Edit-just wanted to ask something, I know use of headphones while riding is a bad thing, but I always listen to songs at very low audible sounds in city riding , will it be safe/workable to listen songs while doing 200km NH streches. ..?

This thread is still in the Ownership Experience, I have no idea how you saw it move to the Universal Threads all of a sudden. Strange! But if you see any discrepancies in thread titles or section, kindly PM the mods.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postguys.. why is this thread moved to "universal threads" section ..?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Not at all happy with bajaj service in Chennai Sembakkam area. There is huge communication gap as they dont speak hindi/english and i dont knw Tamil.
M struggling with rear disk brake noise since i bought this beauty and now there is sound coming from front disk as well. Front disk makes really intresting sound BTW, its like some Radar Or Sonar device, small beeps kind of noise and it goes off if i apply the brakes.
Have this saturday working so will have to wait till next Satruday to get this fixed. (If only they admit that there is at all a problem

First of all, DONT PANIC ...Originally posted by Rex2688 View PostHey guyz need URGENT HELP, today on 15 jan i raced my by bike till 114KM/PH on 6th gear extremely also touched 10k RPM rode it for 5-6 minutes with varying speed(Not Constant 114 but above 75 KM/PH) also my main tank got empty before stopping my bike just a bite ahead & when i stopped huge white smoke started coming out from engine area till 3 minutes, REAR DISK smelled like burned rubber and was too hot. all this happened at 9 pm. before this incident bike was perfect, i also gave 5 min brake before to touch 114km/ph. i have 5-6 times got my bike to 100 km/ph COOLANT is just below the max AND OIL LEVEL is above the max .appox-1.3 litre. this bike is made to do things like you did one time on a daily basis, so you did no harm to bike (as far as shifting, riding style of yours is good)
Second, oil level above max..? A BIG NO ,mine oil used to spill from oil filter cap and drop upon muffler. As your bike OIL IS ABOVE MAX and you rode at full intensity, maybe your engine oil got spilled and on hot muffler or exhaust, burning made a white smoke, OR maybe your some petrol reached the exhaust UNBURNED and produced that white smoke.
Remedies, clean your bike from the engine bottom, bring your oil level to normal, ride in usual way, check if any smoke comes out ,if not then ride aggressively, check again, if problem persists, visit svc.
About REAR DISC HOTNESS, the position of right foot is very uncomfortable as per braking system, usually our ankle goes at an angle, thus pressing brake lever a little bit by default by which a little braking comes into play which you don't notice until you smell burn from rear or touch REAR disc
REMEDIES try to keep check on position of your do it upon rear brake lever, get your braking lever play increased a little bit (means adjust lever so that you need to tilt your foot more to brake) ,or you can even get your lever adjusted at an angle, though I will advise to follow first and second only.Last edited by Anuj_Gupta; 01-16-2014, 12:58 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
1. Vibrations, a little bit more than Honda and yamahas, but Definitely A Lot less than tvs. Vibes are there due to crappy bajaj dtsi oil. Use motul and see the heavenly difference.Originally posted by Goutham Ks View PostHo friends, I'm going to buy pulsar 200 NS but I want to know pros and cons of the bike. 2.Road grip, depends upon tyres in any bike, if you ride normally, don't do cornering and brake effectively, stock tyres are good, if you're opposite of what I described above CHANGE REAR TYRE AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, by this you will get max resale value of your tyres, you can go rear tyre of r15 v2 ,it's value for money as far as I know.
3. Sound of engine, depends upon how to do RUN IN ,how you handle/ take care of your bike and it's needs and which oil you use and how frequently you change it as per schedule,.but one thing, exhaust sound of Ns is more awesome than Duke.
4. Treat her like a lady and she will treat you like a man. That's all I cam say

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
thanks for reply bro, wanted to share these things too- 1>after the smoke situation i let the bike cooldown for 10 minutes and went to fill gas, rode for 5 kms bike was normal with no overheating.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostFirst of all, DONT PANIC ...

2> by white smoke i meant that it was vapours of air coming from side panel of bike from left side & there was no oil spill and no radiater fan working nor high coolant temp indicator.also the white smoke vapours started when i stopped the bike after riding.
will check tommorow & also a visit to svc

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Just three months ago I bought a new tvs apache rtr 180 abs but met with an accident within a month and bike was totally crashed out. Now my insurance was claimed and I'm planning to buy a bike so there are mixed opinions from different riders about pulsar 200 ns. So I want to make sure it's uppity my expectation because I was not happy with my apache bike because of its tyre size so now I don't want to waste the money without knowing the bike's pros and cons.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View Post1. At 1 lac, there is so competition to Ns,so if your budget allows ns, buy it, no comparison with another bike as per cost and performance.Originally posted by Goutham Ks View PostJust three months ago I bought a new tvs apache rtr 180 abs but met with an accident within a month and bike was totally crashed out.
