before accepting it...check if it goes in straight line without holding handle (at slow speeds ofcourse)
look closely at engine area, i rejected one during PDI, coz it had oil leakage kind of marks..
rev the bike to 5-6K rpm at standstill and check the vibrations --from all panels and engine etc.
check engine oil, coolant etc..ask them to lube the chain with a chain spray after thouroghly washing the bike.
odometer should not be more than 10 kms or so.
check the body for scratches loose bolts etc..

If you have a skinny pillion,NS is the choice, try to get pillion seat foam covered,I heard it helps.Originally posted by deep007 View Postguys, i am planing to go Ludhiana to Dalhousie on bikes.

Proper gear for riding is must.Check engine oil, tire pressure, coolant level, drive chain lubrication.
Other than that, you are good to go.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks a lot guys.
Finally booked it, the ODO reading was 3km.
Will be getting the delivery tomorrow evening. The bike did not have any fuel inside so the sales guy told me not to rev the bike. I did not test ride the bike
, checked all the other things and told him to go ahead and note down the chassis and engine number.
Hope me not test riding the bike, won't come back and bite me in the as s, other than that the bike was in perfect condition.
Can't wait to get my hands on it

plz suggest what best can be done in this case. I tried to google Eurogrip dealers but couldnt find even a single. Suggest that one also. When my faulty tyre was replaced then TVS gave me the new brand tyre itself...Originally posted by niladri View PostTo Hi! TVS distributor said that they are now supplying this tyre to Honda now (it has same rating as that of 200NS).
