NS requires atleast 1.2 ltr of oil at every oil change. Buy another bottle of 300V.

How is that possible? I had the 115 main jet removed right in front of my eyes at race concepts. My UCAL 33 is running a 117.5 main jet now.

The list has many wrong info in it, but the jet sizes for 200NS are correct. I personally went to the showroom today and verified at the spares section.

From which bike did you get the 117.5 jet from? Pilot is same or you have changed it too?

What are you saying? Go to a svc and check.I went today only to get a upsized main jet at svc. They confirmed NS jet sizes. And asked me to check in a few days for a spare jet as at that time they only had the full carb of 220.

I have no idea from which bike. The work was done at Race Concepts. Only main jet was changed to compensate for the flow characteristics of the polished head and stock replacement filter.

Mate I have a pic of the main jet with me. It clearly has 115 marked on it. I'll upload it from my lappy soon. Unable to do so on phone.

Race Concepts, lol there is your problem. "Stock replacement" filter does not need upjetting, one only needs to set the AFR again. BTW who makes stock replacement air filters for Pulsar 200NS? I mailed K&N, they said they do not manufacture "stock replacement" air filters for Pulsar 200NS.

There is no official stock replacement for the 200NS from any brand yet. However, the N250's airbox is nearly the same size as that of NS so a stock replacement filter of N250 will be good enough for NS, provided the air box is cut properly to make it fit. I'm running a simota. Of course, I know stock replacement ones need no jetting. But the ports have been polished and owing to the new flow characteristics, a slightly bigger jet was installed.
I'm happy with it now though. I find super easy cold starts, crisp throttle response, free revving engine with slightly stronger midrange & maybe top end and stock sound (not worth the price but the ride feels good). Personally I dont like the induction sound of the conical ones.

Hey aditya, what about k&n YA-1208 (yamaha r15) filter, it looks same as one in our ns?? can somebody do me a favour with uploading the size dimensions of stock air filter of 200ns? my nearby svc didnt had it so i cant measure it and my bike is not with me now for few days.

K&N KT-1211, the air filter of 200 Duke, is a direct fit on 200NS.

I don't have any air filter of 200 NS with me right now so I can not measure the dimensions. But as far as possible, try to avoid stock replacement filters meant for other bikes. I had to carry out a lot of follow up to cover up the mistakes made while cutting up the air box, to avoid raw air from going into the engine.

I have no idea where you got this piece of information from. The duke 200/390 airbox is half the size of that of 200NS.

See,even if you have a conical k&n rc1060 or 1100,which allows significantly more air than a stock replacement air filter, you dont need a 117.5 size main jet, from stock you have gone up four sizes:what::what:, mostly with even with a conical k&n two size up which is 110->112.5 is enough. Even 3 sizes up is waste of fuel.(why? Because contrary to popular opinion even with the same jet size, in a cv carb, a free flow af allows not only more air but slightly more fuel too, as more air carries with it more fuel,Understand it as More throttle in constant vaccum carb = more air= more fuel too(ignoring the holes), so with a fflow af with jets being constant, slighlty more fuel is already being carried by the air) So in your situaion with a 4 size upped jet, you might be losing some mileage, and running rich.

Instead of cutting the airbox, and using other model's stock repl. air filter, just remove the air box completely and get one of the unversal airfilters or the wole assembly air intakes. Rc1060 and r1100 is a direct fit on ns carb.
And when you are absolutely sic of k&n, put the airbox back again, no harm done

Need I mention again about the revised headwork? Even with that I don't think I required a bigger jet. But I went for it because it doesn't do much harm with one size increase (I standby what I said, 115 is the main jet which comes stock) and I'm gonna need it for this kind of slip-on I'll be installing soon:
