Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Need help urgent guys. I know mixing two different grade of oils is not advisable but..
Right now I can't find any 20w50 motul in my city. One shop has only 1 5100 15w50 grade bottle left And I have half bottle of Motul 3100 20w50 left with me. I need to change the engine oil as I have to go for some 250kms trip. Can I mix them for my NS??

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
^^false neutrals are there off and on especially upshifting from 1-N-2 plus downshifting from top gears to lowers gears shedding speed quickly can make the NS slot gears not so accurately.
Blipping the throttle while downshifting helps to an eextent but bike may be in a mood of its own....often termed as "character"
Recently switched from bajaj oil to entry level Motul 3000 15w50 and that has helped tackle these above issues somewhat.
Trust me I didnt get a lemon, have met, heard and read about similar problems from others....SVC also quitely accepts the same.
Again dont get me wrong...these are niggles and should not let you stop from getting NS and I believe after a few more km's I will have a riding pattern/style that'll be best suited to NS
Now, can somoeone confifm if changing the levers can help tackle these issues further ???
****** OT ******
Also, have issues like the fuel reading is inaccurate, the reserve led comes on and off erratically when left with 1/4 tank of fuel
Side stand warning light is also not very accurate
Anyone else facing similar issues ??

Here you go. The clamps i got made for addtional safety, so that the carb doesnt slips from the engine from addtional weight of the filter.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes I want to but right now Bajaj DTSI is inside the engine with already 2500+ kms. Bike feels full of vibs with this at now. Though I will try to find some similer grade 20w50Originally posted by Cleaner View PostBetter ride 250 kms without changing oil than mixing different grade of oil.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I've always wondered about the Bajaj DTSI oil, why is it hated by people so much? I have done a little experiment on it which I can not claim was 100% scientific, it was more of a psychological experiment, if you guys interested, I can post.
My sister has access to a fully equipped chemical lab, I am planning to ask her to analyze this Bajaj oil.I am back!

I know that feeling bro,Originally posted by abhiwltya View PostChanged the oil from stock to motul 3100 gold, and my oh my. First thought was that the ride haven't been this smoother. The vibrations just disappeared. No gear slips, no false neutrals. The gear shifts feel much more solid.
Second thought was that why the hell bajaj guys cannot provide a better oil if it makes so much difference.
. one cannot appreciate the real feel of NS until the oil upgrade.

I had my exposure to motul few days back and now, I don't care even if my warranty gets cancelled or other shit. I'm NIT putting up that crap dtsi ever again in my bike.
Regarding false neutrals,YES THEY ARE PRESENT In Every Ns.
On dtsi, I used to hit a false neutral in every 15 time gear shifts between 1-2-N
Now on motul, I'm still get false neutral but only one in 30-40 gear shifts time.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I seriously suggest you do.Both are good, just dont go for 7100 until your odo is 8k-9k kms. Between 3100 gold and 5100, 5100 is definately a notch better in terms of high rpm wear protection as people suggest. But in my city, only 3100 gold was availableOriginally posted by skv View PostI am also going for motul on next change. Which would be better 3100 gold or 5100?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I had applied for membership to this forum since i bought my bike...finally i have got it , so here's the first servicing expenditure Photo . Everything is regular only addition is the main stand .
hope you are able to see it coz they used 1980's Dot Matrix printers :P which took them 5 mins to print 2 sheets of paper ... Anyways i had my exams and as i learned driving after purchasing the bike the odometer is just 90kms at 1st servicing done on 21st November 2013 . Purchased on 10th October 2013 for 99,300 on road everything included except delivery which was free , but on that day the delivery guy wasn't available [ plus gliders (motocross style ) helmet with number chain lock totaling 1,500]
Had to go through a lot of trouble for acquiring Red colour 200ns , got a call from the dealer Shreeram Bajaj Thane after 15 days that the company has stopped production of red colour and i'll have to choose a different colour or take my money back . On complaining to the call center i got a call the next day that my bike is ready :P . I took delivery 3 days after that when i got the permanent number from Thane rto .
I am getting an average of 36.5 kmpl , tested using the formula given in user manual . i'll get more upto 40 maybe if i drive at 50 instead of 85-100 on highway which isn't happening
. I feel the front of my bike vibrating even at 40kms but it isnt much of a problem . Overall m quite happy
. attached images of my 1st servicing bill .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello guys...
It has been a wonderful experience with you all and xbhp,
I've learned a lot of things and got to know a lot of good personalities here...
But I've realised that internet is becoming a hurdle in my studies, in achieving my goals,,,
So I've initiated the process which you may know as " going off the grid"
This may be my last post on xbhp
In future, maybe when I'll be having internet, I may reply, revisit this wonderful community again on monthly basis.
So wanted to wish you all a great journey ahead and lots of luck with your ride.
SORRY if I hurted any of you, please forgive it as of my childless. ..
And I'm truly grateful to you all for helping me out.
Maybe we meet/interact in future, when I've achieved my goals on the same manner that we all are used to do right now,
For the Time's sake goodbye to you all great mind and souls..

Best of luck for your future and endeavours...
